The first electrician very clearly had no idea what he was doing. I wanted a fixture hung with required entering my attic and an outdoor outlet that stopped working some time ago fixed First, no one called me to let me know they were coming which is just poor customer service from the start. Second the clueless electrician spent the first hour (their minimum billing time) wondering all over my home checking every outlet trying to find some mysterious GFI that just had to be the issue. Eventually he leaves (to pick up another electrician who knows what he is doing to some extent as well as a suitable ladder). The other electrician fixes the outlet and they poorly hang the fixture before being asked to leave after another hour as to not a waste anymore time or money. $160 for one hour of actual work. Never ever again will I do business with this company and recommend others not to as well. read more

Gotta say, I'm not too impressed. I called at 8:30 this morning to get a quote on having my ducts cleaned/sanitized, but the guy (I believe his name was Jerry) wasn't around yet, so the person on the phone told me she'd have him call in about an hour... by 10, still no call, so I calked again, she said he had to run out and shouldn't be long and she'd have him call me. It's now 2:30p, 6 hours after my initial call and still no call back. If you're a business and you're busy, great. Just let your customers know that. I'm very disappointed. I always go local as much as I can and so I thought id call Royal Electric... sadly, if this is their idea of customer service, I'm glad I didn't choose them for my business. read more

Not only did they fix my thermostat, they bought a better one for like 60% less than what we bought and told us to return the other to get our money back!! I cannot tell you how wonderfully helpful everyone at Royal was. This is part of my continued eviction saga. Late one night, I was notified by phone (I was living in Florida at the time) by a somewhat surly police officer that my electric was not up to code at the house and the tenant said he had to try to fix it. And there were sparks and a small fire and I would be getting a call from Code Enforcement in the morning! It actually took Code Enforcement a few days to call, at which point I was told that my house was now condemned. In order to have the condemnation lifted, I had to pass code inspections on all my utilities. This was fair because the tenant had bypassed all the utilities. Or tried to. I had to have a lot of work done on the house to repair the damage. And I was living in Florida. Royal Electric could not have been more helpful. They scheduled with my sister, when I couldn't be there. Eventually, I just gave them a key. And when I showed up in Pueblo three weeks later, everything was done. They coordinated everything with Black Hills and the city inspector and Code Enforcement. Because of their hard work, I was able to start fixing my house as soon as I was back in Pueblo. I could not have gotten it done without them. I am loyal to Royal. :) read more

I am an owner of multiple properties and have worked with this company multiple times. In the past the owner has reassured me of their Buisness model and instilled confidence in continuing to use them for future heating/maintenance repairs. Recently I had contacted Royal Electrical Services, Inc and scheduled an appointment for a heating service. On the day of my appointment I had to continuously reach out to the general manager (Lance) regarding confirmation and continued questioning of timeliness of the repairman. During the last conversation I was told the repairman was running late and there was nothing that would be done about the lack of communication and tardiness. The frustration began when the general manager (Lance) threatened to cancel my appointment and ended the conversation, leading to an extra wait time of fifteen minutes after my scheduled appointment time and having to recall the office to find out an ETA and was told the appointment was fully cancelled. This is very unprofessional, gives the thoughts if the company actually believes in their Buisness model. This is a company I would not recommend if time management is important. read more

I called this company and set a date for an install, the date was two weeks later and we both agreed. I sent an email with detailed information and got no response. I called to follow up and they said ya we got it and it's on the schedule. We agreed to a price, even though they were more then any other electrician I talked with. The day of the install I emailed again and asked if they could meet me between a set time, no response. The end of the day I called the office and ask what happened and when they can be out the following day. The office person said "oh the owner didn't want to do this job anymore and the other office person sent you an email saying so (did not happen). If the electrician is anything like the owner and office staff, yikes. read more

Michelle, who answers phones, was great about answering my many questions about pricing, how my AC problem would be diagnosed, etc. They fit me in before a long holiday weekend, which was a miracle in itself (Thanks be to God!). I had heard that Domingo was great and quick at his job and even though he worked hard all day on other jobs and could have put my AC job off until Tuesday, he came Friday afternoon and did a GREAT job, and showed me what he was doing because I'm always curious about how to fix things. Anyway, he was very kind, patient and knowledgeable. The price to fix the capacitor was extremely reasonable and I didn't feel like kicking myself for not trying to fix it myself--always a bummer when the price is waaaaay above what you could have done it yourself for. I was so glad to have someone like Domingo handle the electricity part of it and get the job done right and quickly on a hot day. 10/2016 I had 2 good experiences; therefore, the one star. The last two experiences were not good and I would not recommend this company. The electrician nicked my Rangehood and we complained. The head electrician said the service man said we were at fault. We did not notice the nick until after he left. We inspected the Rangehood for any defects or damage before he installed the hood. We noticed immediately after he left. The company did not acknowledge our word. We will not use them again and we will not tell anymore of our friends or associates' to use them. read more

I just needed a 30 amp RV box hook up to my electrical panel and even had the box mounted outside and the wiring at the panel to connect. I called the Owner Paul Villegas and he quoted 120.00 and that included a new switch and going in my basement to see what it would take to add more outlets. He sent a worker to do the job and the guy was 45 min late and only took 15 minutes hooking up the RV box and used my switch because he brought the wrong one and told my husband he would charge time to go to town to get a new one. He never went into the basement and did not wait for me to get home. He said he was off the clock at 4:00 pm which was the scheduled appointment time. The worker took the full 120.00 which is what I left in cash and my husband not knowing since they charged by the hour it should be less gave him. I got home and called Paul and told him I should not have had to pay that much for 15 min. He then said the guy got lost finding my house and it was an after hour call. I was never quoted for after hours and I told him the guy used my switch and I paid for a new one as well as for 1 1/2 hrs for 15 min. He said its 1 hr min at 75.00. He said he would talk to his worker and get back to me. He never called back and he is not replying to my messages. These guys are crooks. DO NOT TRUST THEM! read more

The electrical work was ok. His prices are way too high - get other quotes first. He refitted the underlay with such incompetence the carpet looked like sand dunes. 2 attempts at fixing it failed so all of the bedroom furniture had to be taken out of the bedroom, the carpet taken up and the underlay re-fitted which took hours and hours . What a mess - the appalling thing is he knew full well he had left the job like that and was happy to do so. read more

I asked Royal Electric to perform an inspection on a property. The electricity has been turned off as the house was vacant. We needed to know what was needed to have electricity restored. I was advised that they do not charge for this service. They visited the property and some repairs. We had them perform the repairs. All of this was at the cost of my client. When we called to have the electrical restored we were advised that Royal had not performed necessary repairs. I called Royal and was advised that in order to determine what was needed, I would need to pay for another inspection. Because they did not do the correct inspection to begin with this now would have to come out my own pocket. They agreed to split the cost of a new inspection. I advised them that I would need a detailed breakdown of the costs because my client would require that. They performed the inspection and provided a total repair cost, but it was not itemized. I called and requested more detail. I was advised that the person who needed to do this was out and I would have to wait. When he returned, they provided some detail, but the estimate was still vague and still insufficient to submit to my client. I repeatedly asked for more detail and was advised that they are unable to provide the detail. I wanted to know the itemized costs for the installation of smoke and CO2 alarms, among other things and they claim they can not break out these costs. I advised them I would pay for the inspection after I received an itemized list of the costs. Instead of providing that they are threatening to send me to collections. A contractor who will not tell you what you are paying for each item is not an honest contractor. read more
