I want everybody to know how great this place is! I'll be honest. I stumbled across this place while reaching out to find somewhere to sell some of my comic items. I'm a transgender individual, and I needed to make some money to help me complete my expense goals. A lot of places couldn't help, and I understood. I decided to shoot an email to Morgan's comics. I didn't want to give up my things, but they could be replaced, and I only got one shot at top surgery. I quickly received a response email the very next day from Matt. I sent him photos and a list of all the items, and he quickly worked up a deal. Like a good deal. Most places will take you for a chump, but they didn't do it here. Morgan, thanks for that little extra today. I didn't expect it nor asked for it, just mention. It means a lot. Thank you! I went by today and made the trade. Morgan was there, and she is one of the most absolute amazing people you'll ever meet! I can't wait to meet Matt in person. I'm sure he's just as amazing as well. They really helped me out when no one else could, and no one else would. I'm not mentioning them so you just go sell your items to them. I want you to know about them so you go and shop there! They did something good for me and I want to pay it forward. It has a great location and free, open parking in the back. When you walk in it's definitely a safe space during Covid with plexiglass at the register and mask. I personally enjoyed seeing 1984 Wonder Woman cardboard cutout as I walked into the door! Also, the knowledge blows over with this one! We exchanged something new to each other which is rare. Normally only one of leaves with a new recommendation. Know it is the very 1st female run Comic book shop in all of Asheville. It's so important for us to support women. This place is also an allie of the LBGTQ community. They really care about you. They did me and my transition. Upon meeting Morgan, by the time I left, we had shared very intimate stories, and that made me feel very special. I'm an open book with everyone, and for her to show her vulnerability to me on the first timr I met her, says a lot about who she is. I also was invited to a lot of the things that they do. She even said that I could shoot her a message, and make sure I had things to read while I'm laid up after surgery. They have all sorts of get together's and fun activities. I cannot wait to be a part of all of the things that they do! If you want to support a local comic shop, I'm gonna tell you to come to Morgan's comics. They genuinely care about you, they are supportive of our community, support local artists, and the shop is full of all sorts of different things! It's not too big or small, it's just right. Head over there and find something from the past, something from a local artist, or maybe just go and make a new friend when you go in to get your comics, a T-shirt, or action figures. Either way, once you go in you're gonna want to return over and over again. And of course yes, they do buy nerd stuff to rehome to other awesome nerd families! They take the word nerd and empower it. It feels like old Asheville. It feels like the Asheville I remember and love when I go in. Thank you guys for everything and I cannot wait to see you again! I was in another store asking about Caitlin Kiernan and Lauren told me about this place and that they had a few copies of a particular collection of her stories, which was the first time a bookstore employee even knew who I was talking about when I asked about Kiernan. Lauren was super helpful and knowledgeable and really friendly. I hadn't heard of Morgan's yet but I'm glad she told me about this store and I'll definitely make it a place I visit regularly! read more

We went in the store for pokemon stuff we were in back looking. And we met izzy that works there she was very friendly and smart she helped atlas with pokemon card and talked to him about the she has lots of knowledge he really enjoyed her help she help him open and look at his cards telling him about what he has. Great place for families! Morgan's comics has it all great people, fun events, and a lot of variety when it comes to comic books, toys, and everyone's favorite, Pokémon cards! The staff is super fun and knowledgeable and there's always something going on as far as events, board game nights, trivia and even karaoke! I love going to Morgan's Comics. Morgan is so amazing and helpful. Whatever your nerd needs are you will feel welcome and safe in Morgan's store. Board game nights and incredible conversations.
