Today I decided to see if I could get a last minute appointment to get my nails done and a pedicure. Lan and her team got me in quickly and did a fantastic job! Lan was abusive to me when I complained after I discovered the utensils were dirty - she raised her voice and insulted me in English before switching to Vietnamese to insult me some more. She clearly didn't realise I have Vietnamese relatives and speak the language also. Additionally I found out they are re-using paraffin when I went to the back to complain and saw them re-bagging it. Since I'm here on vacation I decided to treat myself to a pedicure. Boy am I glad that I chose Bliss Nails - I seriously had one of the best pedicures I've ever had here. I live in the Washington DC area and have had pedicure at many different places, including day spas. The pedicure from Bliss was better than anything I've had in recent memory for several reasons: (1) service was prompt, (2) they used a liner in the pan, a fresh purple pumice/sponge, a brand new file and clean nippers, (3) the technician was polite, gentle, and thorough, (4) the polish looks flawless. I tried out a new salon for funsies and I was not disappointed. I called to see if I could come in or needed an appointment or if I could walk in. They got me on the books no issues. I went in for a pedicure and selected one above the basic service just because. Let me tell you, this is probably the best pedicure I've ever had. I never normally leave reviews on places like this but I really felt I had to. A couple of weeks ago I had a pedicure scheduled and arrived on time. I was sat in the waiting area and I watched the previous appointment finish up. The nail tech did not clean the equipment and then began to work on my nails with the same equipment. I stopped the nail tech and told her I saw her use this equipment on the previous appointment. At this point the owner interjected and told me that wasn't true and called me a liar. The least relaxing pedicure I've ever had. The owner giving me a pedicure talked/screamed very loud on the phone the entire time in Vietnamese. I came to relax and listen to an audio book, but I couldn't even hear my book via AirPods over the screaming. I'm in Wichita on business from New York, and I desperately needed a manicure for a meeting tomorrow. I drove by Bliss and then checked out their reviews on Google and decided to try it out. I called ahead and they said they were servicing a bridal party but that they could squeeze me in. When I arrived I was seated right away after picking out my polish. My manicurist (whose name I forgot to ask!!) was super friendly and did a great job. I have weak nails so they're not exactly easy to work with but she cleaned up my nails exactly how I asked and the manicure came out perfect. I'm visiting from out of town so I don't have a normal nail place. I select Bliss Nails because they had great reviews, but boy did they let me down. I called to schedule a 430 appointment she said no that wasn't available, but she could take me at five. I said OK great. I showed up at five and she said oh you're the one getting French shellac. I said yes so I took a Seat and time goes on and on, and still nothing. 25 minutes goes by, and the gentleman going to do my nails tells me to sit at the chair. He then leaves and another five minutes go by, so I finally left because this is definitely not how you should treat customers. if you told me the 430 appointment wasn't available you should've told me to come even later because clearly the 5 o'clock appointment wasn't available either. read more

Emili is amazing! I moved to wichita 3 years ago from Shreveport, Louisiana and needed a new nail tech. If you are like me, then you would understand I get my nails done atleast once a month. So its crucial to go tonsomeone who takes their time and LOVES their job. It really shows Emili loves her job. She goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy and LOVING your nails. Also, for all you out there who get terrible ingrown toenails, Emili can help you. Bliss nails is very clean and has EVERY color in dip and gel you could think of (great regular polish selection too). Bliss also offers a special pedi every month so its nice to try new products! They have so many pretty dip colors and I love how the owner organizes the searches by color it makes it so much easier to find what you're looking for. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 is that one of the girls I had was SO talkative I had a hard time relaxing, i know everyone is different but I like to be more quiet and chill when I get my nails done. read more

I'm very picky about where I get my nails done and typically watch very closely to make sure everything that is used are packaged and clean. I was very happy with Bliss and how my nails turned out! I went in yesterday for a pedicure with one of my friends and we were promptly welcomed and soaking our feet within 5 minutes. I was a little worried at first as last time I got a pedicure it ended with sore feet; however, my worry vanished as soon as the pedicure started. All of the utensils were clean and prepackaged. The ladies were super nice and were happy to talk to you if that's something you enjoy. Their basic pedicure is $27 but I opted for a pedicure that would take care of my calluses for $37. I would definitely recommend going here as the atmosphere was very relaxing and walk-ins are more than welcome! read more

