What can you day about art....hmmm ....well how about there is no eARTh without art. When you…read morecombine art with physical performance and you turn the human body into the brush and the music is your canvas ....you have ballet. We are blessed to have a world renowned choreographer set down roots in our fair town and we are already seeing dancers arriving from far and wide to train with Mr Servy Gallardo. It is a great opportunity for all dancers young and "young at heart", aspiring to earn a living a or to dance for the joy. The conservatory even has an adult class for those of us who want to try or never want to stop trying. I am over joyed to see a professional ballet conservatory open its heart and soul in St. Pete and excited to see more of Mr. Gallardo's art in motion!

So this is not my typical place to review. I'm a sports loving guy who likes to find good places to…read moreeat. I feel like this place needs to be out there a little more so the word will get out. My daughter started here a little over a year ago. This school at the time had only been open about 6-7 months and they were starting to grow. The Melton's (the owners) are great people and are more than a pleasure to deal with. They want nothing but success for the dancers here. They have what is considered to be two studios that are very large for a ballet studio that when opened up become a nice sized theater. There is some seating upstairs in a balcony type area where you can watch classes and rehearsals taking place. The instructors Servy and Alexe Gallardo are excellent and professional at what they do. My daughter began with Alexe and thrived with her. Alexe took my daughter in who knew nothing about ballet and she has taught her so much. My daughter now also has a class with Servy and she has loved working with him as well. He works his students very hard and pushes them to achieve more than they realize they can do but he does it in a way where there is a lot of encouragement and the students also enjoy what they are doing. My daughter always comes home a little sore and tired but is always wanting to do more and she always says how much she enjoys both Servy and Alexe. For any parents reading this. This is definitely a family type of environment with kids ranging in age from 5 years old to late teens and possibly early 20's. The classes are broken up so they are appropriate for age and skill level. The students are not competitive with each other and are more encouraging to each other which makes this a fun environment for all. The studio has now put on multiple shows at its location. Each show has only gotten better and definitely showcases the improvement each dancer has made over time. There have been many dancers (younger and older) that have have wowed the crowd during these shows with how skilled they are and how much they learn. They will be doing a full length Nutcracker here in December. I would encourage anyone to look this place up and check out the show. To any parents with a current ballet dancer or one wanting to become a dancer I would say run don't walk to this studio and enjoy the professional instruction and atmosphere this conservatory has to offer. There are not enough nice things I can say about what they have all done for my daughter and the other dancers at this location.

Where do I begin? Anyone who is thinking about planning an event here that involves using them and…read moretheir catering services, PLEASE DO NO DO IT!!!!! I recently attended a wedding there and it was a total disaster. It was sooooo bad that the bride was in tears almost having a breakdown. The bride trusted these people to cater and have her event there and it was not good. The appetizers that were served were all cold and looked that they were of the most cheapest quality that you can imagine. They served mozzarella cheese sticks that looked tan in color ( it did not look like appealing at all) and it was cold. The bride and her family had made trays of appetizers that were never taken out, and let's not even mention the food that was served. It was horrible. I am posting one picture that was supposed to be penne pasta with pesto sauce and chicken and the sauce was red. It looked totally disgusting. It was cold. They also served "spaghetti & meatballs, and the meatballs were pale in color, come to find out they substituted them for Turkey meatballs. Again, cold food and very poor presentation. Not the quality and caliber of an experienced catering company at all. As if that wasn't bad enough, a guest had mentioned that as they were walking out of the bathroom they noticed the "caterers" took a gallon of water and poured it over a tray of pasta that was sitting on a warmer and used their hands to mix it with NO GLOVES ON!!!!' The pasta was precooked and they just poured water over it, that's why it was cold. And to top it off, the "catering company " took one of the tiers of the wedding cake home with them, in the box and all, so they stole from the bride also. The owner of the establishment refuses to say who the caterers were and that's not fair to that bride. Her wedding was RUINED. Her guests were gone by 10:00pm and I have never been to a wedding that ended so quickly. We ended up ordering some pizzas for the few of us that were left. And now the bride is STILL waiting to get refunded for the food she paid for and the services that she paid for and she keeps getting the run around. Please, the bride paid ALOT of money to rent this hall and have her most important day of her life catered and it was a total disaster. People are still talking about this and it's been 2 weeks already. I feel so bad for this bride and the embarrassment that she just experienced. Below is a picture of the chicken dish that was served cold. It was nasty. I really hope that no one makes the mistake of hiring these people, one person already had their special day ruined. I do not want to see anyone else go through this. Please do your research and pick someone better. ( the bride did her research and was presented with a whole menu, and the food she was given was totally different) also the bride trusted these people because everything she was presented seemed to be on the up and up.

Her energy, choreography and music choices are SICK! As a Korean K-Pop dancer I can follow routines and steps well but I lack the raw energy and that swerve needed to do all the bouncing, gyrsting, and vibrating! In just first class, I feel like my moves got better and I got a killer workout! Definitely highly recommend anyone who loves to dance! Ramona's moves look hard but it's fairly easy to follow-- how much you sweat will depend on your own sass and attitude

What a most delightful experience, taking a paint & sip class! For those who don't know what a…read morepaint and sip is (a lot don't)- basically a business, like Painting With A Twist, has paint classes everyday where you pay admission per person and each class you are taught step by step how to create a specific painting. If you are of age, you have the option of bringing alcohol to sip as you paint, but you totally don't have to. Some places provide the alcohol, but this specific location at least is byob (bring your own beer). Seriously, even if you aren't an artistically inclined or creative person taking a painting class can still be a ton of fun. My dad is not artistic at all, doesn't have an artistic bone in his body really and he knows it, and he still had a ton of fun in the class and learned a lot. Plus, you have an instructor who walks you through how to paint small step by small step, and if you have questions they walk around and will help you correct things as well, so you really have as much guidance as you want, or not. As our hilarious instructor Scott said, "This is FUN art, not FINE art." This really was a ton of fun and i'm for sure going to take more classes in the future, it was the best night and Scott our instructor really helped to make it all the more fun!
