She needed ballet shoes, tap shoes, a light pink leotard, and a specific brand of light pink tights. As a former dancer, this was a special day for so many reasons! Aside from my baby being excited, I couldn't wait to see her in her first pair of ballet shoes. Denise at The Dance Bag was so helpful! There was only one other dancer in the shop, so we were able to get started right away. She sized my daughter for ballet shoes, and we found a pair that fit just right. We ended up ordering tap shoes to make sure we got the kind we needed (velcro), and I'll be picking those up in the next week or so. She had a perfect leotard and pair of tights, and my daughter even picked out a sparkly pointe shoe to put on the zipper of her dance bag. I was trying to not go into the day with high expectations (nothing is guaranteed when you're with a 3.5 year old!) but it ended up being the most special hour picking out new shoes and starting a new adventure. Thanks to The Dance Bag, it was everything I had been dreaming of and more.

She knows every aspect because she was a PROFESSIONAL DANCER! I've performed in many different cities and can confirm STL is VERY lucky to be so spoiled.

Or maybe I'm just not running enough?! I've always worn Hokas, but lately they haven't been getting the job done. I was interested in something new but had no idea where to start, so I knew it was time for a visit to Fleet Feet. The staff is always extremely helpful. They don't try to push things on you... everything is about a zillion dollars anyway, so whatever shoes you buy, they're making a great sale! They always seem focused on helping me find what's right for me at the time. On my latest visit, I was fitted in a pair of Cloud Surfers and I'm so happy with the change! Oh, and the best part about this store is that you can try your shoes and return them within SIXTY DAYS if they aren't the perfect option. That's pretty incredible! This isn't a spot I need too often, but when I do, I am never disappointed. I will always make this my stop for my running needs!

Customer service is pretty self-serve, but they were busy so one can't expect totally personalized attention. If they have it, it's on the racks. Everything is clean and well-organized, though. Bogo sales are final, but he provided a gift receipt when I told him the shoes were for someone else who doesn't make it out there too often. The person loves the shoes, but due to a foot issue, they were a little tight on her, so she actually came to the store and moved up a size (and had to pivot to different colors) on her subsequent visit. I'm so glad the employee offered the gift receipt. Had he not, we'd be stuck with some shoes that couldn't be worn and we'd be reluctant to try the Merrell Outlet again. Now we're fans!
