Per my husband, their "Buck Naked" boxers are even better than advertised. But I'm not here to review purchased items, I'm here to review the company's Port Washington store. Located on the southern end of the downtown strip, this store has a "woodsey" feel. There is much more product in the store than I initially anticipated and one could spend a fair amount of time browsing everything from womens and mens apparel to dog accessories to cook books to candies. There are many unique items that make fun gifts for relatives and friends; I often come here to find something for that hard-to-shop-for person. I have been in this store many times and it is always clean and well organized. The associates are friendly. However, a strange phenomenon occurs in this space. Time does not seem to exist. Not for the customers, not for the employees, just not at all. Ever. Don't get me wrong, the calm atmosphere is relaxing and I dont enjoy the hustle and bustle ever. It's often a neccessary evil. However, it should not take 40 minutes to make a simple exchange with 2 cashiers and a customer at each register. When an older lady tried to cut in front of me in line, after I waited all that time, I nearly lost my cool. The snail's pace is my only issue about this store. I do reccomend checking it out if you are in the area, and definitely for a unique gift item. Just know that it isn't a store you can just run in and run out.

So much that we returned to treat ourselves to a sentimental remembrance of an awesome day. It was run by a friendly couple who were hip enough to be running the Square retail credit card payment application. We enjoyed poking around and shopping in a store that was filled to the brim with tchotchkes and antiques. I found myself drawn to a display of jewelry handmade with rocks from the Port Washington shore of Lake Michigan. I had enjoyed spelunking on the lakefront and walking out to the lighthouse. I also found a spectacular set of compasses on display that I enjoyed looking at, as well as some rustic farmhouse type items. My friend was enamored with the beer steins and other collectible items. In the end both of us selected an item. I chose a coffee mug with a photo of the lighthouse on it, and he chose a beer stain to display on his mantel. We had a delightful friendly shopping experience here and we will return!

Prices are all over the place but are generally reasonable. I scored a nicely framed vintage ad poster for $35 and the Mister hit the JACKPOT on three Gerz steins - a 2L with a beautiful pewter top was less than $50 so he was beyond delighted. If vintage isn't your thing, there is seasonal decor, homemade soaps, beer glasses, Cubs themed wine glasses, Bret Farve and Aaron Rodgers art and so much more. Staff is super friendly and happy to let your browse.

Please be aware that the rumors are true concerning the steep decline in quality and customer…read moresupport from Allen Edmonds, once a renown quality shoe retailer. I do NOT recommend anyone buy from them, in particular their shell cordovan line. Shoes crafted in shell cordovan leather are a premium, heritage product meant to last generations. In their gammy hands they won't last a decade. Thanks to multiple corporate buy-outs and their attendant greed-driven cost cutting efforts, you now have the privilege of paying Allen Edmonds' premium price, but you no longer can expect a lasting, premium product in exchange for your money. And then if you complain about how you've been ripped off, there's a customer service supervisor on hand (after a half hour wait time) who will gaslight and stonewall you for your efforts. So, caveat emptor; avoid Allen Edmonds at all costs.

He wore them that evening to a restaurant but realized that they were overly long and created a tripping hazard. Upon returning home, we measured them against his other 10.5 E shoes and they were over 1" longer than the others. I called customer service and was told that since he had worn them (albeit for 3 hours at a carpeted restaurant) they were not eligible for return. I mentioned that they were more than 1" longer than they should be and she indicated that being over 1" longer than his other 10.5s was not considered defective and, therefore, not returnable. I continued to explain that these were $900 shoes! The customer representative then said she would send me a return label but that they would most likely be returned to me and that I would have to pay for the return-to-me shipping. All that I was seeking was to exchange the shoes for a pair that fit - not looking to get my money back. I have never experienced such poor customer service and will never ever shop Allen-Edmonds again nor recommend their products to anyone.
