Yesterday Magic Dan came to our house to perform a birthday show for a group of 6-7 year olds and their parents. Dan really engages with everyone in the room, addressing the kids by name and involving them in the tricks. He has a great sense of humor and gets the adults laughing right along with the kids. The show lasts about 40 minutes which is the perfect length of time for this particular age group. Our birthday boy felt very special and loved getting up in front of his friends to help demonstrate some tricks. We first learned of Magic Dan at a friend's Halloween party and have now used him twice for our own family's birthday parties. We highly recommend him and will look forward to seeing him again in the future.

We love Magic Dan!!! We have seen him once at elementary school and also booked him to come to our 4-year old's birthday party. He has tricks for all ages, the kids were enthralled for the hour and even had some jokes for the adults. He arrived early and was prepared well before the show started, he kept the tricks moving and overall managed a great show. He's more than well worth the rate and you'd be lucky to be able to get him.

Magic Dan was definitely MAGICAL. He was great with the kids and surprisingly included the adults so everyone had fun. We were at an outdoor picnic in Daly City, CA and his set up was simple, tricks effective and humor infectious. He's been doing this, and only this, for 35 years, he's mastered his craft. It was captivating to watch him juggle an audience of 100 + people. He handled curious kids, managed the wind and entertained the adults. Can't wait to have a celebration to invite him back. 5-stars, I highly recommend!

Magic Dan brought a lot of fun and laughs to our creative department family day in the Presidio today. All of the kids loved it.

Many restaurants and businesses now occupy many spaces. if you want access to some cool perks like access to meet & greets, the Members Lounge, and presale; then sign up to become a Member with the Presidio Theater. It was worth every penny and I'm also helping out a small non-profit venue brings great entertainment to the Presidio area. The lounge offers great wines at a discount from their sponsored local bay area wineries. Whites, Reds, Chardonnays. I took the Train, the Ferry, and a Lyft to get here. Seeing Lisa Fischer live on a chill SF afternoon was cool. She took time to meet her fans, thank them, and take some selfies. My seat was first row in AA1. I took some great pics and videos that I have to post on YT because they are beyond the 30 second limit. Her band was the Grand Baton. I left a picture of the setlist she performed. Some great covers and a couple of songs from her album from 1991. If you're not a Lisa Fischer fan, interest fact is that she was tour background singer for Luther Vandross and The Rolling Stones in the 1990s. She was also featured on the documentary "20 feet from Stardom" Such a great film. I have heard of this theater, but never actually went inside of it until now. it's a nice cozy theater with a stage and two level seating the orchestra and the section behind it. Any seat you can have a pretty good view point. I came here for an artist talk called "Art at the Presidio Theatre: Andrew Pick & Ursula Xanthe Young". Andrew Pick, a pastel and oil painter based in San Francisco, trained at both the City College of San Francisco and The Art Students League of New York. His plein air paintings capture the city's streets, skies, and hidden corners with immediacy and intimacy. Ursula Xanthe Young brings her signature blend of intricate architectural motifs, feminine iconography, and dreamlike cityscapes to the space. Her work--well known throughout the Bay and beyond--draws inspiration from the urban world around her, reimagining San Francisco as both myth and Memories. This show was moderated by returning artist Rhonel Roberts, whose own work opened this series. This is a chance to hear the artists discuss their process, their paths, and the shared landscapes that inspire them. Yes, there is much going in this area with one Presidio Go Shuttle bus and one muni bus 43 Masonic that actually comes into this park. The 30 Stockton bus stops by the Sports Basement and it is also a 4 minute walk up the stairs to the Presidio tops park. I happened to follow Ursula Xanthe Young work and found she did a skateboard exhibit at the Minnna art gallery too, so obviously I am going to check it out and that is why both these reviews are now posted back to back

