Mind you I had never been here or shopped here before I couldn't believe how gracious they were! Not to mention I had a friendly dog hanging around as I was building the box! So rad! The next time I had to sell some of my gear to pay a bill and the guy working in the gear section could feel my pain and gave me a really solid deal that he really didn't have to! This place is special In Bellingham and the people who work here have to be the best spirited team in any shop around town. He loved it and said they dry the skin well and swears by them while traveling. I started looking for them and found it recently, so I purchased two (I lose a lot of stuff during my travels). Though I have had it for a few weeks, will start using it tonight so I can review it. I do know it folds very thin and small so it's great for a light traveler like myself. I already have quite a few clothing items made of microfiber and love it as it dries almost faster than fast, and is very soft and comfortable! UPDATE: I showered last night with the towel and it IS very absorbing, too much in fact! It felt strange to be drying the skin with a towel so THiN but of course, I've been in some hotels recently that had towels even thinner and didn't even do the job well! How difficult is it to remove water from the skin? Other than the sensation you're drying with a tissue, it was very effective and can't wait to use it in actual travel mode when I get back to the terminals/airports. This model came with its own carrying bag, a net-breathing bag for toiletries too ~ very handy indeed!!! I just washed it even and it feels a bit softer but looks the same: thin and velvet-soft. What actually happened was my husband found approximately everything he has ever wanted. Jackets, gear, "ooh look at this" items, suddenly it was less holiday shopping and more Yeagers-sponsored shopping spree for him. And honestly? I'm not mad about it. Because now I know exactly what Santa is bringing him (Great job, Santa. Nailed it.) We did successfully shop for the people we came in for...one lucky person is getting a Yeagers gift card (which honestly feels like a win for everyone). I also found the cutest raincoat ever, cowboys, cows, and horses, plus matching rain boots, BOTH marked down. I mean come on. Instant joy. In the process, doggie mangled the zipper and chewed a hole in one of the pockets. While at Backcountry Essentials (also in Bellingham) I was reminded of Larrabee Gear Works and gave them a call. I got a quote to fix the zipper that was less than buying another new pack, plus the pack was otherwise in perfect condition and felt wasteful to just buy another one out of convenience. The turnaround was way faster than anticipated and you can't tell there was ever any damage. The repair even included the hole in the pocket. I mean wow. Somewhere I read that my item may be returned in better condition than received. In this case, I can verify that to be true. Seriously, it may be more convenient to buy a new thing, but by doing the environment a solid you're also helping some local folks make a living at their business.
