My fiancé and I are in the process of learning a routine for our first dance coming up in a few weeks. We originally started with a Groupon and after a few lessons decided this place would be perfect. As one of the other reviews said it is a warm and inviting atmosphere and all the staff are very knowledgeable and supportive. I had no dance history and my fiancé only a few as a small child so they were starting from scratch. Our instructor Bryan made it very easy and fun for us to learn new steps and to get our routine in decent shape so far. One of the most helpful things (besides the great staff) is the flexibility and willingness to work around our horrible schedules. In my job I am sometimes on call and have to find someone to cover for me to get lessons to work and my fiancé just starting a new job had to flex her life around the person training her so our schedules are a mess to say the least. Through all of that Bryan has been able to work with our schedule and get us lessons on at least a weekly basis and sometimes the same day as missing a lesson. My fiancé and I choose Dance Passion to take dance lessons for our upcoming wedding. We researched a few places in the area and Dance Passion had great reviews and was the right price for us. We took advantage of a free trial with Ivan before deciding wether to continue with private lessons. During our trial, we tried a bunch of different dances to see what we liked and did not. We had so much fun in our trial that we decided to continue private lessons with Ivan. Ivan was great to work with, he choreographed a dance for our first dance to the song we selected. He even edited the song to include portions we wanted and didn't want to make the song shorter so we did not have a 4 minute first dance. Ivan was amazing to work with. My wife and I just completed our 4th beginner lesson with Thibault at Dance Passion. I have 2 left feet and no rhythm, or at least that is what I thought. Thibault is a well spoken young man who knows how to ease a beginner into the basic steps, take away the anxiety, and move you along towards a feeling of comfort, all without passing judgement. We enjoyed it so much we have signed up for additional lessons and look forward to the group and party sessions. The studio is new, light and airy, clean and with an excellent music system. It is very conducive to learning. Thibault and owner Ivan are experienced competition dancers. I've learned and forgotten how to dance salsa a couple times. It's nothing like riding a bicycle. Muscle memory atrophies and my fleet-footed wife rolls her eyes lovingly when I bumble wrong-footed turns on sweaty dance floors. My in-laws had been learning swing at Dance Passion and they told me about a Groupon deal, so I bought it and scheduled my lesson. Ivan and Dani are very friendly skilled teachers - they insisted on a back-to-basics approach which I doubted at first but quickly realized was absolutely essential to everything that followed. The studio is clean and there's always water with fruit in it to drink. I haven't checked out their evening dance socials or group lessons, but they seem promising. My fiancé and I would highly recommend Dance Passion. Neither of us had any prior dancing experience and were definitely beginners in terms of skill level when we took the private classes. The owner, Ivan, was super welcoming and our instructor, Bryan, was very friendly and patient and his teaching style put us at ease right away. I found Dance Passion through their offer for a free group dance lesson and was delighted to find that Ivan, Carlos and Brian were such excellent teachers. I've wanted to learn ballroom dance for years but my fear of not being able to "get it" kept me from even trying. The instructors at Dance Passion were patient, even tempered and made the process so much fun that I was able to let go of the fear and really enjoy the lessons -- and putting the lessons in to practice socially. My husband and I just took our first lesson. My husband is a biker and he went into this venture hesitantly to say the least. Ivan was our instructor. I can't say enough about how easy he made it. We had a blast! We have already made our second appointment and we may go back tonight for the dance party. We have already decided to sign up for a package to continue dancing. The folks here are very nice, providing great individual instruction and in just a few lessons had me confidently dancing with my girlfriend - which is so much fun!!
