On top of that, there was a diagnostic fee of $30-$50, plus repair costs starting at $500 and up. At that point, it felt more like a cash grab than a genuine repair service. Frustrated, I looked elsewhere and found a tech on Craigslist who charged a straightforward $50 per hour. He came to my place, diagnosed the issue, and identified the necessary part. Since he was a mobile tech and I caught him at the end of his shift, he had to order it. The part arrived two days later, and while I was able to install it myself, he was readily available to help if needed. In the end, I saved both time and money by going with a more transparent and reliable option. Safe to say, I won't be returning to this shop. I've included photos of the error messages I got when my cpu messed up. Not in correct order but the black screen was the final message prompting me to go into the repair shop.
