She took care of my nails carefully and did not rush through-- our whole process took 2 hours plus compared to the 35 mins at my previous place (same design). Diem found this tiny piece of hair stuck under the powder and she took it out and repainted my nails instead of covering it up. This alone tells me how OCD and detail oriented she is. Yesterday I tried Classy Nails for the first time because they are closer to my house and work than my last last shop and because I've heard such great things. I had Maya, co-owner of Classy Nails, and wow...what a fantastic experience. I did call 2 days in advance and scheduled an appointment. Once I arrived, I waited less than 5 minutes before they took me to a station and began the process to soak off my current French dipping power manicure. There are so many things about their process that really WOWED me! 1. The soaking process - Normally when you have old polish removed they soak a cotton ball with acetone and wrap your fingers in foil. At classy nails, they prepare a bowl with warm water, place a bag on top of the warm water, and you stick your fingers in acetone to soak. This helps keep your fingers warm while the polish soaks AND I feel like it was a very effective way to take off the polish. 2. Precision in the polish - Maya was very precise when she did the dipping powder with French tips. It takes a skillful and steady hand to make these look as crisp and clean as they do. I am very impressed. 3. Customer service - From the moment I walked in the door, people were smiling, greeting me and taking me. They make it a priority not to have people, who have appointments, wait long. Also, they offer complementary beverages (soda, water, tea, etc) which I think is a nice touch! 4. PRICE - I paid $45 (before the tip) for a "full-set dip" + French. Normal dip is $40 and then there is a $5 French fee. This is $5 higher than my normal shop, but WELL worth the extra few dollars. 5. Speed - I was there for 55-60 minutes MAX. From the time I walked in, until the time I left. They were quick with everything, even though the place was SUPER busy. All this to say, PLEASE GO GIVE CLASSY NAILS A TRY!! This will become my new go to place. They even offer waxing (amen for my brows!) and other spa services.

Instead, we left with a reminder of just how much kindness from complete strangers can mean. From the moment we walked in, everyone at Divine Nails was welcoming and friendly. They got our chairs ready and showed us where to sit. One of the available chairs was next to an older woman who was already getting her nails done. As I went to sit down, I noticed a set of keys and an earbud case on the tray of my chair. I paused for a while and looked around because I wasn't sure if someone before me had accidentally left them behind. The woman beside me didn't say anything or seem to notice, so I carefully picked up the keys with just my thumb and pointer finger, intending to hand them to one of the nail techs and ask if they knew who they belonged to. The woman beside me then said, "Those are mine." I said, "Oh, okay!" and put them on her tray, honestly just happy that I had found their owner. My best friend's daughter and I went back to looking at nail colors when I heard, "Excuse me," from the woman beside me. When I turned toward her, it was immediately clear that she was upset. She told me she didn't appreciate me grabbing her things. I started to apologize and explain that I hadn't known they were hers, but she interrupted me and told me I could have just asked her to move them. At that point, I politely asked her to leave me alone. The interaction had already gotten everyone's attention, and I truly didn't want an argument. We had come in to enjoy ourselves. After she left, something happened that I will probably remember far longer than the uncomfortable interaction itself. The staff at Divine Nails were incredibly kind and sympathetic and apologized for what had happened, even though it was absolutely not their fault. Then the woman who had been sitting near us getting her nails done stood up when she was finished and told me how sorry she was that it had happened. She said she was sure we had come in to have a good time and that she hoped the situation hadn't ruined it for us. Her name was Erin -- I hope I'm spelling that correctly -- and I soon learned through some whispering between the staff that she had paid for my pedicure. I was completely shocked. I thanked her over and over because it was such an unexpected and incredibly kind thing for a complete stranger to do. Erin told me that she wanted me to know there are still nice people in the world and that she hoped we had a wonderful weekend. But it gets even better. After I finished getting my nails done, we found out that Erin hadn't just paid for my pedicure. She had also paid for my best friend's daughter's pedicure. I was honestly speechless. What could have easily become the part of our day we remembered for all the wrong reasons was completely transformed by Erin, the staff at Divine Nails, and even the other patrons in the salon. They turned an unfortunate moment into one that we will remember with gratitude. I genuinely hope something wonderful happens for the woman who was upset with me today. Maybe she was having a difficult day of her own. But Erin -- I especially hope something incredible finds its way back to you. Your kindness toward two complete strangers meant more than you probably realize. You didn't just buy us pedicures. You changed the entire feeling of our afternoon and reminded both of us that there really are incredibly kind people in this world. Thank you, Erin. And thank you to everyone at Divine Nails for making us feel so welcome and cared for. I'm a bit confused to how or why this nail salon has the ratings it does!?!…read more Last week on my way into Wichita I called and scheduled a pedicure. I told them I would be there in 20 minutes and they agreed to that. I walked in. They greeted me and continued to get a station ready for me. I was told to sit and start soaking. There were 3 other ladies already in tubs. 2 were getting serviced and the third was clearly still waiting. I figured ok, once they finish up, then they will start us. It took 45 minutes before a tech sat in front of me. To make matters worse I wasn't even next in line. She proceeded to take my polish off. Which I didn't get as she went from toe to toe barely cleaning them off. She continued with the cuticle pusher and again barely touching them. She proceeded to use the foot file and as she was rushing through this process she cut my pinky toe pretty bad. It was clear to me this was simply all about quantity not quality. She was skipping toes and literally leaving cuticles in plain view. I was in pain and annoyed so I asked her not to finish as she unsuccessfully tried to get the bleeding to stop. I asked for a bandaid and they charged me a discounted fee. Which looking back I shouldn't have even paid. It was the worst pedicure I have ever gotten. I literally had to finish what she had started. Thankfully i did nails for over 20 years in real spas and knew what I was doing! I couldn't wear anything but open toe shoes because of the constant bleeding. Save your money. It wasn't worth the $25 they charged me let alone what they normally charge.
