We showed her a picture of the haircut we wanted, and she replicated it perfectly. The store itself also doubles as a pet mart, with plenty of natural options in addition to the standard selection of items, which was a nice bonus. The only downside was that the grooming ended up taking about 4 hours instead of the 2 hours we were initially quoted -- though I understand she wanted to take the proper time with him. Still, overall a solid grooming experience, and I'd definitely bring my dog back.

This shop is wonderfully patient with him, and every time I've been there, the place has at least 1 or 2 other poodles (or mixes) happily in the pen. That should speak to their service. Christian usually takes care of my buddy. He is incredibly polite and he also takes the time to hear my concerns before and after grooming. I feel like he's immensely attentive -- as he takes notes on what I liked or didn't like about the cut; he notices when I'm early, stressed, etc; and he offers help for tackling various issues (matting, dry skin, etc). He is great! My buddy leaves here with a cute bandana or bow tie, and even though my dog hates being groomed, he doesn't seem stressed when we pull up.

The groomer, Stacy, was SO INCREDIBLE!! I have been driving an hour to keep the same groomer over the past year - I trusted them and they were very kind and gentle with my rescue. I'm not sure who is more anxious to drop off their rescue dog at the groomers.... the dog or myself. Definitely me! They made me feel so comfortable. The groomer came out front to meet us, we sat in the floor to meet and greet and discuss what I was needing. Stacy was so kind and so patient, so loving to my dog! The way she looked at her, spoke to her and told her she loved her... you can tell she is really great with the dogs she works with. When checking out, the staff came to the front of the counter to kneel down and give my dog even more love and comfort. I have been in tears of happiness finding a place that cares for my dog as much as I do. I couldn't be more thankful for Stacy and Urban Dog! Thank you for such amazing care of myself and my dog!

It's a neat little cozy niche of a store, with several smaller business options for food and toys. The ladies there were warm to us, but much warmer to those that brought in dogs. Can't blame them, that's the top spenders right there. A real trouble is the prices overall, they're not too expensive, but those little mark-ups make it harder to buy more during a visit. That nearby brewery helps wash that guilt down, though.

I never had trouble with my Petco groomer back in California, but after one horrendous session in Broomfield, I had to search for a better option. After seeing Leslie's name pop up a lot, I made an appointment. Leslie does book up a couple weeks in advance but she is worth the wait. Very communicative to make sure you're getting exactly what you want when you drop off, plus she's super loving, quick, efficient, and always goes above and beyond. My pup Bacon comes out happy, handsome and smelling great. (There must be a TON of dogs in Broomfield because all the groomers in the area seem to book up well in advance). If you don't get a hold of them on the phone and leave a message, they actually call back quickly! You get text reminders which is great. Prices are super reasonable for bath + haircut, no more expensive than the big chains, plus you get more TLC here. They offer some add-ons (gland expression, etc) for a little extra when needed, but don't force them on you. You just get a good vibe from the entire crew whenever you walk through the doors. Would recommend Leslie 100x over but if she's too booked up I am sure you are in good hands with the rest of the team. They also have a loyalty program so make sure you get a punch card, they forgot to give me one on my first grooming but honored it on the second.

Noticed after we got home the pink area on one paw. Closer observation discovered two areas on that paw each with slight matting I would presume from the no stop product that was used to stop bleeding. Two other paws had been injured the same. Also, the coat was cut uneven and the face barely trimmed. So sorry and sad that I put my sweet pup through this.

I wish I could give zero stars…read more We have been bringing our dog to Carissa for grooming for a while. Early on, after one visit our dog developed an ear infection from water getting into his ear. I paid the vet bill and chose not to make a big deal out of it because things happen. We continued going and things seemed mostly fine until today. On Monday they called asking if I could move our Friday appointment to Tuesday. I agreed and brought my dog in at the time they requested, 2:00 PM. When we dropped him off, we asked when they closed and were told 5:00 PM and that he would be ready around 4:45. They normally call when he is ready. Around 4:50 I still had not received a call so I phoned to check. The woman who answered said she would check and came back saying he was ready. We arrived at 4:55. After waiting for a couple ahead of us to pay, we paid and tipped as we always do. Usually they bring him right out, but this time they did not. I walked toward the back desk thinking he would be coming out any second. That's when I heard someone yelling aggressively and cursing at my dog. I looked behind the door to confirm it was Carissa and asked, "Excuse me, are you talking to my dog that way?" She immediately denied it. Another girl was in the room and when I asked, she said "it wasn't me," meaning she wasn't the one speaking to him that way. What made this even worse was that my dog was still on the grooming table being cut, meaning he was not actually ready when they told me he was. It was already close to closing time. She immediately changed her tone and said he was doing great, then rushed him off the table covered in hair. His nails were not finished and the overall grooming job was terrible. But the unfinished groom is not even the main issue. The way my dog was being spoken to and handled is completely unacceptable. No animal should ever be yelled at or cursed at like that. If this is how pets are treated when owners are not watching, people deserve to know. I will never bring my dog back here. If you care about how your pet is treated, I strongly suggest finding another groomer.