Although the first location on Paris was a second home for me, visiting their Ocean location still managed to give me comfortable, welcoming vibes and that's mainly because the staff and teachers are still as kind and excited about music education as they were back when I was a student! No matter when I drop in, I can trust that there is going to be a credible, talented teacher giving feedback to their student's family. From all the times I've visited, I've never seen a student walk out of their lesson unhappy. Students, most of the time, give their teacher a cheery goodbye and it feels like the school has only improved from when I was also a Vibo Music student. My sibling used to take lessons at Vibo but recently stopped to pursue other hobbies. During their time at Vibo, they improved so, so, so much and even used the skills they acquired to self-learn songs they were interested in. While I would wait for them during their lessons, I would also hear other students practicing during their lessons, and because I was there once a week, I heard other students improve as well. It's just an amazing feeling knowing that Vibo is always encouraging musical growth and exploration. If you have younger children who show interest in learning about music, Vibo Music's teachers truly excel in working with not only young children, but people of all ages, backgrounds, and interests. You can mark my words that when it's my time to have kids, I'll be enrolling them at Vibo Music School so they can form as many amazing memories as I did.

I did two separate purchases with blind seating, we added a fourth person later, it was not possible to select seating purchasing blind. We were completely ok sitting separately. Day of when ticket email came and seats were viewable all seating had been placed together which was REALLLLLLLY appreciated and not expected!! The theater is old, and stunning all the details in the architecture. Due to its age the seating is not elevated which is NO current fault. However it did cause all spectators to move their heads around to see the production. The row above us was empty we ended up climbing up a row in order to see. When I book again I won't book blindly and will select my seats. The production was cast WELL!!!! Chemistry isn't always evident among theater cast, it was present here.. Very present!!! Choreo was on point, vocals were Spectacular, energy was high, not one person in the production skipped a beat!!! We all really thought Hairspray was PHENOMENAL!! Will I return: ABSOLUTELY!!!!!! Great customer service, easy purchasing, small details like grouping tickets purchased separately, PHENOMENAL SHOW......: I'll be back sooner than later!!!!! We used spot hero app to find parking at 520 Mason Street which was underground and secure!!!!! The plus was it was literally around the corner and a one minute walk to the theater!!!!!

It was a bit strange seeing men walk out of the stalls in the bathroom, but it didn't bother me. I would really prefer that the seat is returned to a downward position, though, and happy the floor was dry!

We had several meetings to ensure I was on the right path and checking off all the to do's. And the day of coordinator was perfect. She knew exactly what to do, never bothered me asking for anything. She kept us on schedule, she did all of the day of set up, coordinated with all my vendors and handled the tips. I was also so pleasantly surprised and thrilled when I came back on Sunday that she and her assistant had put everything away, all decor and staked the tables and chairs and put away linens. Not enough ice arrived and the bar was lacking some items and her assistant went to the store to grab everything. I am SO glad to have hired Cierra because I was fully present during my wedding day and can't imagine how differently and stressful the day would have been without her help. Best money spent!

However, a few months before the wedding I was so overwhelmed with all the detail that Brenda offered to meet and she just helped me organized my priorities and made me feel really good about the progress I had made. She did the same 6 weeks later. OMG, so helpful to keep me going and manage the overwhelm. As the date grew nearer, she started leading more to ensure we took care of those horrible details (seating charts, signage, communication with vendors, table set ups, and the timeline, etc). At every moment she was calm, lovely, relatable, fun, reassuring, and extremely competent. The week before the wedding she came over and took ownership of all the "stuff" (candles, ceremony items, decorations, etc). That felt sooo good. She was great at the rehearsal and made sure "all the cats were herded"so we got through the rehearsal and worked out all the details. The day of the wedding? We were so relaxed and didn't think about a single thing. The tables were set exactly as we had discussed, the ambiance was amazing, every little detail she had taken care of. and then she cleaned up and stored everything for us and then brought it back to us a couple of days later. During the wedding, Brenda was a total ninja....I barely saw her at the wedding as she was in the background making it all happen so we could enjoy our guests. A guest even took a picture of her that makes her look like the super hero she is, LOL! You will LOVE working with Brenda. I cannot recommend her more vigorously. She is amazing.
