I did not want to wear a wig so early in life. I did extensive research on my options and came across Hairline Ink. I live in Illinois. I checked everything about SMP and decided it was for me. I made my consultation appointment and met with Mike. Needless to say, I completed the two sessions and am so happy with the result. I am not embarrassed about talking about this. I am recommending this option and location to any who wants to listen. Everyone tells me it looks so natural and they cannot even tell it's a tattoo. It looks like real hair follicles. I had no pain or discomfort. Both sessions combined took only 2 hrs. Again, highly recommend this procedure and this location. Magic Mike, you are a saver of confidence. Thank You

If you're reading this because you're on the fence - DO IT! I've been wearing a closely buzzed look…read morefor years, but in the last two it had dramatically thinned out and started looking very uneven. I'm 33. I met with Mike and a few other SMP techs to see if SMP could bring back some density and still look natural. I decided on Mike but remained very nervous about my decision to give SMP a go. My biggest concerns were matching the SMP to my hair color (and density where it still grows) and a natural looking hairline. Too many SMP photos online show a hairline that is too sharp and not age-appropriate, and I was worried I'd look ridiculous. I nearly cancelled my appointment the day of and was OK to forfeit my deposit, but I decided to go through with it. Mike listened to my concerns and executed beautifully - I love it! It's actually quite difficult to differentiate between the natural follicles and the pigmentation. I was at a wedding last week, hanging out with a bunch of guys my age and balding came up (quite a few of them were bald or close to it) and one of them says to me "If I had as much hair as you do, I would never buzz it that short - let it grow out!" Mission accomplished. THANK YOU, MIKE!

This was the worst hair appointment of my life. I came in with a brand new unit in hopes for a cut…read morein. I was at this salon for over 8 hours only to get the brand new unit completely destroyed. During my appointment my stylist Chanel said several times that she needed to buy me new unit and that she doesn't usually do these. Here is what went wrong. They did not have the correct glue for lace. The glue was applied to both the lace and my scalp (a huge no-no to the lace). I even mentioned it. Five minutes later the glue had seeped all the way through the lace. This caused a disaster. My hair was covered in glue. I then had to have someone come drop proper glue off (why offer a service if you are not even prepared). Then once it was on she literally cut the hair on the back shorter than my real hair! Between the glue disaster and the cut my brand new system was ruined. My stylist kept apologizing to me says she would buy me a new unit and she is sorry that she doesn't really do these. I got sent home with an awful cut, my day wasted and glue was coated all over my hair! I then stopped in the next day to show them the disaster and no one was at the salon. I had left a voicemail with Debbie and she eventually got back to me. I told her what happened. She refunded me the money for the cut in service but not the unit. She even expressed how she shouldn't have even taken me as they normally only do woman's hair. I told her that I would then like a refund for my unit that her inexperienced stylist had botched. I told her how much my hair cost, she than said " they don't cost that much". Again why would she know if she doesn't use this hair often at her salon. I sent her an email with the invoice. I got no response. The super frustrating part is that I waited 6 months for this hair to come in from back order (350$). I ended up having to wait 2 weeks with an awful head of hair on to emergency fly to New York City to have my unit done correctly. The stylists jaws hit the ground when they saw what hairlab Chicago had done to me. The whole experience was traumatizing and stressful and I wasn't heard by owner! In my opinion if you knew better and even admitted that she shouldn't have accepted me as client, then why make me responsible for your mistake! I would never let a client walk out looking like this and then hold them financially responsible. Over all Debbie doesn't want to take responsibility for the mistake and I'm here to warn any further men to not come here! I am completely disgusted and disappointed with my experience here. Apparently it's my fault for getting my hair done there? I just don't get Debbie's logic. They should really take full responsibility to make this right on their end. I have pictures and videos of the whole experience.

