They "kindly" lowered the bill to 375, still over 2x the quoted hourly labor rate (plus materials). I would have been happy to pay what the job was worth or even up to 300 if the bid was a little off but man, to be that off on a bid they (he) must not know what they're doing. Management was also not man enough to say "hey we REALLY screwed up on that bid. Here's a bill for what it was really worth." If I didn't pay the 375, I would be sent to collections. What a rip off of a company that doesn't stand behind their advertised pricing.

As far as not working with us anymore because of sending back a bad part, that is not the reason. You took no responsibility for making us spend money a second time on another part, and made no apologies for it. And no, you didn't charge us anything, but you did offer to put it back together unfixed for $300. Or do you not remember that? Bottom line...we got stuck with 2 unecessary parts and four months of headaches. If you didn't want to work with us anymore, you should have told us instead of ignoring us and keeping us waiting for so long. There were numerous issues - they initially told us our roof could handle solar.  The installers arrived and said there was an issue with the roof.  We had three different roofing companies inspect our roof - two when we purchased the house a few months prior to the solar being installed and one when Freedom Solar told us the roof had a problem.  NONE of the 3 roofing companies felt there was an issue.  Then Freedom had material issues.  We chose them because they told us they were a local company, which turns out they are not, and that parts were ALWAYS on hand. Finally the day arrives for the electrician and the panel installers to install the solar. The electrician did his work, unfortunately, the panel installers quit in the middle of the job. Why?  We have no clue.  We knew about the electrical boxes on the house because we could see them.  What angered us - the holes in our roof that were left behind by Freedom Solar. They neglected to tell us about the holes.  Had we not gone up to look at the roof, we would have discovered the problem only when the roof started leaking.   Fortunately, Proud American came to our rescue. They repaired the roof, as you can see in the photos.  They also did a fantastic job installing our solar. We did not have one problem with Proud American - we highly recommend them for solar!

First time rating was like a 2 or 3 but when the second team came out and did everything that was explained to me by the sales person the foreman made sure I was satisfied with the work that was done. Then the last tech came out to make sure AC was ready to be used this summer due to I had system installed in winter time my furnace was 56 years old lol but coat was about avg and the kicker 15 yrs parts and labor and lifetime on the heater exchange was a true selling point.
