I started going to this studio as I went through a really difficult time in my life. The studio provides more than a workout. It's a healing space. Amanda, the owner, is an amazing person. The studio has gone through some transitions and has upheld its quality and integrity through those times. The instructors are positive, and the workouts are varied, challenging, and fun. I highly recommend this studio to locals as well as visitors, and to anyone who is new to Pilates. read more

I had such a wonderful experience at Madre Maui Pilates! The studio has a welcoming atmosphere, and the classes are challenging while still being accessible and enjoyable. A special shout-out to Tracy, who was an amazing instructor. She was attentive, encouraging, and made sure everyone had proper form while offering modifications when needed. You can tell she genuinely cares about her clients and wants everyone to get the most out of the class. I highly recommend Madre Maui Pilates, and especially taking a class with Tracy. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Maui! read more

This is such a great studio. I've been coming for 2 years. The staff are nice, knowledgeable and fun! After 3 weeks of Pilates every other day, my hip is no longer bothering me. The same thing happened once to my shoulder. All the stretching and muscle build up is really the key! read more

I felt compelled to write this review because my experience at Madre Maui was truly that good. I'm a Pilates instructor myself, and whenever I travel I love taking classes at different studios. I started at Madre and absolutely loved it--the classes were thoughtful, challenging, welcoming, and incredibly well taught. During my trip I took class at Form, a nearby studio, and the contrast really highlighted how special Madre is. The instruction at Form felt cold and rigid, like the class was being taught to a predetermined plan rather than to the actual bodies in the room. I returned to Madre the very next day and stayed there for the rest of my trip. What stood out most at Madre was how naturally the instructors read the room. The teaching was knowledgeable without feeling clinical, intentional not rigid, and challenging while still allowing people to move like individuals. There's a warmth and ease to the studio that you simply can't manufacture. It's easy to find a Pilates class. It's much harder to find excellent instruction and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere in the same place. Madre has both. I'll absolutely be back every time I'm on Maui. read more

My friend and I had the best time at Madre Maui! We took the Barresque class with Roxy and it was absolutely wonderful. We were visiting from California and I wanted to kick off my birthday with a good workout and this class was the perfect way to do it. I'm not very experienced with the reformer, but Roxy explained everything clearly and made me feel totally comfortable. The mix of barre and Pilates was such a fun class. I loved every minute and would definitely recommend it to anyone read more

It is kind of difficult to put into words all that Madre is.  Amanda has created a unique environment built on human dignity, and you feel it in every aspect of the studio.  Every tiny detail has been clearly lovingly and carefully chosen to support every body that comes into the room.  Signs that let you know that you matter, that you are seen and loved as a fellow human, and that guide us all toward honoring our shared humanity as an important part of the practice.   I am big into accessible spaces, because it's one of the last things that really ever gets considered.  At all. Or it's an afterthought.  Accessibility is better for everyone.  And Amanda has thought of everyone.  The studio is set up to be physically maneuverable and the gentle lighting and other thoughtful sensory inputs make the environment remarkably inclusive. This studio is also super fun and SO joyful!  All of the instructors have their own really incredible personalities that they infuse into their classes, and I love how much that's honored as well. Every class is truly a unique delight.  And if you are feeling intimidated at all, just know that this is one of the least intimidating places to learn pilates.   If you are questioning whether to go, just go!  Go and try out a class.  Amanda does a great job of noting on the schedule which classes are good for beginners. Thank you to Amanda, Roxy, Tracy, and Kris for all you do to maintain this welcoming, inclusive, joyful, magical space! read more

If I could rate this place a million stars, I would! I truly loved my experience. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this Pilates studio in Maui. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed, supported, and completely at ease. The space is clean, inviting, unique, fun and filled with such positive energy and even more amazing people. The instructors are top-notch--so knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely passionate about what they do. You can tell they put extreme thought into their cueing, for every exercise. They took the time to adjust movements to fit my level and pushed me just enough to feel challenged but never overwhelmed. As an instructor, it felt so good to be a student again. I left every class feeling stronger, more aligned, and totally refreshed. There's a huge parking lot and great eateries near by. The prices of classes are reasonable and they offer a wide variety of classes for all levels. Whether you're a local or just visiting the island, this studio is a must. It was such a beautiful part of my Maui experience, and I can't wait to come back. Mahalo Amanda, Roxy and Maui Madre for helping me feel amazing inside and out. read more