Just had my procedure, today. A+ across the board, INFINITELY better than Bosley…read more Staff is excellent. Dr. Katona is tremendous, Doc comes from HUMBLE background. Talking to Doc is like talking to your neighbor...the neighbor(s) that you like & are happy to see. Not that painful of a procedure, but if I had to do it over, I'd have taken the valium. They offer valium, I didn't want to uber there/back & I didn't want to tell family/friends I was getting a hair transplant. So I drove...don't drive, take uber and/or cab & take the valium. The pain's not bad, but you do, in fact, receive anaesthesia. I would've been more relaxed with valium. Again, Dr. Katona offered the valium, but I like to think I'm tougher than I actually am. Anyway, out the door after about 9 hours. The staff was excellent and gave excellent after care instructions, plus a goodie basket. 8 o clock at night, Dr Katona texts me, asks me how I'm feeling. I've had a bosley procedure, which was 80% worse. If you can get your teeth cleaned, you can get a hair transplant from Dr. Art Katona. Anyway, my opinion: Dr. Katona will take over the hair transplant market (I own a small busines). Athletes in the HALL OF FAME go to Dr. Katona. These athletes are MULTI millionaires who could go anywhere they want for a hair transplant. Deion Sanders is NOT from Oakbrook, Illinois, Nor did he play for the Bears, but he flew to Dr. Katona to get his hair transplant. See the commercials/youtube on Deion's reviews of Dr. Katona. You'll have a FULL head of hair & it's non-surgical. God bless Katona hair restoration!!

Day of procedure went well. The staff did everything in their power to make me feel as comfortable as I could during the procedure. I had wonderful conversations with everyone on the staff that I met including Dr. Katona. Great people who love their job. Great atmosphere in there. That was what I noticed the most. Now I am home on day 5 of recovery. So far so good, I can't wait to have a cup of coffee again and I look forward to seeing the results a few months from now. I have all the confidence that I will be very happy with how it turns out. Thank you everyone that I met during my day of the procedure.

This is a follow up to my initial procedure that was done in June of 2022. My first FUE was 3,500…read moregrafts and it was a rousing success. I was very happy with the end result and it looked very natural. Most of my thinning was at the crown of my head and it helped there but after a few years it was clear that it was a little thinner than I wanted. Restore has a guarantee that offers 25% of your initial procedure if you dont see the density you expected (In this case about 875 of the 1,500 I had transplanted were "free"). FYI 3,500 grafts is the largest procedure they can do at one time so it was a two day event and I saw a fair amount of shock loss . I wore a baseball cap for about 3 months (thank goodness for Zoom) and my hair was pretty much back to normal within 5 months (thicker than ever). My second procedure was a breeze compared to the first. Dr Cloninger asked me what I wanted and we agreed to add a bit at the corners of my hairline in addition to filling in the front hairline and the crown with some added density. It was so much less invasive this time around and they didn't even shave my hair down as they did the first time. As I write this, it has been just over a month since the procedure was performed. I stopped wearing a baseball cap after about 3 weeks and you really cant see that I had anything done! I haven't experienced the shock loss I did the first time and the pain is so much less in my scalp. I know this could change over the next month or so .... I will follow up in a few months with an update. It was really pretty easy breezy this time around so my summary on the big question of SHOULD YOU DO IT is... First, you have to look at how old you are and where your hair is in its "thinning" journey. If you are 30, you will most likely experience more thinning unless you are completely bald. This means that although FUE will help, it wont stop the rest of your hair from falling out. This should be factored in to your expectations. I was in my 50s and my thinning had slowed considerably. You become so used to your appearance that you lose track of just how thin your hair was before you do it. I saw a pic just prior to the first procedure and compared it to one of me one year later and the difference is pretty amazing. Nobody has said anything...a few guys in the office have said "your hair looks great...what have you been doing"? It's natural looking and I am so glad that I chose to do it. Even if I didnt have the second procedure, I would have been 100% happy . I just wanted to have it PERFECT. I will follow up in a few months but if your only objection is "it's expensive", would you expect something that literally can change your whole outlook on life to be cheap? I know not everyone will see the same results but mine have been outstanding and I expect it to get even better. Kudos to the Restore team for delivering on their satisfaction guarantee because for the amount that I paid...it should be perfect. More to come....

Thereafter I moved out of state and unfortunately developed alopecia and have lost all my body hair. Instead of being a business with morals, they insist on charging me $3,500 because I can no longer have their procedure. They refer to the "contract" which they electronically applied my signature to. I offered to pay them $1,000 and refund me my balance, but that's not good enough. They are insisting on charging me the $3,500 for nothing. Now I will need to hire an attorney and file a civil suit to obtain a fair judgement. My advice is to never give this business a large deposit because they will try to keep the money without reason. Avoid this hassle with this business. Their business practices are unreasonable.
