Was a ,little scared about going massage here. But the negative reviews are wrong. The positive ones are on the Money. I called the easy set up an appointment. There English is ok, but I was not looking for conversation. I had an appointment with Sofia or Sofie, nice lady. Her massage was very good. She seemed to be able to feel where I needed soothing. Very good neck and shoulder massage. Great work on my back as well. I have had massages for years, but Sofie was one of the best I have ever had. Sofie is a gem, I will start coming here every week. Place is very clean, I was very surprised at the extreme cleaning measures I saw them taking. Hand sanitizer everywhere, temperature taking, they change out all linens in the room, and the had an electrostatic disinfection machine that they explained is used in between customers. I saw them cleaning the room and asked about it. The showed me the steps they take and was surprised how knowledgeable they were. Made feel safe. read more

Wow, just got a great massage from SOFIA (Sofie) New Massues here. She was very strong and cured every ache. Very methodical and adjusted strength higher or lower as needed. She is able to read you body and get rid of knots. Her cranial massage fix my headache and neck ache She is my new go too Massues. Hands down. I wish I could give zero stars! Where do I start? I received a gift certificate for xmas and finally used it. They were able to squeeze me in the same day I called. Everything about this place is shady...there are people being massaged on a table in the front near the reception desk (whaaaat?!), they set an egg timer which ticks (sooo distracting when you're trying to relax), the massage was TOTALLY inappropriate...I was so uncomfortable I didn't even let the woman finish. The woman sat on my butt and started what felt like grinding, she kept trying to move my panties lower...disgusted is NOT the word. I've had a massage before, this was not a massage, I felt groped and dirty. They asked me for a tip on my way out. Are you serious? I just got home from my 2nd massage here with Tina. I had to come home and write a review and was so surprised to see all these negative reviews on here. I don't need the fancy place, I just want a great massage. I have been searching for a great masseuse for quite some time and I saw a groupon deal for Magic Touch and thought I'd give it a shot. I've tried several other Asian places in the area and just wasn't satisfied with the pushiness or the massage itself. Well, let me tell you, I found Tina and Magic Touch and she is phenomenal. Best massage EVER. Now I like it hard and she delivers. I don't even have to tell her what bothers me, she just hits it all. She truly is amazing. I hope she doesn't leave anytime soon because I FINALLY found my girl. Yes, they do massage the butt, but man, I sit all day at work and it feels great and is part of the massage. If you don't want that, just say so. I'm so happy to have found her. Yes, the communication could be better but I'll forego that to have a GREAT massage any day. Just wonderful. This place is nothing like the reviews. My husband and I went here on our Anniversary for a couples massage. As soon as we arrived we were greeted. We were escorted to a room to prepare for our massage. Staff was friendly. They explained everything that they would be doing. They even asked how much pressure we wanted used. The room and music was soothing. They allowed us to relax. They didn't talk a lot, or ask a ton of questions. The hot stone massage is amazing. We will definitely be back. read more

We had a 10:30 appointment set and we walked in a minute after. The woman who greeted us seemed pleasant and once I told her we had an appointment at 10:30 and had a groupon, she seemed frazzled. She tried explaining that groupon appointments should be at 9:15 (what?), apologized, and asked if we could reschedule. "Well, since our appointment is already set, why does it matter?" I asked. She apologized again, saying her English isn't too good. We continued the conversation in Chinese where she apologized profusely. After a lot of options and giving us a free hot stone addition, we rescheduled for 5. We end up being nearly 15 minutes late and a different woman greets us. She asks about the free hot stone note (written in Chinese) and I briefly explain our debacle this morning. She calls over another lady to ask if she wrote it and, after figuring out the mistake, reprimanded her for seeing unscheduled customers over scheduled ones. (This was all in Chinese - these ladies thought I spoke English at this point.) We were led into a dimly lit room and then the lady stepped out. We undressed to our undergarments and laid under the sheer sheets face down. Two ladies came in after knocking, placed towels or blankets over the sheets and began massaging through the layers. The woman massaging me actually got on the bed on her knees, pushing her full weight on either side of my body. She then switched sides and continued. Then... It gets weird. She pulls down the sheet from my back and asks me to undo my bra. Sure. Then she pulls down my panties to reveal half of my butt! Ok... I'm comfortable with my body I guess. I guess this would let her work on my lower back. After some odd full-back lotion application (can't even call it massaging, really), she massaged my butt! She even pulled down my panties further! WELL. All in all, she did get a few knots out pretty well but I can't say it was relaxing... We didn't even take them up on the free hot stone offer. We tipped pretty well without being asked to. It was ok - just not too fond of the confusion both times and the cultural differences. (I'll try calling it that...) I don't think I'll be going back. read more

