I've had the pleasure of collaborating with Megan of MaeMae Paperie for 2 separate projects, first my branding design & second my wedding invites. The process with megan is mind blowing as she coached me through the process of each, especially with developing a logo and branding pieces, something so sensitive and dear to my heart. I felt that she handled my brand as if it were her own. Megan is so great because her service stands up to her designs. During my logo process it was a struggle for me to discern how i felt I wanted my business to be represented. Through my indecisiveness, Megan walked me through the process and guided me on ways I can better portray my vision which ended in a difficult decision on my part because I loved each piece she offered so much. For my wedding invites we chose a collection suite plus a custom address stamp which was so unbelievably painless. She handled the printing as well. Everything was delivered in a timely manner and she gave great recommendations for envelopes & packaging. And the design was pretty awesome on top of the ease. Her passion gets me so excited about the pieces I order, the way my goods came delivered... So adorable! makes you feel valued and you never feel that she's too busy for you... even though I'm sure she is :) I work in the event industry and MaeMae Paperie is my first stationary & paper goods recommendation. I used MMP for my company's 70th anniversary invitations. Being that this was an auspicious occasion for our company we wanted to make sure that we presented it to all of our invitees that way. We were not disappointed. The quality of the invitations were amazing. We used a VERY hefty paper to convey the value of these invitations and the party. Since the party was on the Queen Mary, there was a 1940's cruise line theme. The RSVP cards were even cut to represent a cruise ticket. In addition to the actual invitations we also purchased the design elements so that we could use them for internal marketing. When my graphic designer and ad agency got their invitations they were both impressed at the quality that we received. Megan is a designer's designer. I know because I am a graphic designer - have been for over 15 years - and was lucky enough to have found Megan to redesign my logo and branding and give it a much needed makeover. I knew the first time I saw her work (on a wedding blog I can no longer remember) that she was the one I would choose to give me a fresh and updated identity. I was even more excited after I had a chance to speak with her on the phone - her positive energy, vibrant personality and love for design and all things pretty came through during that first conversation and carried over throughout the time we spent working together. She is creative, quick, responsive, attentive, professional and the most charming person you will every work with. Just read her blog. She knows how to add just enough flair to keep things current and fresh without going over-the-top. She not only has great ideas and creates gorgeous designs, she is an excellent stylist and photographer - an overall creative powerhouse! I've had the most wonderful experience working with Megan and her team at Mae Mae Paperie on our wedding invitations. I cannot recommend her enough. It was great to work with a vendor who is so creative, thoughtful, and fun. At the earliest stages of wedding planning, I was unsure how to handle stationary. We could afford something more than Paper Source, but not the price tag that often came with custom stationary / letterpress. The Mae Mae Collection was perfect for us; it gave us a great custom look without the custom price tag. I fell in love with Megan's work on Pinterest actually (especially her stamps), and it turned out, she works closely with our event coordinators, Beau and Arrow, so I knew it would be a good fit. As far as designing the invitations, Megan was fantastic to work with throughout the entire process. I am a difficult client who had a very specific vision for what I wanted, but didn't have the time, energy, or creative talent to create it myself. Megan was able to handle me, my ideas, and concerns with grace. In particular, I struggled with colors. I didn't want our wedding to look too matchy-matchy or like a teenage girl's bedroom, but also didn't want to exclude color altogether so that our decor lacked layer and nuance. We struggled to find the right colors in the first few proofs, and I reached out to Megan with my concerns. I wasn't sure if we'd be able to find the right colors for our wedding stationary, and shared my disappointment with her. Megan stepped in and managed this issue with grace and care. We had screen share meetings where we could actually scroll through the different colors options and iterate quickly. This was hugely important to the success of our suite, and Megan went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy. Our invitations are absolutely stunning, and we've had such a good experience that we're hiring MaeMae for reception pieces (menus, ceremony programs, etc.) Also, Megan is adorable, gets excited about you and your husband, and has the kind of laugh that will instantly destress you, which is really wonderful because it turns out that wedding planning can actually be really stressful (why did no one tell me this!?). I also recommend getting lots of Megan's stamps! They are very fun for the wedding, and then you use them long-term which feels really nice when most of the stuff that you buy / wear / use for the wedding will likely end up in a closet. Again, I highly recommend working with Mae Mae. It is great to see such a talented and smart young woman build such a successful small business, and I look forward to working with Megan in the future on Christmas cards, custom personalized stationary, etc (true evidence of a happy client!). read more

Since I feel that my experience is still valid, I'm going to leave up my previous review. But, I wanted to update my review by saying that for the trouble I went through Megan sent me a complimentary set of thank you notes. I appreciate the gesture. The cards would have been more helpful in July (when we got married) rather than 8 months later (when she sent me the cards), but it was nice of her just the same. read more

As a stylist working in the fashion industry in New York City, having a business card that reflected an elevated aesthetic was very important to me.
