After much searching and debating back and forth the style of artist that I am looking for, I chose Jing and was definitely not let down at all! Her level of detail work is just amazing and the tattoo that I was interested in getting relied heavily on being able to draw straight and clean lines. She was absolutely fantastic- I truly appreciated her perfectionism and she made sure that everything was perfect before even picking up her needle. She did a thorough job and I loved how everything came out. Definitely felt like I made the right choice to come here for Jing to do my first tattoo! Prior to leaving, the guy in the front made sure to go over the instructions on how to take care of the tattoo- how long to keep the tegaderm tape on, what to do if it starts to peel off earlier and any other general maintenance I needed to know since this was my first time! If you're looking to get a very detailed tattoo done or you want to get your first tattoo done 'perfectly'- highly recommend coming to Jing! :)

I gave 7 Train tattoo 1 star because of my experience and the lack of care the artist put into my…read morepiece. I went to this location with a friend and because of doing research and seeing that they do great work and have won awards. Looking back in hind sight, most of the work done on their Instagram was from the owner Ricky (he is the best artist at the shop it seems). I would not recommend people of color with brown skin tones to come here . My artist was Lan and I realize now that he is good with black and grey pieces, but not colored pieces, especially for brown POC. I also would not recommend Lan for pieces that are customized and need an artist's input. He is good with pieces that are exactly as it is. He is not good when it comes to working with the customer to enhance a piece. I got my tattoo done in early May of 2019. I wanted a customized piece of the national bird and flowers of my home country. I specifically requested for the tattoo to be on my stomach to cover up a birthmark and scar. However it didn't completely cover my scar so he added a blue background. I paid $450 for my piece and also tipped so it came up to $520. When my tattoo was healing I noticed that parts of it spread through the skin. After a few months, I reached out to him for my free touch up. The session was 20 minutes, he added black lining into the piece and tried to cover up the smudging with ink that he thought would match my skin tone. I tipped him $50 just for his time and because I believe it's important to tip a service. However a few months later again, I had issues with my piece because the cover up he did was darker than my skin tone. I reached out to him about it and he said to comeback and he'll try again to match my skin. I told him I would rather him cover it up with butterflies. In December I went in for him to fix the issue, and during this day I felt super uncomfortable. The other times I came to the place, I was with someone and also there were not many men there. Today there were four guys there, and ever time I got up to look at my piece, all of them kept looking at me and my stomach and so I felt uncomfortable. Also, Lan already chose the design for the butterfly and everything without even discussing it with me. I didn't want to make a big fuss because I appreciated him offering to do it for free, but looking back, I should have spoken up for myself. He chose butterflies that were not detailed and just colored. I had to ask him to put in black lining. I felt super uncomfortable because I was surrounded by men and also because I didn't feel like being the annoying customer to an artist. But later that night I realized that he only put antennas on one of the three butterflies. I felt like the cover up was half-assed and made my tattoo look worse. I reached out to him on Instagram and he said he would add the attenas and only charge me tip. At first I said okay, but he keeps making mistakes, and he should not force a customer to pay tip for a mistake he has to fix. When I told him why I didn't say much about my dissatisfaction at the shop and wanted a better resolution, he left me on "seen." I waited some time for my tattoo to heal and for him to respond, but he has not. Therefore, I am writing this bad review. Screen shots of our Instagram convo are attached. I will be going to another location to get my piece fixed. I will not ever return here again because of the mistakes, and how Lan handled the situation.

I didn't get the guys name but he seemed pretty young but his work was a 10/10 as well as his service. Will ask for him again for my next piece. The pricing is decent as well, 150/hr plus 18-20% tip isn't bad if you're paying for what you're getting, much better than settling for some underground place that'll give me a fading tattoo, blurry and/or hepatitis. Ricky is also the most skilled artist I've ever seen, he was doing a woman's sleeve when I was coming in and it was detailed as hell, and it must have taken a while. I enjoyed my time at 7 train tattoo and my piece came out gorgeous. Will be back at the shop soon!

Single needle, fine line numbers that are perfectly weighted and give that minimalist look I was going for. Also to note, my last tattoo from Jhonny is about a year old and healed PERFECTLY. The fine lines are so sharp and very visible after healing. Booking was a breeze, Mark was super responsive especially when I needed to change the time of my appointment. Very welcoming and friendly when I arrived which is always a plus. Jhonny was lovey as always and made the whole appointment comfortable and easy, he is also super easy to talk to especially for people like me, a grade A introvert. This is my second tattoo from Jhonny and I'll definitely be back for more. I could not recommend this place more, even the studio itself was a huge space and very open which is huge right now when everyone is distancing, it felt extremely safe. I've been tattooed at BangBang and this was legit the same quality for normal prices. I couldn't be happier to have found this spot, it's definitely my go-to spot from now on!

As soon as I walked in I was greeted (by my piercer), I explained I wanted to get my nose pierced. She said ok give me a second to clean and get everything ready. Lol.... she assured me it would only be a pinch and over before I knew it. She was right! I feel so silly now because I was really a nervous wreck. Once pierced she explained the aftercare procedures in detail. She was such a doll! Super sweet and very informative. I'll be back in a few months to swap out for a new nose ring.

I go when she told me, waited 2 hours, and then was seen. She didn't talk to me at all which wasn't preferred, as I continuously told her I was nervous and that it was my 1st time. Her energy wasn't very inviting at all, which made me a little sad because it's a woman owned business! She rushed the small tattoo I wanted, I was in immense pain during, and then she charged me $150. For the tiniest wrist tattoo. I'm not too upset about the price, but my experience was just not welcoming or happy or special whatsoever. I feel like she just squeezed me in because she needed the extra money. Idk it didn't feel personable. I expected a little more since they had such high reviews. Oh... and my tattoo didn't turn out the best either. When I went to a different shop to get other pieces done, they explained that she should've spaced out or removed some of the lines in my tattoo, because it would merge over time since it was so small. Guess what? They were 1000000% right, all the lines in the outline of my tattoo merged and it looks like it was filled in. So I have to go fix that or just deal with it. :) Not the best experience for me.
