He's so incredibly talented and such a funny and kind person! Very interactive time together and I highly recommend his show!

I have no bloody idea how this man is capable of the witchery he demonstrates (he's also hilarious which adds to the flavor of his act significantly). Seriously, these are not some amateur slight-of-hand tricks but ones where he actually knows what you are thinking--sometimes before you even realize you're thinking it. He even has people from the audience come up and essentially "do" tricks (following his instructions) while he watches from the background -- never touching anyone or anything -- and somehow is still able to get mind-bending results. I have had the pleasure of being called up on stage to do some of these and I honestly do not know how he could do what he does (photo below shows him drawing something that I was only thinking, if you can believe that). And he gives a solid two-two-and-half hour performance on top of that. Catch him for a VERY reasonable price at the Lost Church and enjoy. read more

Brad Barton - Reality Thief - Performing Arts Near Me

Absolutely fabulous. He creats such an enjoyable atmoshere while he is bewitching you with his command of his craft. It is mind blowing and such fun. You go out of the theater just shaking your head...How could he have done that???? I want to go back and take more people and take more and more people. It is so entertaining and thought prevoking at the same time. Seems great for all ages too. read more

Hired brad for one of our events as per customer request and he was amazing. He walked around the room and did his show for smaller groups of people and everyone liked it. It was very engaging and entertaining. Will go back for other events fir sure read more

I haven't written a review for years, but am breaking that hiatus to share how fantastic Brad's performance was for our virtual holiday party. Brad kept us mesmerized and in a constant state of confusion (in a good way). If you want to counteract the awfulness of 2020 with a rush of endorphins, I highly recommend booking Brad! read more

This guy is crazy. He was the magician at a party I attended, and he freaked me out. He did a few close up card tricks and blew my mind. I don't think he's human. I think he's an extra-terrestrial being who's knowledge of the physical universe dwarfs what our species understands. Or he's a celestial being, humoring himself by surrounding us finite being by showing off a portion of his godly powers. Either way, hire this guy, or our planet/race/souls will be lost!!! BTW, if you see him across from you at a poker table, RUN AWAY!!! read more

He is Great!! I had an amazing time at his show, I was very surprised with the gift that he gave to me, it was very unexpected. I loved everything, I'II definitely coming back. Thank you so much for a great time! read more

I can not speak highly enough about Brad's talents. He recently performed at my husband's 40th birthday and we were all blown away by his show. Thank you Brad for helping us make this birthday one to remember! read more

Mind- BLOWN. Best time I've had in a very long time. My friends and I were floored and speechless and obsessed. Reality thief indeed!!

We hired Brad to perform for our company Holiday party. Brad's performance was nothing short of spectacular! His shift to virtual shows was seamless - he made sure to include nearly everyone at the company in one trick or another (we have about 30 people). Other than the magic that he creates - I love that his performance is well rounded. He starts with something at the beginning of the show and makes sure that it comes full circle by the end of the show - all while blowing people's minds in between. Brad is absolutely talented at his craft and I would recommend him to anyone who would listen. He's communicative from the moment you reach out and really leaves no stone un-turned. Thank you Brad for making our holiday party wonderful! You are appreciated and worth every cent. read more

You won't find a bigger fan of ol' Brad Barton than myself! This guy will quite simply blow your mind! Whether he's making miniature Hot Wheels toy cars appear from the depths of a hunk of Silly Putty or reading your mind when choosing 1 of any given 52 items in a deck of cards, the stuff he does right in front of your grill is nothing short of extraordinary. If you have any kind of shindig that calls for an entertainer, you'd better keep this cat on a short list of folks to reach out to. read more

We hired Brad for DreamForce 2013. We had a 10x10 booth with our theme being "Make the Impossible Possible". Brad worked the crowd and amazed everyone! He was a great way to draw attention and to earn the right to have a conversation with potential customers. I would definitely recommend him to draw attention and gather leads at an event. Cheers, James read more

With no prior knowledge, went with friends while visiting SF to see Brad a bar ... and was chosen out of the crowd! He correctly guessed my wife's name (knew? intuited? read my mind? IDK) and our wedding anniversary. All the more dazzling for me receiving BB's attention in front of a bar crowd. An arch crowd, sporting fancy craft beers, he had us all mesmerized -- possibly, literally. I've heard what I saw called "mentalism," but whatever it's called, it's dazzling and wildly entertaining for groups of all sizes. I have zero idea how he did basically any of the seemingly supernatural feats of mind and memory that he did. It would easy to even go so far as to suppose that he truly does have supernatural powers. I don't think so, though. I just think Brad Barton's true superpower is being one of the most entertaining humans to walk the Earth. (fueled, no doubt, by Brad's abiding dedication, passion, and practice for the Illusory Arts). read more

Brad was mind blowing! So much fun and he has us all wondering how he did it!! The interactive component is lovely and great for group activities. read more

I had the pleasure of performing with Brad for a week when he subbed in for one of our regulars. He personifies magic excellence! He is disarmingly charming and as adept with a deck of cards as he is with making you believe you have "free will"...which, you do not. I am proud to call him a friend and compatriot and even more proud to have him fill my shoes as I venture off to bigger and better things. Do yourself a favor...see Brad. See Brad often. I set up a virtual team event with Brad. The event was fun, well organized, and unforgettable. It was engaging and helped us bond as a team. We talked about it afterwards and tried to figure out what was the secret behind the tricks we had seen but of course we couldn't figure them out. The performance was very funny and entertaining. I highly recommend this virtual event and looking forward to be able to attend one of the shows in person when life goes back to normal. Thank you Brad for sharing your magic with us. Our team loved your show. read more

