I brought in a pair of motorcycle pants that were way to big on me. They are made of ballistic nylon and can't be altered the way a regular pair of pants can be taken in. They were also very expensive and non-returnable. The tailor figured out a way to add some loops at the waist so I could use an existing hook mechanism to cinch up the pants enough that they fit properly and weren't falling down. Her solution was very clever and also inexpensive. She saved me from having to throw the pants away or try to sell them. She has also altered several suits for me and does very high quality work. read more

I'm very protective of my jeans. As I spend about $200 per pair, I don't just trust anyone with my Paige jeans. After reading Raelee W.'s review, I decided to give Euro Tailor a chance. I am so happy that I did. All I needed was simple hemming, but the lady spent lots of time in the fitting room asking me questions so that the length would be perfect. I brought them in on Wednesday and they were ready today (Saturday) as promised. I could not be happier with what she did! Also, I used to pay $30 (plus tax) for hemming at Nordstrom. Today, I only paid $10 (plus tax)! At Euro Tailor, I received excellent workmanship and better service and only paid 1/3 of what I used to pay at Nordstrom! Euro Tailor has all of my future business for sure. Another reviewer seems to have had a problem with the lady. Everyone is entitled to their own experience. That said, I don't mean to undermine her experience. What I can do is to share my own as it could not be more different. I spoke with the lady on the phone, brought in my jeans, and pick them up. Each time, she was pleasant and very nice. As you can see I've written all kinds of reviews: positive, negative, and less than perfect ones. Don't know if we just caught her on a bad day but she was very annoyed and snapped at me when I asked a few questions about the alterations she was going to make. Galina is an excellent tailor who works hard to do a great job for her clients. She helped me tailor 3 blouses that were formerly dresses and she did a great job with that. I did not have to spend a long time explaining what I needed. She also made a pattern for me out of a well-fitting pair of pants so that she can make custom pants for me with the same cut. Took a denim dress and some vintage Levi's to be tailored and was not disappointed. She had them ready within a week, and the alterations exceeded expectations. The taper on the jeans is just right, and the dart that she added to the chest area of the dress is perfectly fitted and extremely subtle. Pricing was also totally reasonable. I've been to Euro Tailor twice in the past couple of months to fix a garment that had been giving me trouble, and seeing as it was a special garment to me I didn't want to take it to just anybody, so after doing some research I decided to take it here. I have never felt more degraded and insulted by a store employee than I did with Euro tailor. To be honest, It really shocked me. The experience started out so well. It was my first experience with a tailor ever and she was friendly and made suggestions to me for how to have my dress tailored. My dress fit pretty well before bringing it in and I was originally only planning on having it shortened a bit. Per her advice, I also decided to bring it in a little bit around the middle. All was well... until it wasn't. When I came to pick up my dress it was too small. As soon as I told her that, her whole demeaner changed. Instead of considering that she may have possibly made a mistake she threw insults my way. She told me I must have gained a ton of weight (I hadn't). She told me that she never suggested bringing the dress in around the middle. (She had) She even told me that it must have just been too small before I brought it in. ( It wasn't) She made me feel fat, was basically calling me a liar, and shifted blame to everyone but herself. To be honest, I originally wasn't upset when the dress had been tailored too small. I figured it was no big deal, we would get it fixed, and everything would be good to go. After that experience though, I wanted to yell, I wanted to cry, and I could hardly look at her. When she made up more excuses I just stopped responding because I knew she wouldn't listen to anything I was saying. I am so disappointed and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless the owner really considers how they treat their customers when things don't go according to plan. read more
