TLDR: Anastasia is at Redmond EWC!…read more I always had the best Brazilian experience with Anastasia and was devastated to see she was no longer working here . I reluctantly began my search for a new waxer when I happened to find that she is now at the Redmond EWC location! The person who waxed me was very kind and made great conversation. I truly have nothing bad to say…read moreabout the actual waxing experience itself, it was comfortable and professional. However, I did not have a good experience afterward. Additional services were offered to me without it being clearly explained that there would be an extra charge attached. I was also given wipes that I was told were free, but when I got to the counter, I was told I had to pay for them. I felt like I was being charged more without my clear consent or understanding. The front desk staff was not very kind or welcoming during checkout. I was made to feel embarrassed for not knowing that two extra waxing strips would cost an additional $22, and that the travel-size wipes were $13 after being told they were free. I left feeling uncomfortable, embarrassed, and like I wasn't treated very well by the front desk. While I appreciated the kindness of the person who provided the service, the checkout experience really impacted how I felt leaving the appointment. Because of this experience, I will not be returning.

Review of Yukiko Halvorson In November 2011, I pulled a…read morehamstring muscle and went to a sports doctor. He referred me to physical therapy. I am a true believer in PT but in this case, PT didn't help. My hamstring muscles were very tight, I could not get them to relax even with PT exercises. At that time, a friend suggested getting a massage and referred me to Yukiko Halvorson. At my first massage appointment with Yukiko, she worked on my hamstrings. With deep tissue massage, Yukiko, worked magic on my hamstrings and got them to relax for the first time in many weeks. I started out receiving one hour massages and have now worked up to 2 hour massages once a month. Yukiko is located in downtown Bellevue, one block north of Main Street in Old Bellevue. She has a parking spot reserved up front for her clients. Since moving to this new space (Namaste Healing Spa), Yukiko has incorporated hot stones into her massages. Combining deep tissue massage and hot stones really helps to relax my muscles. I highly recommend Yukiko Halvorson.

I did notice it took much longer than I expected before we were serviced, even though I called ahead for an appointment. They were busy but not all the manicurists were with a client. So, unsure of the delay. We got the basic pedi with add-on gel mani. Loved my pedi massage that included a foot scrub. Service was good, but nothing WOWed me. Prices for pedi were typical, but the add-ons (gel removal and gel mani) were over the top. Hoping that my mani/pedi will last at least a week as they said it should, otherwise not worth what I paid.
