Absolutely horrible place to work with! My fiancé had a custom ring made here, and it was awful from the start! He wanted a specific design for my engagement ring, with an Elk ivory set in the middle instead of a stone. The first ring they made was hideous. It matched nothing of what my fiancé had described and was so poorly made. After arguing with them, wanting his money back. They said they wouldn't, and instead gave him store credit. So he had them try again to make the ring he wanted. Well the ring came out better than the first one. But after I wore it for a couple months I broke out into a horrible rash where the ring set on my finger. I only break out if the metals are fake, which they looked like since silver is all I wear and this ring looks nothing like the other 2 custom rings I wear (which give me no rash). We went back in again to ask the owner about it and he argued with me, saying it was real silver and I must be allergic to silver. He said he would talk to the jeweler and get back to us. Shocker though, haven't heard from him at all! So here we sit, with a custom ring I can't wear. And now we're looking at having to have someone else make rings that my fiancé and I can both wear. Absolutely horrible experience, and would rate them a 0 if it were possible. Ripping people off isn't the very Christian thing to do for someone who claims to be. Would not try your luck with this place, it's just not worth it. I would find a more reputable store that only does high quality, custom work thats well made. I took my wedding ring here to have a chipped diamond replaced. They offered the best price for the replacement. When we went to pick it up it looked beautiful but the new diamond was not centered in the setting so a corner of the diamond was sticking out and there was a gouge on the ring just below where they replaced my diamond. We took it back and showed them our concerns. They said it would be ready the next day. When I went to pick up the ring AGAIN the gouge was filled but my diamond was still sticking out (a major snag hazard and could break my diamond again). They're going to try a third time to get this right. I'm highly disappointed in my experience with them. The owner also took NO responsibility for anything (and didn't offer any kind of apology or anything), and just said he didn't know anything and I'd have to talk to the goldsmith. Poor customer service and poor customer satisfaction. I think I'll be taking my business elsewhere for any more jewelry concerns. read more

Great sales services, but the ring I had custom made has been nothing but problems. Every jeweler I take it to to get it cleaned tells me they charged me twice what the ring was worth. I have diamonds falling out all the time and the ring broke in half a few times just in the first three years. Their "warranty" is just garbage. If you enjoy being interrupted repeatedly either over the phone or in person, being disrespected as a customer, working with those who lack professionalism, communication skills, and fail on completing simple requests asked from us customers, these men are for you. After cleaning and dipping my husband's ring, the diamond falls out (first time ever). They fix it, and literally a week later, the same diamond falls out. We ship it to them with a note explaining the back story and including some simple requests such as: contacting me when the ring is completed and when it is shipped. They failed to deliver multiple times. I would have to contact them every other day and would be told they will contact me back, or give me the tracking number once it's been shipped, but nothing happened. Once you've given them your money, they don't care about you anymore. It's unbelieviable, and all the men working there should be replaced with those who are genuinely care for EVERY customer in and out of state. read more

I had the worst customer experience of my life at Main Street Diamonds. I live out of town and purchased a ring here. I needed to have it re-sized so I left it there and picked it up about a week later. When I picked it up the stone was very loose so I called and asked if they could fix it. They said they would so I brought it back and they said it would be ready in a week so I drove back to town in a week to pick it up. They told me it wasn't ready, so I asked them to call me when it was ready because I live out of town. They said they would. I waited for 3 more weeks and still hadn't heard anything so I went back to the store to get it. First they informed me that they couldn't find it. Then another man told me that they had sent it off for repair and they would call me when it was ready. I told him that I had already waited four weeks and would really like a phone call since I was originally told a week and had still heard nothing. Then he threw his hands up in the air and yelled at me, "What would you like me to do!?!" I calmly told him that I just wanted to make sure I got a phone call. Then he stormed off. I left town content to wait and got a voicemail about an hour later telling me it was ready. So obviously they lied to me about it not being in the store. I came back to pick it up a week later as that was the next chance I had to come back to town. I picked up the ring and took it home only to find out that the stone was as loose as ever. :( read more

Terrible customer service! I brought my engagement ring in because the center stone had popped out. Which was a turquoise stone. The owner told me that the prongs weren't big enough for the size of the stone so he said for $60 they could build up the prongs. He said it would be ready by the end of the week. (It was Monday). Friday afternoon I called to see if it was done. They said it wasn't but it should be done by the end of the day or by the end of Saturday. Never received a call. Then the next Monday they called and said it was done. My fiancé and I went in to get it, paid and left. After we left I noticed two huge gouges or scratches on my turquoise stone, that definitely weren't there before! I had my fiancé bring the ring back in and the owner told him that it was probably like that when we brought it in. He basically ruined my turquoise stone and wouldn't fess up to it. So he said they could try polishing the stone. He said to come back Tuesday around two to get it. We came back at 1:50 on Tuesday and got the ring. It looked better but wasn't the same. The owner smugly said that they weren't going to charge us. I would hope not since he was the one who scratched it in the first place. So then he asked us if we go to BYUI and we were like yeah. He looked at his watch and asked, "who is speaking at devotional today?" He tried making us feel bad for not being at devotional. Rick the owner is a total prick. He is rude and sucks at what he does. And my stone is loose. I would recommend no one to ever go here. read more

Terrible, terrible, terrible, my husband ordered me a necklace and ring on nov. 15th. They promised he would have them done by November 30th because we were going out of town for Christmas in December. On December 22nd they still were not done so they promised they would ship it to my husband in Arizona. Well Jan. 2nd rolls around and it still wasn't there and we drove back to Rexburg. My husband called them and they said that they sent it to the wrong address (after my husband told them the right address on three different occasions) then come to find out it got run over by a mail truck and the post office supposedly wouldn't send it back to them. So the guy told us he would call us back as soon as it got there. He didn't. So we called again on a Saturday and he said it should be here Monday. So we went in on the Monday he told us to and the guy said he couldn't find it and he would ask the owner and personally call us back. Well he never called us. So now it is the middle of Jan. And we still don't have the necklace. Finally he calls my husband and says it's ready (Jan. 23) he gets it and brings it to me and his grandpas opal is chipped and there is scratches all over the back and it looked nothing like how he said it was going to. So this time I took it back in and explained all of this to them. The young guy behind the counter was laughing and told me that the owner said he's busy until Wednesday of the following week. So here we are still waiting for a call and we still haven't gotten it. They do not prioritize based on the order that you pay for it, they lie, and they have the worst customer service I have ever experienced DO NOT waste your time with them.
