Needed a custom order that would require lamps plus to work with the vendor (Schonbek.) April 14th, placed order. April 30th returned order. May 14 finally heard back from lamps plus on custom order. Took payment by phone. May 25th lamps plus called. Needs a signed PO for custom order. So the order was never placed. June 3rd. Manager calls to ask us to sign the PO to place order. June 6th. Received a call from lamps plus stating they didn't process payment yet and I'll be receiving an email with instructions payment. June 7th. Received sketchy outlook email requesting me to email respond with my credit card info, address, 3 digit code. Of course I refused to do this. June 24th. Received phone call from lamps plus to confirm color after 2 weeks. Applause. June 26th. Lamps plus Called to say the color is going to be double the price. Kind sales said we can either pay for the difference or get a full refund. This is fraud and extortion. I will not be paying double. I will not accept a full refund. I expect to get a product I paid for and extra to customize it. That's it. Good luck to future customers.

Because of the size and weight, it cost an additional $1,200.00 to have the ceiling reinforced and hung. This piece is now over $4,000.00! Just one week from the three year anniversary of purchasing it, the chandelier just quit working! The manufacturer, Troy Lighting, simply said, essentially, Too Bad, you've only got a one year warranty. UL, however, stepped up and connected us with a specialist in the lighting repair and restoration field and determined it could be repaired!!! We began purchasing from UL nearly 20 years ago and, today, more than 85% of the fixed and non-fixed lighting, and at least 35% of accessories, in our home are from them. Because of their professionalism to not just helping the customer, but also taking a proactive approach to doing what is right, our future lighting and home decor needs will come from UL!! As we made our way to the other side of the showroom, we were then approached by the male sales associate who owns the adorable dog. He was pleasant as we asked him questions about a $1700 light fixture to go over our dining room table. Although, a little too pushy as to the order we should purchase things, but I suppose that's the "designer" in him. Lol. Then, we had found some lighting we loved that was also on sale/clearance. When, we asked him questions about that fixture his whole demeanor changed. He was short, rude and condescending. We walked out. I will be back to purchase the expensive light fixture, but only in case there is a problem. I will have a store and people to help me. Otherwise, I would get it online. I will purchase it from a female employee. A little ironic for someone selling light fixtures to look down on someone who has spent a fortune on a renovation.
