Seriously just hire them When doing our initial wedding planner search, we were trying to find the team that best understood our vision, budget, and meshed with us the best. When we told Amy about our vision to have a baseball themed wedding, with a separate opening day ceremony the evening before, her response was, "hell yea!" and then she proceeded to tell us about her family's love of baseball and additional rental items her team could provide to help us achieve this vision. Her prices were significantly more affordable than other local planners we interviewed. It was important to us that we make our event kid-friendly, and she had lots of tips, tricks, and solutions on how we could do that without breaking the bank. Amy and her team helped us search for venues, play around with decoration themes, booked dress appointments for us, shared vendor contacts, built the cross and arch displayed at the ceremony, and coordinated with everyone who would be a part of our wedding so we had less of that burden. I wouldn't say that my now husband and I were the "bridezilla-couple-from-hell" type but boy did we take forever to respond to a message and only to then reply back with 50 more questions. Amy and her team rolled with us and learned how to keep us on track with deadlines. If we had listened earlier in the process, we could have saved some time in booking our dream venue and florists - seriously, our venue was everything we wanted it to be, and our florist was the kindest woman alive - both of these came from Amy's preferred vendor list. As a SoCal native, working with her felt like I was talking to my cousins or my school best friend - the only thing missing was tacos and beers (though champagne did arrive a couple times at meetings :P ). They were there for us from the moment that we started working with them, even though we only had the day-of-coordinator package (as I'm very type A and wanted to coordinate as much as I could). Dez and her team had regular checkpoints to make sure we were on track and provide guidance on anything we should work on prior to our next meeting. After life took over and I got busy, especially closer to the wedding date, Dez absolutely took over and I could not be more grateful. Everything that we needed, she was only a quick email or text away. Even when I failed to organize all the decor for the wedding, Dez, Jenn, and Holly spent time organizing everything, asking questions, and making sure that everything was perfect.