Simply AMAZING!!! I cannot believe Brad Barton Reality Thief is not the hottest show in all of San Francisco. I've lived here for years and was unaware of this incredible, mind tangling, awe inspiring show. A friend suggested we go and now this is the gift I plan to pass on to everyone I love. I love magic and have paid top dollar in Las Vegas and elsewhere only to see Brad Barton and realize the best of the best was always here...there's no place like home in SF. You MUST see this. read more

I find it puzzling that nearly every review here describes Brad as "an entertainer" or "great magician". He is neither. He is, quite simply, not human. He is superhuman. Alien. Pure magic itself. read more

Fun. Unbelievable. Witty. This guy dropped into a party at an awkward moment and made the night magical. Definitely worth suspending disbelief for. read more

Brad Barton is the real deal! I went to his show for my birthday, and he was amazing! His interaction with the crowd was great, he was able to get everybody involved and not make you feel foolish. Wow wow wow! Saw him last night and it was better than expected. Great mind tricks and card tricks. Super fun experience! Highly recommend for a fun night out. read more

Incredible/Awesome show! He is outstanding! Great night! Unbelievable the level of entertainment.

I had a party several years ago and Brad was recommended by a mutual friend, so I flew him in. I can only use one word to describe him ! "BRILLIANT " . To this day, my friends are still talking about the man who amazed them mentally & visually. When i threw a large party for my boys this year, he was the first person we had to book for the event. Needlees to say, he was the "hit" of the night !!!! read more

Brad did a presentation in Houston for our 2011 Leadership Conference, a post dinner event for 180 people. He did a great job of working the crowd during the reception and did a very good performance, tying our theme into what he did. Folks are still talking about it, the best we've had! Wow - MIND BLOWN!! We saw Brad Barton at the Adult Sleepover hosted by the Academy of Sciences in SF. There were about 350 drinking adults in pajamas at the event, with over 100 watching Brad. I came in a few minutes late, and according to my party, missed some of his really funny jokes. He is just wonderful, and extremely unique with his acts and humor. He did not perform any tricks we had seen before. He did one trick that just BLEW ME AWAY with numbers and guessing what a person wrote. This man is a REAL entertainer. People in the crowd were whistling, clapping, yelling & having a GREAT time. He pulled a lot of volunteers from the crowd, which was AWESOME. At 1045 pm, people were allowed to set up their sleeping bags inside the Academy on a first come basis, WELL, Brad was still performing. Only 10 people left his show early to go set up their sleeping bags. I wanted to secure my sleeping spot in the aquarium, but he was just tooooo good to leave early. I highly recommend him, Brad is AMAZING!! read more

I've hosted several private parties at which Brad's *stunned* the crowd. "Reality Thief" indeed.... I had a guest get so worked up over how his tricks defied all logic that she had to step out onto the porch, jump up and down and scream "this is all impossible!!" before she could hold a normal conversation again. Very funny, and needless to say everyone was rolling with laughter and having a great time. Each party was a different mix of people -- one had children -- and he did a great job tailoring his work to something suitable for the audience. Hire him now before he becomes an international celebrity and you can't afford him! read more

Brad is a phenomenal performer and always a pleasure to work with. He's got the uncanny ability to blow your mind while maintaining a sense of humor and humility. It's hard to imagine an event that wouldn't benefit from having him involved. Whether it's an elaborate participatory mentalist excursion or a simple slight of hand, Brad is always a crowd pleaser. read more

Saw Mr. Barton at the Exploratorium After Dark this past Thursday - so much fun. Not only is he a GREAT illusionist; his handling of the crowd is what sets him apart from other performers. Mesmerizing and hilarious. An awesome show all around. read more

Wow. Where to start... Brad Barton Reality Thief is a treat to behold. I have hired him on two occasions, and been lucky enough to catch a sundry few other performances. He will blow your mind, that is a guarantee. From card tricks to mind reading to levitating(!?), he will stun and amaze everyone present. Hire this guy before HBO snatches him up. read more

Mind. Blown. Brad Barton cannot be explained. His up close magic is beyond comprehension. We held a card that we knew the value of in our hands and without him being near us it changed to another one. Wow! read more

I saw Brad perform at the Academy of Sciences NightLife recently and he totally amazed and stunned me. He just sidled on up to our crowd and began chatting with us while completely freaking with our minds. Each magic trick was totally creative and different and seemed to build upon one another. I also found him really funny and charming. I would definitely seek out his stage performances or hire him for a private party as a mingling magic man! read more

He made an apple disappear under a mug after showing me that the apple clearly did not fit in the mug. I was 2 feet away. I have 20/13 vision and I didn't blink. This still angers and confuses me. Well played, Reality Thief! read more

I hired Brad to do a show at our company Holiday party this year. I had never seen any of Brad's performances before hiring him but I since I had seen such good reviews I knew we were in for a treat. He was even better then I had expected or hoped for. Brad first mingled with our group while we held a cocktail hour, getting to know everyone and doing small close up tricks to get everyone excited. He then did a 45 minute show while we ate dinner. Everyone was just blown away by his show. He did such a good job of keep everyone engaged and entertained. He also stuck around after the show for a bit to talk to everyone. I would hire him again in a heartbeat! read more

We had Brad Barton put on 2 shows back to back at our companies 100th year celebration weekend in Milwaukee Wisconsin. His shows were outstanding and were completely different for both nights.
