I had a chance to see him in my town yesterday and I was very dissapointed with the attitude he had with little kids...he moved one toddler from the other kids he was sitting next to, even though the toddler was behaving pretty good, just because (before he even started) the toddler stood up to check his mom up...then after that a baby started crying and after a few minutes he made this comment: "wow, that baby has good vowel cords"...I really think the attitude he had was very rude and unacceptable...I mean, this man should be thinking about other job options because this attitude is not what you expect to see in a person who works FOR kids.... read more

Magic Dan came to my 1 year old son's birthday party. My baby stayed interested the entire time. This is huge considering how young he is. His older cousins were there. We just had Magic Dan perform at our daughter's 6th birthday party. We had originally seen him perform over 2 years ago at a friend's party and my daughter remembered his show after all this time and specifically requested him for her birthday. He was the hit of the party! Dan was incredibly easy to work with, communicated via email and phone, was flexible when we had to change the location of the party to a much smaller venue, and followed up with me with a nice email after the party. He was also so nice to my daughter, giving her a special "Assistant's Certificate" and calling her and all her friends by name throughout his show. The best thing about Magic Dan's act is that he can engage the kids and the grown-ups, too. He really has a talent for making everyone laugh and be amazed. It's so funny to hear the kids yelling, laughing, having a blast watching the show for the entire 45 minutes, but then the grown-ups are laughing and engaged too - everyone from the 2 years olds to the 72 year olds enjoyed the show! We first met Magic Dan during a performance he did at the main branch of the Redwood City public library and he was just amazing! He's funny, clever, silly and his magic and antics keep his audience of young kids completely captivated. Having seen what a great job he did at the library, we decided to hire him for our daughter's 7th birthday party -- we had 24 kids plus their parents in a house that's really not that big. My godson had a birthday party. His mom invited about a dozen or so other kids over to a nice, local pizza parlor. I asked him if my son can perform his tricks before he started and he was very accommodating. He arrived in plenty of time to set up and to get familiar with the children's names at the party. Before the show started, Magic Dan explained all his rules clearly and in a fun way. I was impressed with Magic Dan's show. He was very entertaining with the kids and the adults too!
