This was a fun little discovery while we were in Chinatown. This place is located inside a shopping center. There are two different places that takes photo of your aura and get a reading from one of the member. The one on the right side when you walk in, they had a whole set up to take your aura photo. Which was $40 including the reading.. Or you could go to your left side when you walk in, and they take your aura photo through their iPhone with a free reading. Their price was $25. They both places did print out your aura photo, but we have decided to go with the $40 option due to their camera aura set up. Seemed more legit as my friend said. We didn't have to wait long, they take your photo and they walk you through different colors of the aura in the photo. And the suggestion of what you should do like sleep more or let go of stress etc. I'm not a huge believer of this but it was fun to do once. After the reading, they suggest different crystals that you should buy to protect your aura. I honestly thought they were a little bit pricey so I didn't buy anything but my friend did buy a bracelet. And a lady charged her crystal for her and how to use her crystal in the future. I went there to get some crystal bracelets for my two daughters. And at the same time did an Aura Reading for curiosity and surprisingly it was spot on with the information Chris provided. He was patient and thorough. Also he give recommendations of bracelets and pendants for my daughters. I went with a crystal that signified wealth, career and relationship since they are young adults. Came by for my bday and wasn't disappointed! The inside is a bit small and can get crowded quickly so there was a lil line outside but it moved fast. You get inside and no pictures are allowed but you'll usually have three staff members who are available to read your aura after your picture. You can definitely try to read your own aura with the info they provide in store and online but I'd recommend paying the extra to have them read it for you especially if it's your first time. My previous co-worker introduced me to this shop many years ago (well over 20 years ago). The staff are nice (normally there would be 2-3) and so knowledgeable about the metaphysical properties of semi-precious crystals. There are many of those in their shop too LOL so it's astounding that they can remember all that. The vibe of their shop was always so peaceful so I loved visiting. Enjoyed watching the workers stringing together the jewelry. The quality of their stones is consistently beautiful! I haven't been to their new location on Elizabeth Street yet but would love to. I visited their Canal Street location many times. It was a bit small but I didn't mind it. I visited their Flushing location once. This location was more spacious. So I only come here to get my aura photo done. I came here a total of 4 times to reveal my aura back in 2021 to date. I want to come again but don't know if I should or not because I don't want to waste any more money it is $30 to take the photo and $40 with the photo and an explanation. They place you in a wooden chair with these two silver metal plates for you to put each hand on. Then you have to look into the camera lens in front of you and then a big flash. Both times my aura were the same and the other 2 times weren't. So I'm just hesitating if I should find out if I still have the same aura. The last time I got my aura taken, the staff said money will come from you and I'm like what!?! And she also asked if I were from NYC. I'm like wtf because I don't even look foreign born and I spoke in English. Oh wells, so now I'm hesitant in going back. Their crystals are kind of expensive for me although I did buy a black lion head for protection along with quartz beads. The staff created the bracelet out of red lanyard and made a nice criss cross sign in the bracelet. The lion head is very shiny when you turn it side to side. It's absolutely wild that I can walk past an establishment a million times and only see on social media that it is famous for something or sells something exciting etc. Randomly, I saw a video regarding Aura reading here at Magic Jewelry and made it a point to stop in on a day I was doing my "city traipse" for food and events. It's a small door to the left of the corner store, and you have to be buzzed in. Two people were inside also for the aura reading. I peeked at theirs, for comparison for when I get mine. One girl was very blue color picture and the boys was blue with much purple. I was seated and instructed to hold my hand down on something on the chair arms with metal tabs. The photo was snapped and Polaroid was discussed with me about the chakras. (Extra10$ for explanation) which I gladly paid. Told my coworkers about it and they went the very next day ! I don't wanna give out the wrong information. I do, however, have a few tips for people going for the first time. TIPS: 1. Go on a day that is less hectic. Just in case there's a long wait and you always wanna be relaxed or in a mood when you get your picture taken. 2. This does not tell your future. 3. Have fun! No big product here, had our photos in 5 minutes. The crystals are ridiculously overpriced but that's not why anyone goes here. The store itself is very small, next to KFT (may have a little wait but it's worth it I promise!!) When you go inside, someone will lead you to the back room where you sit and stare at a vintage looking camera. Your aura picture will then print like a Polaroid! When getting your reading, they also show you the chakra chart so that you fully understand your aura. Mine was pretty spot on. They also gave advice on what to do to improve yourself/ how to better obtain your goals in life. This is a really special Chinatown spot! I'm pretty into aura readings, tarot readings, etc, and this place was suggested to me by a friend pre-pandemic. I finally made it and was not disappointed! The people at the store were really friendly and kind. The store is small but they have a good selection of crystals and jewlery to pick from. You can definitely get any of the basic or well known crystals pretty easily, and the prices were really fair. The process for the aura reading was pretty quick, too. The entire photo and reading lasted around 10 minutes. During the reading, my friend and I asked a bunch of questions, making our reading a bit longer. I would suggest asking questions so that you get more bang for your buck, because it's about $40 for the entire process which lasts less than 15 minutes. That being said, this place is legit. I got an aura reading a few months ago and was told that 2 of my chakras were closed. In this reading, I was told the same 2 chakras were blocked, but not completely closed. What a cool little experience in Chinatown! On my recent vacation, my friend asked if I wanted to get my aura photographed. I'm always down for some mystical business so we headed down there. The shop is quaint with just a few seats and a large jewelry case featuring crystals. My friend and I both requested a reading and although there was a line, they took care of us quite quickly. Photos in the shop are seldom allowed, unless you want to take a photo of your photo or perhaps the aura diagram. It goes a little like this: You sit down in this special section of the store, you place your hands on two hand-shaped metal "platforms" if you will, and then you stare into a giant old called, I think, the Aura 3000? Something like that! Then, once your photos are developed you'll see your aura color(s) and get a specialized reading. It was pretty DEAD ON considering both my friend and I were told we were exhausted (fact) and that she was always "go, go, go." Although, I found it weird that she felt I was peaceful, because I'm a ball of anxiety! Perhaps I was peaceful in that moment because my friend brings out the best in me. :) Either way, we had fun, it only costs about $20 per person and it's about a unique of an experience as they come! I DO wish they would give you a written reading so you can look back and reference it. I forgot at least 50% of what she said although I guess I could've written things down myself. I discovered this place by accident one winter evening and to my surprise, they do aura pictures and the colors were spot on each time. However, I never cared much for the interpretations/readings afterwards because I found most their interpretations are more based on their personal life experiences and not accurate. My pictures turned out to be clear/indigo/magenta in the cooler months and clear/yellow/Indigo in the warmer months. The pictures are $20 each and they accept credit cards. Over priced and rushed. I came here with my boyfriend on a Saturday evening. The line was to the door and it was packed. We waited a bit before we got our photos taken and then we went up to the counter to have our auras read. I was optimistic that something about the aura reading would resonate with me. I love reading horoscopes and personality types, so I'm usually very open to this kind of stuff. They revealed my aura first- pink and red. Then they revealed my boyfriends aura- also pink and red- and in the same exact pattern. Maybe a weird coincidence, but after looking at them in detail they are identical. Probably just a malfunction in the camera with however they make the auras appear. The reading was extremely disappointing and absolutely nothing like my boyfriend and I. We also got ripped off because we really only got one aura reading because ours were identical. It's cute for the photo op, but not worth $30. read more
