I submitted a notice to the seller using their web process. I explained that I was not a local and would be returning home to my state the next day and asked what my options were. To date I have had no response. My friends and I visit Seattle annually and always venture into places of interest like Adored, but I will make sure that we do not go there again. I feel that my concern was valid and should have been acknowledged, but at this late date I'm sure the owner did not consider how important word of mouth is and didn't feel a response was warranted. I'm tired of going to boutiques simply because they are closer to me. Adored Boutique is an hour and a half drive, and I would MUCH RATHER go here than Hoity Toity in Smokey Point. Her claim that I was "going through her personal belongings behind the counter" is completely ridiculous and utterly false. The items in question were sitting directly ON TOP of the main sales counter, thrown into a disorganized pile in plain view of anyone entering the shop. If these were truly your "personal, not-for-sale belongings," why on earth were they left piled up on a public retail counter? This is a desperate, made-up excuse to cover up your hostile and completely unprofessional behavior. Furthermore, you did not "politely explain" anything. You repeatedly snapped a single word at me: "NO!" - treating me like a dog that had wandered into your yard rather than a human being and a customer. Even if you're not into fabric, this is a fun spot to wander through with its variety of prints, colors, and textures. The fabric has been so carefully and thoughtfully curated, I can tell a lot of love and thought went into this shop. In addition to fabric, they carry thread, notions, patterns, and books. There's even a little classroom area in the back, with sewing machines ready to learn and create on. I can't wait to take a class! And the service at this family-owned business is unrivaled. I was there during their grand opening, and even though they were incredibly busy I was able to get my fabric cut and paid for quickly.