I am a groupon fanatic and jumped on the groupon for a massage here. That being said i wasnt expecting the best just average. However my experience was below average. This massage was very unprofessional in technique. The ambience is uncomfortable. They even had the nerve to tell me i HAD to tip 25% after it was over. I hate being told how much to tip and set a couple bucks down for tip and left. All i heard was yelling in an asian language (korean? Chinese? Japanese? I bought a one hour couples massage through groupon. It was advertised as "Couples massages that takes place in a candlelit couples room to a soundtrack of romantic tunes" THIS COULD NOT BE FURTHER FROM WHAT WE EXPERIENCED! Magic Touch is a store front and the massages are done in a cubical- with removable screen dividers! The two women that did our massages had NO idea what they were doing! The paper sheet they gave us to cover ourselves were useless! They talked and giggled through our entire massage, at one point I heard someone washing dishes?! It was not relaxing at all! We were barely dressed when two other women came in to open up the store front curtains. As we were gathering our stuff the woman asked for a TIP! Will NEVER go back- VERY disappointed! To sum it all up, this was one of the worst experiences ever! Firstly, I found this massage palor on Groupon. This massage parlor seemed rather reasonable and the reviews made the place seem like ideal. Therefore, I bought the Groupon and made an appointment. I told them I had a Groupon for a couples massage to which they confirmed was fine and proceeded to ask if we would like to go to the Somerville or Skillman location. We said we would like the Somerville one since it was closer. They were able to schedule us for an appointment the following day with no issues or hassle. Once inside the place, we were quickly greeted and immediately asked for our Groupon. I showed the employee the Groupon and see had redeemed it on my phone. She then took a picture of the Groupon on her phone and then sent us back to a small room where there were two, older looking beds were laid. We were told to get undressed and then they would come back and begin. The room itself was really tiny and very dimly lit, however it did not cover up the rather old and battered looking beds that we were told to lay on. In addition, the place where we were supposed to rest our faces were essentially holes cut into the beds with towels placed around it for "comfort". We both undressed to our underwear and then the two massage therapists came in and put towels over us. Then the massage began. In general the massage wasn't too bad, but there was a lot of movement and distractions throughout it that caused it to be rather annoying and uncomfortable. During the middle of the massage as well, one of the therapists walked out for a few seconds and came back with the owner of the business on the phone asking to speak with me. I answered the owner's call in the middle of the room where we were just being massaged and had her tell me in broken English that Groupons are not accepted at the Somerville location, but only at the Princeton location. She said that should would give me the 90 minute massage though, but next time it needs to be in Princeton. I found this to be extremely bizarre, but let it go since the owner had accepted the Groupon (to which she already agreed to when I called to make an appointment) and I was in the middle of the massage. The rest of the massage was average, but I was still rather annoyed with how many bizarre distractions and issues we had during just one hour in this massage pallor. Once the massage was up (which was indicated by an extremely loud timer the massage therapists put on as soon as they started) the therapists left and let us get dressed. Once dressed, we began to leave and gave our tips to both our therapists and said our goodbyes. We were about to exit, when the employee stops me and asks me to pay the $90 I owed. I looked at her dumbfounded and before I could even make a comment, she said that that is what I agreed to with her boss (the owner) on the phone. I told the therapist that I did not agree to that, but that her boss told me that she would honor the Groupon even though she wanted me to go to the Princeton location. The therapist then said that that was not what her boss had said and that her boss would like me to pay the $90 I owe and then give be back the $90 for a massage at the Princeton location. I was completely caught off guard and refused to pay the $90 for several reasons. One, when I called to make an appointment the owner of this massage pallor answered. I told her I had a Groupon for a couples massage and then SHE asked which location I would like to go to, to which I said Somerville. Two, as soon as I walked in the employee/therapist asked if I had a Groupon and then asked for my phone to immediately redeem it. So now my order was being processed and she would receive payment no matter what. Three, when I was rudely disrupted from my massage by the owner, it sounded as though she was accepting the Groupon, but the next next time I used a Groupon for a Magic Touch Massage it had to be in Princeton. (I cannot be 100% sure of what she said due to her poor English). I again refused to pay, because I had already paid and reminded the employee that she had redeemed my Groupon, which meant her boss would be receiving my money. She then said she was not sure what to do, so we would call her boss. She then called her boss and spoke to her in their native language and then handed the phone to me. The owner then made it very clear that she wanted me to pay the $90 for the massage I received today and she would "reimburse" me with a free couples massage at their Princeton location. I told her that I would not pay, because I already paid and I would have no confirmation or receipt that would verify that I would be awarded a "free" massage at their Princeton location. I've had 4 massages and can't believe the negative reviews I just saw! This place gives a true Asian massage. For those of you not familiar its where they climb on the table and use there body weight to work out the knots and tension out of your muscles. They will kneel next to you the table and lean over to get the right amount of pressure to work that muscle group with either their hands, palms or elbows. This is not for the weak at heart or modest. Amy does a GREAT job of relieving stressful knots and she works miracles with the hot stones!! My favorite part is in the end when they stretch me out and massage my face and scalp. I've had (to many to count) massages and this by far is the most therapeutic. There's a little language barrier but Amy takes out her translator and we communicate just fine. They always provide water bottles when you leave and this last visit I received some tea samples! read more

Awful. We went to their Skillman location. It was cold inside and super plain. The massage therapist kept leaving during our 1 hour couples massage and people kept walking in and out of our room for the whole hour. The experience we had there was more stressful than relaxing. Not to mention they demanded a tip after we over paid for the place to begin with. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Unless you're looking for a happy ending, then maybe this is your place. read more
