My experience at magic hand car wash was fantastic. After reading some of the other 1 and 2 star reviews, I can say that they're all BS. I made an appointment and I was greeted by a friendly staff member. I got the clay and wax service. And I added on interior vacuum and wipe down for an additional fee. All of the services performed were done very well. When my car was finished it looked like it just came off the showroom floor. The interior had been meticulously vacuumed and wiped down. The service was supposed to take about an hour and a half but was done in about an hour as they had two people working on it. The wash was all done by hand. Pressure washer and microfiber towels. No brushes and no scrubbing. I usually wash my car myself using the same methods, but it was really nice to take it somewhere and pay them to do it. The cost is more than other car washes, but it's worth it as it is all done by hand. They don't leave your vehicle all scratched up after every wash. It cost more but it's done the right way. Rip off! I bought a detail package - they left it filthy. When I showed up, they tried to get me to add on charges, I said no thanks. When they "finished" and it was still filthy, he said that was because I didnt add anything on and tried to up-charge me again. I said a detail shouldn't leave my car dirty. He kept trying to up-sell me and I finally said please just charge me and I'll leave this all in the review. Suddenly he was happy to redo the entire detail for free. I said no thanks and that id include that too. He was trying to get away with whatever he could, thinking id be dumb enough to fall for it. Only cared when I said id leave this review. Pathetic. What a waste of time and money. When i posted this review on Google, they tried to claim i was rude in some way - I wasn't, I simply didnt want additional costs. I paid for a detail. I got back a filthy car. Trying to claim I was rude for this is pretty telling of how you run the business. Your reply only proves my point. My spanish is ok and in spanish they told me 80 minutes for a mini detail and i didnt have that much time so the owner came up to me in english and said they could do it in 40 minutes (thats all i have time for) but would still charge me the full $80 for mini detail. I came here because I was in the area after a running a few errands. I learned appointments are required, but they took me with no appointment which I appreciated. I asked for a basic wash. No detail, no waxing, just a basic wash. I was charged $70 for a hand wash. This is close to double, and in some cases even more than the going rate on the street. It was really unfortunate. The owner was a very nice guy, but I felt like I was robbed based on the price relative to the services provided. Is it possible I was charged incorrectly? Really wanted to like this place since it's in my neighborhood but unfortunately I won't be returning. Got me in quickly, guys were friendly, didn't take long and I can see why. 1. They use a brush and in a circular motion, most of the better hand wash places have converted to wool mitts or micro fiber towels to remove dirt instead of just moving around a brush which causes swirls. 2. After driving home (.5 miles) I looked at my car closer. I had streaks all over the car, so I had to pull out my own towels, quick detailer and pretty much do the whole car over. 3. The wheels.. don't even know where to begin. My wheels are ceramic coated so they're incredibly easy to clean. The lips were still dirty, the spokes looked as if they weren't touched. I thought maybe they just missed one but they were all very dirty (photo attached). They did a great job on the interior, wish they did the same on the exterior. My lifelong bad habit of just being a gross person definitely helped. French fries from the Great Depression were stuck in places I didn't even know existed! My new car was damaged while at wash owner is irresponsible and will not own up to it brand new vehicle from dealer went in for first wash ever and comes back with gouge in window laminate and crack in sunroof glass . They were very flexible with my schedule and were able to come out at a time that suited me. No complaints about the job either.
