Why I fired Maid Brigade: The service started OK with a few bumps but leveled out to acceptable performance. Then I started noticing things missing around the house after they cleaned. To test the possibility of the Maid Brigade being the source, I counted the number of a particular item/first problem of concern before and after their visit; there were fewer of the item after the cleaning. So, after that, I moved the item to a place they did not access, thinking I had solved the problem by removing temptation; I did not call the Office and moved on. My mistake! Next, another item was nowhere to be found after another cleaning, and to give them the benefit of the doubt, I spent several days looking for it around the house, and it was nowhere to be found. Now I called the Maid Brigrade local office. The Office staff said they would ask the crew; the crew told them they had no knowledge of the item, and that was the end of it for the Office. After the next cleaning a similar item was again missing. I called the office immediately, and the response was a laissez-faire attitude - No one saw it or took it. Frankly, that is impossible because it was in a bathroom they cleaned. I told the Office staff they could not return that crew to our house. I don't know which is worse: doing the deed, tolerating the deed, or covering up the deed. The Office said they would switch us to a different cleaning crew. At first, I agreed, but as I sat with the violation of my personal space and realized I might never be able to replace the items because they were from overseas, I decided that the "ah shucks" attitude - we know nothing; we will do nothing to find out was just unacceptable; So, I terminated our service and wrote this review. Do with it what you will. read more

Thanks Yazmin Gonzalez of Maid Brigade of Bridgeport, CT, for sending Denise & Marlene to clean my apartment. My former tenant was filthy. I never thought I would rent without gutting the apt & getting all new appliances. I will try to post before & pix. I will definitely recommend Maid Brigade of Bridgeport again, & use them. read more

My first suggestion is that no one ever use this company for cleaning anything. We are moving into a new home and wanted the kitchen and bathrooms cleaned. We ordered a new stove so that and the refrigerator did not have to be touched. We were quoted two hours with two people max. I honestly thought that was over by a half hour. They arrived early and tried to charge us for wait time. We arrived on time. They barely cleaned it was more like your kid trying to help. Think dusting not cleaning. One of the staff was on her phone constantly. We called to complain and were told she is taking an English class. Are you kidding me, what does that have to do with getting the job done. They refused to adjust the bill and rams up almost $270 in charges. My next step will be the better business bureau and if I don't get a refund small claims even if it costs me. Worst experience I have had with a business in a long time. Here are some pictures taken AFTER they allegedly cleaned. One cabinet not touched the others are rags after WE cleaned them after they were finished!!!! read more

Horrible. 1) the quote on the phone was not the same as the quote when they arrived. 2) they didnt clean anything properly. 3) they didn't sweep the floor! They didnt even have a broom!!! 4) they called a second team in which was just as bad as the first and a supervisor who did nothing and LEFT without reinspecting!! 5) Finally told them to leave and swept myself. I basically wasted my entire day and $600 babysitting and checking their work. read more

When you don't know who to call. I was moving and I needed to have my old apartment cleaned for the next tenant. I called a number of services and wasn't really comfortable until I spoke with Yazmin at Maid Brigade in Derby. I mentioned what I needed and Yazmin gave me a number of options. I selected the service and we set up a time. I still was unsure and didn't know what to expect. They arrived right on time and set to work immediately. As I was still busy moving a few remaining items, I didn't have the opportunity to supervise, at all. When I saw one of the people cleaning the bathroom with a toothbrush, I knew I was in good hands.I spoke to the new tenant shortly thereafter and they mentioned how nice the apartment looked and smelled. By the way, I had Maid Brigade come to my new apartment and get my new digs in Branford in ship shape. Thanks Maid Brigade. read more

Do not use this company, ever! Almost no cleaning was done, and my wife and I had to go back and clean everything again before we moved in. The rags that we used to reclean everything were filthy. Took us a whole day after to do clean the house. Most areas didn't even have to be wiped to see the dirt all you had to do was look and you could see the amount of dust/dirt that was there. After argument over the phone, they still charged me but gave me a "discount". The terrible work was still not worth what they ended up charging my card. I will never consider this company ever again and will never recommend them to anyone! Stay away! read more

This company is very reliable not only for you but for the environment as well. They use all green products that help make your home as clean as possible. They are a very managable company and always focus on your needs. There is never any extra costs, and their prices are very much considerable. You will never be charged for something that was never cleaned and will always be aware at all time what is being done to your home read more

