This was the worst hair appointment of my life. I came in with a brand new unit in hopes for a cut…read morein. I was at this salon for over 8 hours only to get the brand new unit completely destroyed. During my appointment my stylist Chanel said several times that she needed to buy me new unit and that she doesn't usually do these. Here is what went wrong. They did not have the correct glue for lace. The glue was applied to both the lace and my scalp (a huge no-no to the lace). I even mentioned it. Five minutes later the glue had seeped all the way through the lace. This caused a disaster. My hair was covered in glue. I then had to have someone come drop proper glue off (why offer a service if you are not even prepared). Then once it was on she literally cut the hair on the back shorter than my real hair! Between the glue disaster and the cut my brand new system was ruined. My stylist kept apologizing to me says she would buy me a new unit and she is sorry that she doesn't really do these. I got sent home with an awful cut, my day wasted and glue was coated all over my hair! I then stopped in the next day to show them the disaster and no one was at the salon. I had left a voicemail with Debbie and she eventually got back to me. I told her what happened. She refunded me the money for the cut in service but not the unit. She even expressed how she shouldn't have even taken me as they normally only do woman's hair. I told her that I would then like a refund for my unit that her inexperienced stylist had botched. I told her how much my hair cost, she than said " they don't cost that much". Again why would she know if she doesn't use this hair often at her salon. I sent her an email with the invoice. I got no response. The super frustrating part is that I waited 6 months for this hair to come in from back order (350$). I ended up having to wait 2 weeks with an awful head of hair on to emergency fly to New York City to have my unit done correctly. The stylists jaws hit the ground when they saw what hairlab Chicago had done to me. The whole experience was traumatizing and stressful and I wasn't heard by owner! In my opinion if you knew better and even admitted that she shouldn't have accepted me as client, then why make me responsible for your mistake! I would never let a client walk out looking like this and then hold them financially responsible. Over all Debbie doesn't want to take responsibility for the mistake and I'm here to warn any further men to not come here! I am completely disgusted and disappointed with my experience here. Apparently it's my fault for getting my hair done there? I just don't get Debbie's logic. They should really take full responsibility to make this right on their end. I also gave Maxim/Dr Rachel a try and was promised amazing results following multiple consultations. I paid $8750 for 2500 grafts implants and the procedure was performed December 2016. Dr Rachel only popped in a few times to check on me, he did not otherwise assist in any way. I have no idea the credentials of the people who ostensibly implanted the 2500 grafts. I was initially told that I would begin seeing results after three months. When, after three months, nothing appeared to be happening and I voiced my concern, I was told it may take six months to see results. Then, after six months and as I still saw no change, I was told that I must wait a full year , and then year and a half to 2 before expecting results. Each time I questioned the lack of any discernable progress, I was pushed off with a new claim that it takes more time than was originally promised. It's been over two years and the results are terrible. I have very small scattering of hairs which look far worse than I ever looked before, and I've taken to shaving them to minimize the embarrassment. Now, all I have to show for the pain of the six-hour procedure and months of discomfort and emotional anguish is the obvious and embarrassing evidence that I've had implants. I went to the office multiple times to complain and Karen was always the person who put me off. Finally, Dr Rachel met with me and agreed that the results looked terrible. I was told to write up a full description of my experience and send it to them. They said I would get a response within a week. Naturally, I never heard ANYTHING! These people DO NOT stand by their work!!! Ive been completely humiliated and handled like a chump. It's disgusting that an MD can get away with this.

What went well you ask ?…read more Everything went well. First , when I arrived I was immediately greeted by front desk personnel who was very personable and welcoming. I sat and waited and my appointment was only a few minutes past the specified time which is another nice bonus. Not to many doctors get you in at the agreed appointment time. The nurse called me in and what a very pleasant young lady (Megan) Then I only waited a short time and then Dr Johnson came in. He took his time and made sure I had a chance to address any issues or concerns. Dr Johnson's bedside manner is second to none and so are his staff. I decided to give Dr. Rachel a chance and i met with him and karen at the gleniew location, from the begining i could tell something was different. I was not pressured into anything in fact karen explained that not everyone is a good canditate for a hair transplant and wanted to check my donor area to make sure what i wanted done was even possible. After it was determined 2500 grafts was possible they explained the procedure and the after effects of the procedure and also what can go wrong. I was suprised they didnt promise me fabio hair like the other places but kept things realistic. I left to think about it and karen gave me the time and space i needed, after a week i called back with more questions and decided to make the appointment. Karen worked with me in financing part of the surgery through care credit and i was ready to go. The actual procedure was exactly how dr. Rachel and karen said it would be. Not painful but uncomfortable , which i was able to handle ok. After a few days post opp i felt great. Just follow the directions karen gives you dont try to wing it and you will be fine. Ok now is the part that started to worry me i suffered a lot of shock loss from the procedure where i lost a ton of non transplanted hair. I showed up at the clinic super worried Karen checked out my hair along with the Dr. They determined alot of it will come back. Karen decided to help the situation by doing micro needling and prp to to to help with the shock loss. After several treatments my hair begain filling in and know im very happy how well it turned out. They went out of there way to help me get the look i wanted. They worked with me even a year and half after the transplant, when i had concerns they addressed them. Karen responds to my calls or texts within an hour and is ALWAYS available to help. When i was struggling with the shock loss a good 10 months after surgery they could of ignored me or make excuses, instead they took corrective actions leaving me happy with the results !!
