But first, I want to let you know that this place is like the TARDIS. You will be astounded when you walk in and see what reading treasures await. Whether you're looking for a newspaper, magazine, graphic novels, or books of all genres, you will find it here. The owner, Dean (who is absolutely marvelous and a mainstay of our lovely town) can also special order any book you'd like. We've been to several events (before Covid), which were especially interesting. It is like going to a book chat and finding a room full of friends. I'm so grateful for this crucial business, right downtown, and open EVERY single day. I'm never far away from reading, thanks to them! Highly recommended.

This newstand limits the number of copies of a newspaper you can buy. I went in to buy six copies…read moreof the Trib to give to relatives as the obituary for a loved one was in the Friday, Nov. 28 edition, a fact I mentioned to the clerk. He would only sell me three papers. In addition, rather than taking the opportunity to offer his condolences, he choose to utter a smart assed remark about not selling me the copies I needed by saying, "it's tough to be a newstand if we have no newspapers." The fact wouldn't sell me the copies I needed was inconvenient. His callous and smart ass attitude is what will keep me from supporting, what otherwise, would be a business I would normally love to support.

So keep an eye out for it, as you drive. Today, was my first time at Six-Corners neighborhood in many, many years and I'm glad that I made the trip to it. This store is very well stocked with magazines and many types of magazines that you don't find at a Jewel-Osco magazine rack or check-out aisle. Being a film buff, I was glad to find "Cinema-Retro" magazine as well as several discounted hardcover books. Today, I spent $134 here on magazines & books and I had a good time doing it. I was able to browse without interruption until I found the items that I wanted to purchase. The check-out clerk was very helpful and polite, the place was very clean, very well lit and the magazine racks were very well organized. There's also a small coffee shop in the store. I have been calling the Advance News Paper for years asking them to stop delivering to our home…read more I told them that every year my two stage snowblower would get clocked and my safety bolts would snap when their plastic wrapped newspaper that was thrown into my driveway and then covered with snow got clogged in my Shute. I have called their business office two weeks ago and requested again that they take us off their delivery... I was told that we were off the list... but again we have this trash tossed into our driveway. Their delivery is non stop... if there is anyone else out there who has these problems please contact me so we can take legal action. I am tired that my snowblower gets broke when I need it most all because of this trash being tossed into my driveway. Bad bad business, and they could care less about the problem that they create.
