Here are some examples: Changed a faucet that dripped for YEARS that I was told was not fixable. Not only was it not dripping but he closed up the rusty old hole and made the tile look like the hole was never there. Had the uuuugliest fluorescent light in the living room, like "Joe vs the volcano" level, he replaced it, made it look like it was just all a bad dream. He replaced and fixed the kitchen door so it was even with the floor, when the door would open it would get stuck because the floor was not even, so he did some mathematical engineering and got it to work. He stabilized the dried out wooden pergola over the patio with wood and new metal supports so it didn't have to be torn down, saved a lot of money. He was able to design and construct from scratch a gorgeous washer and dryer enclosure that replaced a UGLY UGLY termite eaten shed that disintegrated when you barely touched it, rusted nails coming out, doors falling off the hinges. Throughout the process, he was very communicative, asking questions that involved functional design, placement, aesthetics. Even matched the hardware to the fences, which really was supercool. He also replaced a variety of ceiling fans, ceiling lights, bathroom faucet, drain, lights, kitchen drains, electrical plugs, fix a fence, and problem solve regarding how to hide wires, electrical cords. Long story short, I would highly recommend Brandon for house repairs, fixes, and design problem solving. His work is very thorough, detail and quality oriented, and he is very professional and is really an expert at what he does.

I hired Marcus with Architectural Woodworking for a small carpentry project at my sister's condo in…read moreRancho Cucamonga and paid a $450 deposit. Initially, communication was prompt until I paid the deposit. After a week or so my sister had to reach out to get the project scheduled. The start date was postponed twice by Marcus, and each delay came with a different explanation. After losing confidence that the project would move forward, I canceled the work and requested a refund of my deposit. Marcus agreed to refund the money, but the promised payment dates (multiple times) passed without the refund being sent. I continued to press him for my money. In one text exchange he stated he was out the money spent on materials he purchased but he would pay me. In reality what he had to purchase was negligible because my sister had all materials except maybe caulk. I told him to deduct whatever he spent in another attempt to get my money. This morning I received an invoice to pay the balance of the job that was never started! As of the date of this review, I am still waiting for the return of my deposit. Its unfortunate I had to post this but I hope this review helps others make an informed decision. If I ever receive my money I'll update this review to reflect it.
