Dropped off two suits to be dry cleaned last week and happy with the customer service and quality of the wash. Let me preface this review by mentioning that I am in the 40+ age group and my mother has been working in the corporate world since I was a child so I've been to many dry cleaners. As a child I went to the dry cleaners with my mother, as a teenager/adult I went to the dry cleaners for my mother. I even dated someone for a LONG time who worked at a dry cleaners (my mother loved that-lol). It has been a part of my life for so long that I feel I can make an educated comment on a good or bad dry cleaner. I try not to go to the dry cleaners that much anymore as I know dry cleaning is not the best for the environment but a lot of cleaners are trying their best to be aware and I know for sure that this dry cleaner is one of them. If they were not then I would not go there. I have to say that they have always been super polite, they have treated my clothes with care, and they have removed a few stains with ease. I had one leather jacket altered there and they did a great job that I will be bringing two other of my leather jackets there. Plus, they are not insanely overpriced. Everybody has different experiences but all of the experiences I've ever had there have been spot on perfect and personally I will continue to use them when in need. New owner was trained by previous owner, so great knowledge transfer to folks interested in giving the place a fresh coat of paint and implementing environmental improvements to make this place as BY THE BOOK and even GREEN as possible. read more

Madison Square Cleaner's changed ownership within the last few years and while the quality of the cleaning has stayed the same, the service has deteriorated and the prices have gone up. A big no-no for me occured on my last visit when I brought a coupon from a local Entertainment Coupon book and the woman working the desk refused to take my coupon. I needed my suit cleaned very soon so I had no choice but to pay, but that experience has convinced me to look elsewhere for my cleaning needs. read more

Screw this place - and especially the guy who "helped" me. Over priced and rude - never going back.

The only reason I stop here is because it's close to my house and on my way to work. I've been meaning to try a different dry cleaner but I'm too lazy. They do an okay job cleaning and pressing my lab coats for work, I just feel like they're expensive. My three lab coats and one of my husband's sweaters was $26. Maybe that's the usual price everywhere, I don't really know. I've gotten some alterations done and buttons repaired on my coat and it's been quality work. read more

I have been going to Madison Square Cleaners for over ten years and have always received professional and excellent service and quality. Both owners are tremendously courteous, accommodating, and honestly have developed deep relationships with my family and others that visit their store regularly. The same owners have been in business for well over 20 years and the community they service knows them well. Their prices have been and still are very competitive. Unlike other cleaners that I had frequented, I have never received back clothing with broken buttons, new stains, etc. There are very few businesses that I regularly refer to my friends, and Madison Square Cleaners is definitely one of them. I've been a customer of Madison Square Cleaners for over 20 years. In all of that time they have never lost a single shirt. They haven't raised prices in at least ten years. I tried several other cleaners before I found Madison Square Cleaners, but none of them could even come close to Madison Square Cleaners. The owner Paul has been taking care of my shirts since 1994.