I came in for a dip manicure. The young woman who did my manicure was very rude. It felt as if my being there was bothering her. While filing my nails she cut my pinky pretty bad. She noticed and put some powder on it but never apologized or said anything about it. It's pretty deep and honestly still hurting pretty bad about 10 hours later. Went in on a Tuesday to get a full set of acrylic nails done. The nail technician took OVER 2 HOURS to do my nails. I was disappointed with the long period of time, however, I could've dealt with it as long as my nails were great... To be fair they looked awesome, for the first day & a half. However on Thursday evening (after having them done for, once again 1 & 1/2 days) my first nail broke. The next day too more broke. I went to get those three repaired at a different salon, crossing my fingers that the other 7 wouldn't break. However, the next day I come back from the salon - they did a wonderful job repaired the 3 broken nails - & yet, another original nail break. I am FURIOUS to have spent $40 on a set that couldnt hold up for a couple of weeks, let alone two days. I do not recommend and would NOT go back. read more

I haven't had my nails done in a looonnnnnng time due to COVID and was self conscious about the state they were in. I came in for a pedicure and I was so impressed by the customer service and how comfortable the technicians made my friend and I feel. My nails look amazing and I love my fresh pedicure. The salon is clean and nicely decorated and everyone is extremely friendly. I went for a pedi last week and was not impressed. The technician spent 35 min trimming and cutting my cuticles. I had a pedi a month prior so my nails weren't bad. She dug into the side of my big toe which caused it to bleed. She then asked me if I cut my toe prior to coming in . Needless to say she left me with a very sore toe which became infected. I will not be going back. She maybe spent 5 minutes massaging because she wasted too much time on other things. read more

Got a regular pedicure, tech nicked me, toe bleed. when I questioned her about it she laughed saying "yea a lil" Manger came over spoke with tech, manger finished my pedicure apologized profusely and let me pay a discounted rate. The manger here showed exceptional customer service and while I do realize nicks will happen, techs shouldn't laugh abt making a customer bleed. I drive past at least a dozen other nail salons to come to Bliss. The staff is so friendly, the salon is very clean, and their attention to detail cannot be beat. I get dip nails and they stay on at least 3, sometimes 4, weeks at a time. The pedicure is the most thorough pedi you will ever get in your life! They have the largest selection of dip colors, gel, and polishes I have ever seen. I've lived in many big cities and have never found a nail salon as good as Bliss. I went into Bliss Nails for the first time last Friday at 4:45pm. I asked for an acrylic full set w/shellac paint and a simple color change on my toes, regular polish. The salon is clean and spacious- beautiful really. The nail technicians were nice and hospitable. But that's were the excellence of my experience ends. They upsold me doing the nail dip over shellac and they push it hard there. If you are not a "dip" client, I would avoid even walking in there. The sales pitch is pushed so hard it was like trying to say no to a used car salesmen. The tech assigned to me did not glue the fake nails onto my real nails correctly; as there is a huge gap between my real nail and the fake nail on at least three fingers. She cut my right pinkie finger with scissors trying to shape the fake nail extension that she had already glued to my hand. It was not a small cut as the whole process came to a halt to deal with the fact that I was bleeding all over the work station. Then whilst filing my nails, she rubbed my the skin around two separate nails raw with the emery board. I ask for a subtle length, which was ignored, and so I acquiesced to a longer length because by this point I had been in the salon for at least two hours and was late for a party. They told me that I could come in to have them "reshaped" if it turned out I did not like the length after all. Then while the top coat was drying, it clouded up and looked terrible. Another more seasoned tech came over and explained to me that the humidity- which is beyond their control- can make the top coat cloud up really bad. So they used a nail file to scratch off the murky top coat and paint over it again. Therefore, ruining the glossy clean look that you are typically paying a nail tech to provide- on six of ten fingernails no less. In spite of the fact that the more season nail tech saw and witnessed the whole manicure and was aware of the fact that several big errors occurred during my three hours in their salon, she still felt it was appropriate to charge me full price. The time stamp on my receipt was 7:45pm. That's where the story should end. However, I went back on Monday to take them up on their "reshaping" offer because they were far too long to use the keyboard at my job. The more seasoned tech trimmed down the length but did not care to make sure that the nail tops were straight anymore, used a high powered nail drill to sand more skin raw to blister, and when she noticed the gaps between my real nails and the fake nails decided that instead of offering to correct the issue properly, she would just shove enough nail glue down the tops to fill the gap on at least four nails. Long story short? Buyer beware. read more
