I always get dipping powder manicures, and when the technician removed my previous manicure, she didn't use acetone. Instead, she used a fake nail to slide between my natural nail and the old product. I'm not sure if this is their usual method, but it was painful and uncomfortable. I specifically told her that I did not want tips or fake nails because I don't like them. However, after she cut two of my natural nails too short, she had to apply tips to those two nails. This could have been avoided if she had been more careful from the beginning. When she asked me what shape I wanted, I clearly requested almond-shaped nails. Unfortunately, the final shape did not look like almond nails at all. The design was also completely different from what I expected, and the overall result looked messy and poorly done. One of the nails with a tip was especially bad, with a noticeable uneven, bumpy surface that looked like a mountain instead of a smooth nail. I paid $67 for this service, and the quality was nowhere near what I expected for that price. I had also requested both a manicure and a pedicure, but somehow the pedicure seemed to have been forgotten. After my manicure was finished, the technician quickly moved on to another client's pedicure. Honestly, after seeing the quality of my manicure, I was relieved that they forgot about my pedicure. When the receptionist kindly asked if I liked my nails, I said yes, but that was my mistake. I was so frustrated and just wanted to leave as quickly as possible. I should have been honest about my experience. I do want to point out that the receptionist was very sweet, polite, and welcoming. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the technician's work. Only the second in my life but definitely not the last now that I have had a good one. I chose the deluxe version with hot stone massage. Yes, that was win. I walked in with no appointment as it was near the Marriott and the reviews on other sites were highly favorable. When I walked in, the smell of nail polish punches you in the face but you quickly adapt. Everyone immediately looked at me like I had just landed on the wrong planet! I was directed to check in and give up all my most personal info and then immediately ushered to a chair. The warm swirling water. Salt scrub. Foot and ankle massage. Delicate attention to my feet was amazing. I decided to go big and get some cool green polish. The finish touch was a hot wrap and then a hot stone massage in my feet and calves followed by multiple layers of oil and scented lotions. Wow. This was decadent!! Out the door I spent $80. My coworkers all chastised me for not inviting them. I thought I was going to get traded or shamed but no, they were mad to miss out. Great service. Seems like the price is reasonable for the services I chose. Took 90 minutes and I loved every second. Thanks ladies!
