Honest, friendly, knowledgeable, and punctual. Says what he's going to do and does it. I would not hesitate to use him again.

Two inspectors came out, and at the time the inspection seemed fine. After actually living in the house, however, we have discovered just how much was missed. The electrical system has required repairs, and the breaker panel has rat's-nest wiring that causes breakers to trip frequently and need to be reset. Additional electrical work is still needed. Several roof joists need replacement. The attic was not inspected because there was no conventional access. At the time, we accepted that explanation. Since then, we have spoken with other experienced home inspectors who told us the attic still could have been evaluated using other inspection methods. The boiler was already approximately 27 years old at the time of the inspection, putting it near the end of its expected service life. That was not meaningfully discussed with us. There was also corrosion in the boiler lines that was not called out. We have also discovered foundation problems and an ongoing plumbing issue that were not identified. Most seriously, there is a leak in a main water pipe that is contributing to damage around the foundation. The plumbing and foundation work needed to correct the problem is now expected to cost us more than $69,000. The pellet stove and chimney also have significant problems that were not brought to our attention. Several windows need replacement because of framing gaps, openings, and cracking that were missed as well. I understand that a home inspection cannot uncover every hidden defect. That is not what I expected. What concerns me is the number and severity of the problems that were either missed or not flagged for further evaluation. We relied on this inspection when making one of the largest purchases of our lives. Had we known about even several of these issues, we would have requested additional inspections, negotiated repairs or pricing, or reconsidered the purchase entirely. Unfortunately, we are now paying the price for trusting that the inspection gave us an accurate picture of the condition of the home. I am posting this because I wish someone had given us this kind of information before we hired them. Based on our experience, I would strongly encourage buyers to slow the process down, obtain specialist inspections when there are any questions, and not rely solely on this company's inspection before purchasing a home.
