What's nice is that they have lit courts until 11:15pm, which is a rarity outside of Seattle. While Liberty is a fairly well-maintained park, you definitely want to watch your back, especially at night. I've seen more than my fill of drunkards, tweakers, homeless, etc. and a man walking around with a large knife... Like the rest of downtown Renton, it is unfortunately not the safest of areas. If you are looking to play competitive pickleball, the community of pickleball players here after 4pm are fairly high-level and many of them play in local pickleball tournaments. Overall: 3/5 for park maintenance, 1/5 for park safety

Surprised I forgot to write a review for them in the past! The biggest downside is the parking lot. There's literally like 7 parking spots so it fills up crazy fast. There is some street parking around the block for worst case scenario though. The other downside is that there is only a portable bathroom here and it's usually pretty gross, so plan to go before you leave home! The park itself is a pretty good size. There's a loop of a paved walking trail where lots of people were walking their dogs. The playground is a decent size but it's pretty exposed so bring lots of sunscreen and water! There is a decent amount of shade on the outskirts and on the trail because it's covered in large trees. A few picnic tables and benches here and there as well as a basketball court. It's a decent little park if you're nearby but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

There is a brightly colored playground for the kids which looks as well kept as the rest of the grounds and safe. There is one basketball court and a few benches scattered around here and there. This really is a small park which kind of explains the lack of parking. But there is enough room for your little ones to run (kids & dogs) or even toss a ball around or frisbee. The walking trail is small but if you circle it a couple of times, you might be able to get a small sweat.
