Usually my mother in law spends Mother's Day with her "girls". When my wife was talking with her mom on Saturday, she found out something fell through and she wouldn't be spending time with the "girls" on Sunday. So we came up with a quick plan. To start our plan, we needed to get flowers. Being kind of stubborn, I said we are not getting mama flowers from some grocery store. So as we continued to find that each flower shop that we looked at was either closed on Sunday or opened late on Sunday, the grocery store option was becoming more of a reality. Then we found Market Flowers. Fresh cut flowers at the Mpls Farmers Market and they opened at 7:00am. So we were up early and on our way to Mpls. We arrived around 7:30am and we were clearly not the only folks in the market for some flowers on Mother's Day. They had a wide selection of flowers and plants. They were friendly and helpful and in no time at all, we had our fresh cut flowers and were on our way. Mama was not only surprised, she loved her flowers. Mission accomplished.
