The service here was SOOO much better. I appreciate them providing a loaner car (the other place gave a small Uber credit which wouldn't cover full rides). The service advisor even talked me through what work actually needed to be done to help lower the cost of the service. I was also surprised that they were willing to take my car to get the IL emissions test completed, saving me an errand! Great friendly staff, they seem trustworthy, and I recommend this spot if you need MB service.

But when I had a known defect, and it cost me $2,000 to fix on the road at a dealer (and 2 nights hotel over a weekend after being towed from middle of nowhere), they just lied. They promised to get back to me. I understand being busy, so I waited for salesman to return call. Then I escalated to manager on duty when I stopped in store (and returned their inventory control fobs). No response after 4 phone calls. Then I escalated to Sales manager. Promise to resolve and work with service manager. Multiple calls later no response since before Memorial day. We are now well past 4th of July and looking hard at Labor Day. Even if they would not honor the problem, I asked if they would reach out to Subaru of America on my behalf to see they support. So 2.5 out of 5 for commitment to customer. The part that really frustrated me is they screwed up filling my license plate transfer for 3 months that they charged for. That set me up for an Deerfield cop with ALPR to give me a ticket that took me hours and hours of time at: - the Secretary of State, - talking to my insurance company, - talking to McGrath (at various levels and waiting for someone else to be in 'tomorrow'), - talking to my lawyer, - calling Springfield office of Secretary of State, and - a whole day to drive up to Waukegan for the ticket costing me more gas, tolls and a day of work. So 1 out of 5 for following their contracted, legal, fiduciary duty to file paperwork with State of Illinois (by simple computer website). I hate seeing a License plate holder from any of the McGrath dealerships on cars around Chicagoland. TLDR: They lie and don't follow up to their commitments.

I took a quick test drive and asked them to give me an offer on my 2019 VW Arteon trade, which was in great condition. The initial offer for trade was fair and for the purchase did contain a $1999 protection package, $399 scanning/storing doc fee, and the normal tax/title/doc fees. We did a very quick negotiate where I let them know what my amount would be for me to purchase and they took less than 10 minutes to return to let me know we were good to go. The was the first time I have ever purchased a car in Chicago area due to most dealers refuse to remove all the extra fees and offer extremely low trade in offers. Total transcation with financing included was less than two hours for me to drive away a very happy customer.

We brought our 2018 Toyota Camry in that was under a third party warranty which said they take, Sam was nice up front...no problem we'll try and get whatever covered we can with the warranty blah blah blah then came back hours later and said it will be $2,500 just to tear down the engine and see what's wrong with it (not covered under warranty), and then "they'll see" what the warranty covers. We already knew it is a timing chain issue as we've taken it to 2 private mechanics and that it would be covered as we called our insurance company ahead of time. Of course this didn't matter because this was just a money grab and as Sam said..."my guys are gonna get paid". When we declined to have Toyota do the service and try to steal from us (this is after the $222 they charged us to look at the car (laughable as a Toyota owner) the "manager Joel" was of no help and had no explanation when we asked why Sam never once said this fee may be a possibility passed on which problem it could be. We would have never agreed to this in the first place. When we said he was a terrible customer service manager he said we were terrible customers! Wow...amazing service. I would never recommend this Toyota dealership for anything
