We came here for a quick drink and appetizers. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside on the water front. Service was pretty quick for being busy. For drinks i got the tsunami and the tropical island punch. The tsunami tasted right like you were on vacation! The perfect tropical drink and they were pretty big portions. For appetizers we got the calamari and chicken nachos. The calamari was fresh and crispy. You could tell they were hand breaded and not frozen. The nachos were okay. There was hardly any cheese on them and the chips seemed over cooked. We would not order these again if we came back. Overall this place was pretty average. I would come back here for drinks and maybe try some entrees . The calamari was really good but not so much the nachos. They have a wide variety of food on their menu too from sushi to pasta so lots of options to choose from. read more

We decided to give Mango's Dockside Bistro again after several years since our last visit. Much to our surprise they were offering 50 percent off entree and pasta dishes along with a 25 percent discount on cocktails during happy hour. We enjoyed two cocktails, the bread service and the hush puppy appetizer while we awaited our meals which arrived very timely despite the busy crowd. We enjoyed our entrees of broiled seafood and stuffed shrimp very much. The vegetables and sides of mashed potatoes and black beans and rice complimented our dishes perfectly. We greatly enjoyed our evening at this brightly decorated and vibrant marina side bistro and will add it to our must try restaurants each year as we return to Marco Island. read more

I'm not sure there are any limes left on Marco Island after I ate the spicy ceviche bowl last night. I've had less "lime-y" key lime pie. Close 2nd was the jalapeño. So much jalapeño. The actual mix of seafood and remainder of the bowl was good, I think. It all tasted like lime torture. read more

We had Luke for our server and I generally have high expectations. Tonight they we meet at every level with Luke as our server. Overall it's an okay experience, you spend a lot of money, and you forget about it in a few days. I had the mahi mahi which was supposed to be encrusted in macadamia nuts but I would be shocked if a single nut touched that fish. The vegetables, glaze, and coconut rice were great. Absolutely lovely for anytime of day with good weather! The bistro really is on the dockside and has a great view for all of their outdoor seating. We were quickly seated upon arrival and offered menus, drinks, etc. We were both looking for something refreshing and not necessarily sushi. We ordered the ahi poke bowl and the ahi burger with gluten-free bread (I have a gluten sensitivity to bread specifically) and fries (did have gluten). We absolutely loved the ahi bowl and burger! For the burger, the ahi was cooked medium rare, and it was perfect. The fries were so yummy too! So disappointing. I called and made a reservation over 6 weeks ago for my husband's 68th birthday for my family of 10 "outside." When we showed up, we were told that we were being seated inside due to the fact that we requested it. That is simply not true as I "called" in the reservation for outside. Over the past 13 yrs we have been dining here, we have never requested to be inside. We dine here at least 10x in-season. We were so disappointed in how management treated us. They were argumentative. They were insistent that the error fell on us. Why do that to a customer? How about, I am sorry an error occurred, let's see what we can do. It was obvious that they clearly did not care. We decided to wait for a table outside, as it was for a birthday celebration. We went to C.J's and ordered our grandchildren (3 and 5 yr old) food, as they were hungry. We were called to our table at 7:15 pm, an hour and 15 min after our initial request. We ordered our food. My husband's food, (his birthday) his fish was cold and sent back. The second meal they made for him was over-cooked. His entree was then taken off the bill. The bill was 278 (not including the tip!) Management never came over to the table. This restaurant has always been our steady eddy as I have Celiac Disease/ nut allergy and they are accommodating with allergies, but I have to tell you that we will probably not come back. read more

Mangos Dockside is one of our favorite spots in Marco Island. With accessible free parking, seating along the waterside or inside, the service and food selections have exceeded my expectations both times! The inside seating gives a beach vibe with a busy environment while the outdoor seating seems to be more intimate. The Mango Tropical Sushi Roll is to die for! Topped with fresh mango and stuffed with shrimp tempura, avocado, tempura flakes and sweet soy sauce, it is 8 pieces and a perfect appetizer to share. The Blackened Shrimp Quinoa Power Bowl is also my favorite and my entree of choice. It is filling and flavorful. The jumbo stuffed shrimp was stuffed with blue crab in hollandaise sauce and served with vegetables, choice of coconut rice and / or fingerling potatoes. There are 5 large stuffed shrimp with this entree. All meals are served with fresh rolls and homemade mango butter. I recommend a reservation but it isn't required! read more

Restaurant sits on the edge of the marina so most tables have a view point of the water and boats, especially if you sit outside. There's a large aquarium that separates the seating area from the bar area that is pretty neat. I order a chicken bacon pesto panini that was decent, but I thought the fries were even better. I also had a strawberry and mango daiquiri with light rum and a floater. The drink hit the spot with it being so hot. My wife had the Top of the World sushi roll which she found yummy. She had the Marco Sunset cocktail along with it, which she said was good, but sweet. All in all, it was good, but forgetful. The service was not bad, but it wasn't over the top either, just average. The Happy Hour prices seem pretty good which may be the way to go in the future. read more

It was a Thursday night at 5:30 and we had to valet park because even the grass was full! We were afraid the wait would be hours and we're very happy when they said it was 1/2 hour wait. We decided to wait at the empty bar and have a drink. The only disappointing part of the night was the bartender didn't want to wait on us! He said he was working the service counter not the customers side! What???? He finally grumble and came over, but wouldn't even recommend a drink when we ask. We were seated just a little past our 30 minute wait and the entire experience changed. The service was every thing you want. Kristie was our server and she was great! She was friendly, was patient while we ordered drinks and an appetizer. She was back with our drinks in minutes and waited patiently while we finalized our dinner choices. The view is spectacular and the weather was perfect for outdoor dining! Our food was delivered in what seemed like minutes and Kristie was right there to make sure we were all happy. I was told that the hamburger was the best one she had in years! Perfectly cooked with a soft bun and just the right amount of extra stuff. The manager should be congratulated for training such a great staff, except for the bartender- every staff member we came in contact with was outstanding, efficient , friendly and appeared to like their jobs and were glad we were there!! Popped in for happy hour and lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Mango's has a Summer Happy Hour menu effective 7 days a week from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. 25% off all alcoholic drinks. And some happy hour food items at special prices when seated at the bar. We ordered a mango mojito and beers. The mojito was heavy on the mango puree and weak on the rum. Beers were nice and cold. Entrees ordered were the happy hour tuna tacos (3) for $12, the Quinoa bowl for $14, and the club sandwich with fries for $16. Only disappointment were the tacos which were small and very light on tuna; heavy on the fillers. The quinoa bowl was balanced well with its ingredients, and the club sandwich was probably the best buy for the quantity of food. The sandwich was full of ham and turkey meat and a nice serving of fries. Even seated at the bar, we had a nice view of the marina dock and water. Our server got the job done, but aside from taking orders and asking if we wanted another drink, he was not interactive with his customers. When we received the bill, the 25% had not been applied to all of our alcoholic drinks, so we had to have it adjusted before paying. Pay close attention to your receipt and check it closely before you hand over your credit card. Overall, Mango's was "ok." Food and Service were adequate, but nothing over the top to set it apart from any other dining spots in Marco Island. It was also a little warm in the dining areas. read more
