They get creative with things like "reindeer corn" around the holidays and themed stuff for Valentines, etc. I also like how reasonable their prices are-they are more than fair and affordable. But you come here in part for three things: the maple syrup (nuff said), the view, and the Maple Creemees. We could call it soft serve but well, Vermont. The creemees are delish. And they had the creemees available in April, which I understand is not common. Also, I loved all the maple items available for sale and while I didn't get to indulge this time, next visit I'll be doing a maple syrup tasting. There are also Vermont themed items to buy. Their chocolates are made right here on site…read more Every morning, the solid chocolate is melted 100 pounds at a time in an antique copper kettle, tempered, and prepped to become a dizzying assortment of chocolates. Think  handmade creams, truffles, mints, cordials, butter-crunch, caramels, nut clusters, turtles, chocolate covered orange peel, ginger, apricots and pretzels. Want more? How about fudge, white chocolate, barks, clusters, pops, and sugar free chocolates. We paid $38.22 for a bagful of goodies - 2 boxes of hand picked chocolates (sugar free and high test), a piece of bark, a chocolate bar, and two turkey shaped chocolate pops for the grand kiddos. A small gift bag of nonpareils was  tossed in gratis. The store is quite large, so walking around and checking out the goods is quite a fun experience. The only disappointment we had was that their chocolate apple season just ended the week before.

In a world where customer service can sometimes feel rushed or impersonal, this place is a breath of fresh air. What touched me the most was a beautiful moment with my daughter. She did a good deed for her, and instead of wanting anything in return, she simply told my daughter to pass it on and return the favor to someone else one day. My brother and I were recently in Manchester, VT and while walking around downtown, we stopped in here. Just the outside of the building makes you wanna go in. Then you get in there and it's legit like you're a kid again. The layout is amazing. Upstairs and downstairs to this place. Downstairs is the candy and probably the nicest lady EVERRR to work in a retail store. Really wish I had gotten her name. I swear if more stores had people like her, I think more people would go back to stores vs shopping online. She's above and beyond pleasant, friendly, funny, so accommodating, just an absolute delight of a person. This place kinda feel like something you'd see in a movie. Maybe a movie from "yesteryear" (I hate that word lol, but it kinda applies here haha) It's just so homey!