This review is long overdue. My husband and I visit Maui every year, and one of our absolute must-dos is scheduling a private Pilates class with Amanda. It's become a tradition we genuinely look forward to. The studio itself is beautiful--so clean, calm, and inviting the moment you walk in. The atmosphere immediately puts you at ease. Amanda is incredibly knowledgeable and truly gifted at what she does. She takes the time to understand our individual abilities and thoughtfully tailors each session to meet us where we are, while still challenging us in the best way. We're so grateful to Amanda, not only as an instructor but as the studio owner. Thank you for creating such a welcoming, intentional space--it's clear how much care and heart you've put into it. Every class feels supportive, empowering, and thoughtfully guided. We always leave feeling stronger, more balanced, and already counting down until our next visit. read more

I LOVE this studio. My favorite class is Rage, followed by Tower. The instructors are empathic and unbelievably knowledgeable. I love that they take the time during class to explain the functionality behind every movement and how it's applicable to day-to-day life. I've been with Madre Maui for over 1 year. I started attending as a visitor, now I'm a resident on Maui and continue supporting Amanda's homegrown business. I've been to studios throughout California and NONE compare to the thoroughness of Madre Maui. Besides the instructors being knowledgeable and the pleasant aesthetic of the studio, I love their focus on inclusivity. As a woman with a disability from a traumatic brain injury brought on my domestic violence, it means the world to me that they truly mean what they say re: holding space for wellness. read more

I've been taking private Pilates classes for the past two years following a serious lower back and shoulder injury, and I've worked with several studios based on my location. Amanda and Roxy are by far the best instructors I've had--both have excellent knowledge of anatomy and are extremely attentive to making sure I'm doing the right movements for my injuries. I've been going daily since Fall 2024, and it never gets old. I highly recommend Madre Maui. read more

Madre Maui is hands down the best Pilates studio on Maui. From the moment you walk in, the space feels warm, inviting, and clean. It's a place where you instantly feel at ease and motivated to move. Amanda, Tracy and Roxy are incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely care about each client, they have the best jokes too! They take the time to ensure your form is correct, helping you get the most out of every single movement. Their personalized attention makes all the difference, it's like having a private coach in a small class setting. I go at least five times a week, and it has become the highlight of my day. It's more than just a workout it's an investment in my physical and mental well-being. Since starting, I feel noticeably stronger, my balance and stability have improved, and I carry myself with more confidence! I can't recommend Madre Maui highly enough! read more

My first Pilates studio experience! I signed up for the unlimited intro month to start. After almost one month of going 3-4 times a week, I am very inclined to incorporate Pilates into my life. It's a maximum 7 people class so you still get the attention and advice from lovely instructors Amanda and Roxy. Super helpful when you're new. I love the cooling towels at the end of each class. Also, Madre offers aide to locals which is amazing and immensely thoughtful. read more

I took three classes at Madre Maui while vacationing nearby and truly wish it were my home studio. I bought a 3-class package during my stay, and next time I'll definitely book further in advance and get even more classes in. Amanda was my instructor for all three classes and she's fantastic--her teaching style is unique, incorporating physiology terms in a way that clearly reflects her deep understanding of Pilates and the body. The studio is beautiful, and the machines are incredible--I wish all studios had equipment like this! If I lived in Maui, I'd be here all the time. Thank you for welcoming me! read more

Where do I even begin with this place, but more importantly, the people?! From the moment you walk into the studio, you are greeted with the kindest smiles and warmest energy. As someone who came in with ZERO Pilates experience, to say I felt intimidated was an understatement! But that all changed less than 5 minutes into our first class. Amanda is amazing and makes you feel so comfortable. She takes her time explaining and demonstrating steps, and words it in ways that people like me can understand. Lol. Her classes are fun, engaging and definitely leave you with a burn that feels so good! (both from the workout and the laughter ) And while I am still no Pilates expert, her classes have now become something I look forward to-Not only for the amazing workout I know I'm going to get, but because I know when I leave there, I am fueled physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. She brings out this crazy non-apologetic feminine energy in you that I can't explain, but love so much; and desperately need in this time of life! And the studio!?!? Oh my! It has to be one of the most beautiful spots I have been in. The ambience, the vibes, the colors, the decor... Amanda took her time in EVERY detail of that place, and it shows! Not only is it amazing aesthetically, but the cleanliness is top-notch! Everything in there is clean, and organized (not something you get everywhere unfortunately) But she takes pride in her business, and it shows! Whether you are in Napili, or not; I would HIGHLY recommend making your way there! I promise, you will not be disappointed! read more

The coolest pilates studio i've ever been to! But what's even cooler is the instructor/owner, Amanda! She made me feel so welcome during my visit. I bought the 5 class pack and was fortunate enough to try almost all of the classes (Tower was my favorite!). I can't wait to come back during my next visit! read more
