This review isn't about the teacher but about everything else. So if you're thinking about using them for your own rental (or booking for photo shoots like their site mentions), this review is for you. Every time I was there one of the two owners would sit and watch the majority of the class with their pet dog that would lounge on the furniture at the front or in their retail area. It's really inappropriate and distracting. One time someone stepped in dog crap inside and tracked it around the front seating area. Just... ew. Gross. Do these ladies bring their pets when they teach or is it only when someone else pays to use the space? One of the owners micromanaged the sound level the whole time she was there. Mind you, the speaker never popped or crackled or hit a level to worry about damaging it, nor were the neighboring businesses open to complain... I'm still laughing about it because their site boasts that they have quality sound but then don't want to let you use it. And then the chiming in when she had no business because it wasn't her class. If I wanted a boomer's opinion about something I would call my mom. From a student's perspective, this is objectively a nice studio space... If the floors didn't have a hump in one section, a ton of windows with no curtain thus blinding half the room perfectly with reflections from the sun, and a lingering buzzkill while you're trying to enjoy a class. I understand they're probably paranoid about their merchandise growing legs and walking off, but is there nothing they could do in a back corner to not feel like they're being a spectator? The decoration is cute, they have rotating artists set up their work, and this place has a lot of potential to be great. But either they need to have a system to trust the person teaching and give them a spare key (there's interior cameras...) or they need to figure out better customer service skills. It's like the boomeriest boomer that ever boomed opened up a business so they had something to do with their time. I wish these two the best of luck with their other classes and hope my experiences are unique to the times I was there.

After a false start at another studio where I didn't feel appreciated, I found Jane and Fritzi (RIP) who immediately let me know I was in a place where the love of dance was paramount and that "NO PRESSURE" was their modus operandi. So I went. The class space is located in a strip mall at the corner of Little road and old 54, it is neat and clean with nice flooring and a huge wall of mirrors. They offer a variety of classes from Bellydance to Yoga and now Burlesque. If you're in New Port Richey or the surrounding areas, stop in and check them out. I absolutely love the class. Taliah is phenomenal belly dancer and her classes are always fun to attend. All ladies in the studio are very friendly and I feel like I am a part of the wonderful community. I would highly recommend to check this place out! Can't wait to my next belly dancing class!

Information is given to us in a timely manner, recitals are organized and summer camps are fun. The teachers were excellent for my daughter with some of the same still teaching here. They youth assistants are talented and congenial with the children. They have a talented dance team but we just wanted our kids to ENJOY dance, not go to the olympics. They were not pressured to compete and this was very important to us. It's okay to dance for fun and exercise. We're very happy at Jeanne Lynne. Can't recommend it enough, especially with the grace with which they have handled the pandemic.

JLDS is IMO the best studio in St Pete! I started taking ballet lessons when I was 5. Every year the studio puts on a recital to showcase everyone's hard work. Watching the recital, I fell in love with clogging. My second year I enrolled in clogging. From beginner, I worked my way up to join the Southern Exposure clogging team and traveled the southern states competing with this team. We even got to travel to Missouri one summer to perform in shows for two weeks at Silver Dollar City, their theme park. Besides clogging and ballet. I also enrolled in tap, jazz, lyrical, African, and hip-hop (my second favorite after clogging). What started off as something my mom put me in as a fun hobby ended in the best time of my life with friends I will have forever. (I'm almost 40 and stopped dancing when I moved out at 22 and I still see some of these girls!) If competition isn't your cup of tea they have normal classes too. We can't wait until our wedding in 2 weeks so we can get back to dancing salsa and learning from Julia! I personally have been ballroom dancing on and off since 2005, so I have seen Julia in a variety of different settings and used to go to her Friday dance parties quite often. It's so good to go to them because there are people of many ages and levels, so you always learn something new just from coming out to socialize and DANCE! I will go as far and say that the Friday classes are just as important if not more so than any group dance class you take with her. It's like learning a language and then going into the real world to put it to practice. We just knocked off one star because the back room used for some of the beginner's classes lacks good ventilation and one time we went for a class it smelled very strongly like smoke. Seems like someone was naughty! But we have each had enjoyable experiences with Julia, so that's why we would go back in a heartbeat.

This studio focuses on learning things the right way the first time no matter their level of dance and always stressing on their technique. Being a former athlete myself, I'm very impressed with the solid core fundamentals and foundations of dance taught by Kelley. I also like that the classes are limited in size. There is also a variety of programs available to all dancers. My daughter is now part of their competition team and I like that Dance Central offers classes all year round so that she can continue the momentum in her dance education. You can really tell the owner has a passion for dance and loves helping people become confident with themselves and teaching them how to move. They were learning a "So You Think You Can Dance" routine when I visited and everybody looked like they were having a blast. If I wasn't taking down quotes and snapping photos, I definitely would have wanted to get up and learn some dance routines as well. The owner is really involved in the community and regularly works with the blind and visually impaired to offer them dance lessons, in addition to teaching children through the Palm Harbor Public Library. One of the kids was there and showed off her dance moves in front of everyone, it was really cool. One family drove down all the way from the east coast for the week just to have their daughter learn some ballroom dancing. Last year this studio was featured on "So You Think You Can Dance" so I think that is a pretty awesome thing to happen for Tampa Bay and for the owner. If I lived in Palm Harbor, I would definitely check out some classes when I have some down time.

My daughter was brought there by a friend who helped me on Saturday as I had work and then told me she was not allowed in. I currently have my daughter in gymnastics class and I have never gotten this type of communication or report and we are also given direct communication and feedback there. This is unprofessional.

WFDC (west Florida dance center) use to be next door in the strip mall and have since upgraded to an entirely custom building designed for teaching students in many types of dancing singing and acting.
