My friend and I stopped by Maia for a quick breakfast before checking out of the hotel. While the prices are a bit on the higher side, the quality and freshness of the ingredients really stood out. My avocado toast was excellent ..simple, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. I did think $6 for a side of egg and $20 for a fruit bowl was a little steep, but everything tasted incredibly fresh and well made. We were seated and a server immediately arrived with fresh orange juice (which was delicious) and coffee. We got the Continental breakfast ($25 for an adult, $14 for a child) which includes cheeses, smoked salmon, pastries, breads, bagels, yogurt, and cereal. There are probably some things I am leaving out. Basically, you get everything they have except warm foods like meats and eggs. Service was great, ambiance was great, food was great. There was an outdoor portion as well. We wanted to get our meal in before we left Marco Island, as it closed for breakfast at 11:30am. I deferred on the buffet as I am not fond of buffet style. I wanted breakfast food, so I ordered egg whites, a side of turkey sausage & a large fruit platter. I loved the assortment of fruits: berries, kiwi, pineapple. Our waitress Dolly was so kind!! Located at the JW Marriott, this establishment has one of the better meals to offer. Specifically, the breakfast buffet (which may be an upgrade, but worth it). I really enjoyed the variety of hot and cold options they offered. Many items are what you expect. But, one interesting item was a whole roasted ham which was carved every day. SO good! I really enjoyed it! And, if you are looking for something more customized, there is a station where the staff will prepare omelettes, pancakes, French toast, and waffles to your unique specifications. They even offered gluten free options for all of the above (which my wife loved). Of course, service was fantastic, as expected. So, as you can imagine, we were frequent customers! read more

This restaurant is located on the lower level of the Marriott Hotel. This was outstanding! We totally enjoyed the breakfast buffet which included the hot items- fresh eggs made your way. There was smoked salmon, bacon and Canadian bacon and sausage- fresh fruit, charcuterie items - cheese, smoked meats, sliced ham on a cutting board, cereals as well as assorted pastries. The blueberry crumble muffin was to die for. However the main reason Maia was exceptional was because of their exceptional employee- Nell. She is a true asset to the team. I've never seen someone as helpful and considerate not only to us because of my husband's handicap but to all the patrons in the venue. And she is not a relative. This was our first time meeting her. The restaurant was overflowing with a long line so they asked us if we would like to sit in the restaurant next-door, which was a great idea and use of space if you ask me. The set up was amazing. They had the usual buffet items and a large selection and hot food choices. I'm not big on breakfast therefore I decided to go with the avocado toast, (which was massive). The actual Maia restaurant was really pretty and more casual than the steak restaurant next door. Overall, a great option for breakfast. Mimosas were amazing! read more

I do not recommend the buffet. For the hotel standard this buffet is below average. I've stayed in Westin's which the breakfast selection was 10x of this one. Beautiful restaurant with gorgeous indoor and outdoor seating. We came every morning during our vacation at the Marriott in Marco Island, FL. The staff was always friendly and attentive. No doubt they have superb staffing. However, I am not convinced that it's worth to spend $35++ for a standard hotel breakfast. Yes they have a nice selection of pastries, omelette and waffle/pancake station, eggs and bacon, fruits and cup cereals and more. But it's all basic. Nothing special than "the hotel's breakfast". Also the menus are the same everyday! It definitely needs some creativity to switch around their menus. Sitting outside, while it's beautiful view. there are so many mosquitoes, flies and birds. And they emptied cutomers' left over water from table to the bushes on the site instead of bringing it all back to the kitchen. Yes it's just water but it still doesn't look sanitary. So sure, if you want convenience and have $35++ to spend on standard breakfast, you can try this restaurant. read more

What a wonderful way to start the morning. We sat outside looking at the ocean. Birds soared in the bluest of skies, a warm breeze moved the palm trees . Nelly was our server and told us about the dining options. Full breakfast buffet is $35, continental buffet is $25. Both options come with coffee and juice. Ala carte menu is also available. The buffet area is inviting and very well maintained. We thought the was plenty to choose from the continental portion. The chai pudding is so good that I went back for a second one. Fresh fruits, assorted breads, bagels, muffins also in gluten free options. Cheese, ham, cereal, yogurt and so much more! An omelette station, is in the full buffet. Nelly was fantastic and courteous. My delicious coffee was replenished regularly. The fresh juice was perfect. This is a very relaxing environment. read more

