Had a stopover in Asheville and decided to check out a local comic shop. I happened to bring a…read moredozen of my comics from the 60s for possible sale. I arrived and spoke with the owner briefly, then left my books for her to check out while I browsed the store. I must say I was amazed at how well the store was laid out. Plenty of room to browse the different areas and sections. All areas clearly marked and arranged by themes. Most comic stores tend to be crammed into tight spaces and claustrophobic but this store was a pleasure to go through Nice selection of back issues and current issues, figurines, posters, graphic novels, games, and much more. And very reasonable prices too. Highly recommend if you're in the Asheville area, check it out! Oh, the very knowledgeable owner and I came to a fair deal for a dozen of my books!

I couldn't name a better store or community…read more A huge selection of products and cards. They go above and beyond to make sure anyone can get into the game for the amount of money they can spend with affordable play and some budget options for newer players. I've been going to gamers haunt for 8 years and every time i've had a good experience. Everyone on staff is knowledgeable and incredibly friendly to players of all skills and ages. The owner, Charla is one of the most charismatic and fun people I know. The community is also incredible. If you need support or advice on the game someone will be there. I have made so many friends playing at gamers haunt and some life long memories. When the hurricane came through and wrecked the old location it was really inspiring to see everyone pitch in help and money to get a temporary home and fix up the Haunt. It is a really good place to meet real people and have a great time. I owe so much to the store and I hope everyone can have as good of a time there as I did.

Good Prices and Knowledgeable staff…read more I have only recently started to visit the store after a friend mentioned it to me. The staff was very knowledgeable and quickly answered my questions, the prices also seemed fair, I ended up picking up a random box of commons/uncommon, junk rares and foils very little duplication in the box which was great as I am getting into EDH after being out of magic for years. on the second trip, I got one of the throne brawl decks as well as a few singles and some sleeves for a deck idea I had. I priced what I paid later against another local store and 2 online shops and found the prices to be lower than the other local and only slightly higher than the online once the shipping was added. It was a bonus that they had every card I requested on hand (14 cards total) the other store only had 11.

Date of visit: September 18, 2024…read more This record store was just down the block from my hotel and I thought it would be a great place to snag something for my husband as a "souvenir" of Asheville. There is an interesting variety of records here, both new and used, all well-categorized by genre. I know that can be helpful for some but with his wide-ranging tastes, I ended up in almost all of the sections, and separating country into multiple sub-genres was an exercise in frustration as I am not familiar with the differences! I spent at least 25 minutes in the store trying to find something from his Amazon Wish List, but I utterly and completely struck out on my visit here. Even more disappointing was that despite the length of time I was there, the woman at the front paid me no mind from the beginning of my visit until the end.
