We were initially very excited about working with Fringe after reading about them in some of the…read morelocal publications, even though most of the coverage was in paid advertorials. Unfortunately, early on it became very clear that the designer was way off track in her selections and presenting a plan that had no flow or cohesion with the rest of the home; merely a laundry list of items to purchase. When we did our own research on the pieces presented, it was clear that colors, scale, and overall cohesion was way off and so we decided to end the relationship. We were initially required to sign a contract for her to commence with the work, but when we decided to move in another direction with our project, the designer was unclear about the terms of the agreement she required us to sign. In fact, we had the option of choosing $2,500.00 in furnishings, but were sent an invoice for $2,500.00 with no mention of this option. When we pointed out the terms of the contract to the designer we were turned over to the owner of the store who wrote a very curt email to us that didn't address our questions or attempt to proceed in good faith. At that point we decided the situation was getting too toxic to continue with them and just paid the invoice. We have worked with other designer firms in the past so we are familiar with design agreements and making sure that designers are fairly compensated for their work. With Fringe Interiors, we believe that we were taken advantage of by a sales person and an owner, both of whom were more concerned with commissions than with building a long term customer relationship or future referrals.

I wore the shirt once and washed it. We wash with cold water and I never dry my shirts as I am a bigger chested person and dont want them to shrink. The print cracked and peeled and was ruined. No call has been returned and I want my money back. Tjere is sno reason a shirt for 35 dollars should do that after 1 wash. I spent 400 dollars that day. Mr Grady genuinely cares about his customers he was right there with his truck and crew 3 days in a row helping pack and move a house into storage. The cost was extremely reasonable. The staff during scheduling as well as the workers that came to our house were all friendly, respectful and timely. The pricing had no surprises and the crew was efficient. Smooth experience. The disappointment was in their pledge of '80% stays out of landfills'. This is the reason we spent more. We didn't expect that they would save every item we had them take, but they never even looked to consider one item at all. The crew brought a second truck for items to be taken for potential donation, but it was never opened, referred to, looked at or discussed. It wasn't even driven to the location of the items we had consolidated for the pickup. At no point was any item given a second look, considered or mentioned for a potential "second chance" at a useful life. We paid extra for the chance that our stuff, that was honestly not garbage, but a forced down-size, to get a second life with people that might use or appreciate it. This was never an option when the rubber met the road. Disappointing and overpriced for what we believed we were being sold.

First, I went to Village Ace in Glendale and luckily they were familiar with the handle. They gave me some parts, but after a couple return visits, they knew I was probably in over my head. Brandon suggested I take it all to Mike D at the Meinecke store. Thank you Brandon! Mike D is awesome! He knew the history of that particular faucet. He took it all apart, showing and naming all the pieces. He found what I missing, greased it all up, and put it all back together. He also gave me instructions for putting it back in the wall. I left feeling like an expert and couldn't have been any happier. THIS is why neighborhood hardware stores are so important. Thank you Mike D and Brandon. You saved the day!