Great spot for breakfast and brunch. I kept reading about the bloody mary bar and I love a good bloody mary bar set up so I was ready to check out this place. The restaurant itself is clean, modern and the buffet is a nice set up. The bloody mary bar, however, was somewhat disappointing. Maybe other people's photos looked better than what I actually got that day and then again, maybe we got there for a late breakfast so it didn't look as appealing. Ha. Needless to say, I passed. We opted to sit on the patio since it was a beautiful day. Our server was super sweet. The kids got the breakfast buffet option for $12 vs the a la carte breakfast dish for $10. Go with the buffet, it just makes more sense and the kids have way more options including a fresh omelette making station and pancakes/waffles station. I got the lobster eggs benedict because 1) LOBSTER and 2) they had me at eggs benedict. This was divine and it came with more lobster than I imagined. It was a hefty $26 for the dish but my husband and I shared the dish since we weren't that hungry and just needed COFFEEEEEE! The hollandaise sauce came on the side which is nice because it allows you to control how much sauce you can put on your dish. Anyway, the lobster eggs benedict was pretty bomb! Get it. This is the resort's main breakfast spot - unless you only want baked goods and coffee . The main attraction is the buffet - and it's not the Waldorf Astoria, so you get basic fare at a reasonable cost for the family. You can also go a la carte which gets pricey but allows for more flexibility. My eggs and chicken sausage were just fine and the decaf coffee surprisingly good. However it was approximately $80 for two breakfast buffets. I only ate a biscuit, a scoop of scrambled eggs, and half a waffle. The scrambled eggs were very runny. I only got half a waffle because I requested a waffle, waited while it cooked, then the worker asked me if "just half would be ok?" I stayed at the JW Marriot this past week with my kiddos and the staff and service at this restaurant was impeccable. The servers were kid friendly and didn't mind my daughters loud voice. Sometimes it's just hard with kids and I felt very comfortable eating here with them. The server brought our food out quickly and was wearing a mask at all times. Food was delicious! I visited this restaurant for the breakfast offered while staying on the resort. It was quite busy in the morning, it appeared there was quite the line. At the time I visited, the resort was not open to the public, but I do believe that has since changed. We only ate here once for breakfast during our stay. For breakfast, they offer an extensive buffet of options from pastries to cooked options such as omelets and pancakes. In addition to the buffet, you can order from a selective menu of more prepared entrees. All around a good dining experience for breakfast while staying in Marco Island. Price point for the buffet is on the higher side (closer to the $20-$40 per person range). I can't recall the exact price when we visited. read more

I have been coming to this restaurant for years with my family while staying at the JW Marriott. Our server Dolly is the best. She is so very attentive to my family and we have gotten to know her over the years. She treats us like family, which makes our experience so much better. The service is great by all. A quaint restaurant with French decor, the ambiance was lovely. Honestly I'm not sure what else they offer but during our week long stay, we had their breakfast buffet daily. A pot of coffee and orange juice are included. A wide selection of delicious food made of fresh ingredients. I have a couple of things that I didn't like: there were many days where the meats were only bacon and sausage. For someone that doesn't eat bacon this means I'm stuck meatless. There were a couple of days where they had apple chicken sausage- it was delicious! There is an obligatory omelette station which is so good, as well as waffles, French toast and pancakes (go for the French toast). They had delicious fruit, smoked salmon, and a wide array of pastries. If you're staying at the JW, it's BOGO. With tip and gratuity it's about $45 for 2 people, which is a great deal. For the buffet they charge you an automatic 18% on your bill, which is really ridiculous because it's a buffet the server just provide with coffee and oj. I think the fee should drop down to less than 10%. On a positive note the food is amazing. read more

No distance between tables. This is the second restaurant we've visited on this property & the tables are still very close to each other. We were sitting back to back with other guests. Not very sensitive to this pandemic. The staff were wearing masks & were very pleasant & accommodating. I give this rating just for the management to move tables farther away from each other. It's really pretty. That's about as far as it goes. I had the one gluten-free option for breakfast and my husband had the buffet. Both were overpriced and relatively flavorless. Wow! This is by far the best buffet breakfast we've ever had! Ingredients are from local farms. Delicious eggs, omelets, pancakes and frenchtoast. They have pastries and even a Bloody Mary bar :) Everything cooked perfectly and fresh! Nothing frozen. So much to choose from. Definitely worth the money. The servers were all excellent as well. I've had breakfast twice at Maia, and both times it was fabulous. The ladies behind the make-to-order counter at the back of the restaurant in the morning - well, they're the best! They knock themselves out to make whatever you want, and do it your way. If they have the ingredients- and they do have just about everything you could possibly want for breakfast - you'll get breakfast made perfectly. This is just the way you want to wake up. Maia even has good coffee. And a serve-yourself island for expected breakfast items to pick up while you're waiting for your omelette or whatever you've special ordered. The orange juice at Maia is the taste of just-squeezed; exactly what you want in this touristy spot in paradise. Then step out the door to the gorgeous piazza with a beautiful fountain with the pool beyond. And of course the beach is steps away. Maia is a great breakfast spot. I'll be trying it for lunch soon.