Definitely look elsewhere. This is a lovely group of people, but it really is a very poor service. We asked for our place to be cleaned after renovations were finished, there was no big debris just wiping down surfaces and cleaning floors, windows, light shades. The floors were left with a cover of grit and were sticky so that I actually had to mop all of them again myself. The windows were only partially cleaned, with dust on the sills in the corners. The light shades - which is specifically asked be cleaned - were cleaned on the outside, but they explained to me that they couldn't remove the fingerprints from the inside. Of course I had to just take the window shades off myself and clean the insides (extremely simple). So after spending $200 to have the house cleaned, I had to spend the morning doing it again myself. Extremely disappointed. read more

The supervisor on the phone was so nice. They quoted 196.00 for two hours. I put a limit of 200.00 on their contract and I'm glad I did. They came acted if they didn't want to do the job. I cleaned up for them so all they had to do is to go over what I did except for the floors. A big sticky due to Soda I believe. So they said they would call sup and then they came back said job would be 206.81 and they didn't do whole place. That did the kitchen and living room and hall way. That apt is 1050 square feet. Never again. It was the attitude. read more

I have the staff at Maid Brigaid cleaning my large home every 2 weeks. Their rates are reasonable, their staff is courteous and friendly. Yazmin in the office always responds to my emails promptly and lets me know if the schedule of cleanings is changing due to holidays, etc. I have been a customer for nearly 3 years and am happy to continue with their services. read more

Awful service! They were there 5 hours? They didn't vacuum my stairs, there were dust balls everywhere and my house didn't smell clean! What a total waste of money. I'm so disappointed read more

I have used Maid Brigade for so many years now that I am not sure how long it has been! I used them when I had a big house and then, when I moved into a condo, I continued to use their services. I rely on Maid Brigade because it is reasonable in price, and I usually have the same team coming each time. My team does a great job, is very reliable, courteous, and thorough in cleaning. I totally trust them to be alone in my house and have never had any problem of anything missing. Jazmin, the main contact person who helps when I need to change the date of my scheduled cleaning or to suspend it when I am traveling, is very efficient and professional. I have a regular schedule of cleaning my condo every other week which works perfectly for me; I can choose the general time frame of their arrival which I really appreciate as well. This is a top notch group that I can fully recommend. read more

I needed a thorough cleaning for the condo that I was selling, as my tenant left the place a mess. When I called Maid Brigade they were extremely friendly and helpful over the phone and kept in contact with me throughout the process, as I do not live near the condo I was selling. The buyer of my condo was very pleased with the condition that the unit was left in and that was in large part to the great service i received from Maid Brigade. read more

What I like about them is they will schedule me months in advance so I have a solid schedule of when they are coming (every 3 weeks), and I don't have to call every month to set something up (like I did with independant cleaning ladies). Yazmin is prompt, reliable and courteous as my contact. She even checked back with me after I told her we were taking the summer off, in September; I know they want my business back, but it was nice knowing I was on their radar still, and easy to get back on track. I don't care if they think my house is a pigsty -- I think it's a pigsty, and that's why they're there, to clean it up! If it weren't a pigsty, I wouldn't be paying them to come!! I have 4 very active kids and a fulltime job and no time left at the end of the day to clean my house. I am grateful for their services, and I try to at least pick up all the clutter before they come. If one of the kids' rooms isn't presentable enough for them to clean, I leave the door closed so they know not to clean it. They do a very good job of cleaning. I do wish the house smelled cleaner, but everything looks good when I get home at the end of the day, and I am pleased. read more

TERRIBLE cleaning service. Complete waste of money. They "cleaned" kitchen for 3 hours ???? I don't know what the hell they were doing in there, NOTHING was cleaned. I could have cleaned better in 10 minutes than they did in 3 hours. They didn't do a damn thing. SCAMMERS read more

I wish I had read the reviews before booking with Maid Brigade. This company is a complete SCAM. We hired them to clean our condo after our renters moved out. Two women arrived and I asked them to assess the condition of the apartment. They agreed that the previously quoted 2.5 hrs would be adequate time to clean. When I returned, they had basically done NOTHING! They did not sweep, vacuum, or wash the floors. I asked them to clean the inside and outside of the cabinets and they were still filthy. When I called to complain, the manager, Yazmin, said they spent a lot of time taking away trash. This is complete fabrication because the condo was completely empty!!!! She also said they spent much of their time cleaning the bathroom. The bathroom had toe nail clippings all over the floor and the tub was still dirty! I could go on and on . . . . I'll be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I've never dealt with such an unethical company before. read more

Fraudulent business. Supposedly worked for 2 hours cleaning my house. The only way I knew that they were in the house is by the cheap plastic liners they use for garbage cans. Will be asking for a refund and will never use their services again. Can find better use of $150. read more

After this review, they showed a genuine interest to make things right and credited the amount that was overcharged back. Even if we will not continue with the service, I still wanted to provide an update to let everyone know. Good to see there still are people out there who care about customer complaints. read more
