I was delivering groceries to a disabled resident living in an ADA-accessible apartment during the evening after the leasing office had already closed. The resident instructed me to park in the "Future Resident" parking area because nearby street parking was completely full and there appeared to be no reasonable guest parking available. I was away from my vehicle only long enough to walk from the keypad entrance, through the property, up the elevator, and deliver three bags of groceries to the resident on the second floor. By the time I returned, my car was already hooked up to a tow truck. When I ran over to explain the situation, I was told I had to immediately pay $100 or my car would be taken to the tow yard. I explained I was assisting a disabled resident and had only been gone for a few minutes, but there was no flexibility or warning given. The signage regarding towing was not clearly visible when entering the property at night, especially compared to the much brighter and more noticeable leasing office signage. The leasing office was closed at the time, and there did not appear to be adequate parking for the size of the community. It honestly felt like tow trucks actively monitor the area waiting for someone to park briefly. In addition, the hallways had a strong odor of animal urine during my visit. I encourage future residents and visitors to be extremely cautious about parking policies here and to fully understand where guests are allowed to park before stopping, even briefly.

After looking for months at many different apartments, I stumbled my way to Lexington on Central. My first thought was that these must be condos as they have a condo feel to them. With further investigation I discovered they were apartments for rent. After looking at what Lexington on Central had to offer, to my relief, my search was over. This gated, Clean & quiet complex was just what I was looking for. Yes, super quiet, right in the middle of uptown Phoenix. The complex has a weight room, spa, pool and an entertainment facility that you can rent for parties. Lexington on Central is also just steps away from the Light Rail. If you are looking for bargain accommodations , these will not be for you as rents are spendy. Spendy or not, sometimes you do get what you pay for.

The lack of communication and ongoing safety concerns have made this a very disappointing living experience. They upper management at the Lex also did not look into our situation. Upper management waited 60+ days for us to move out to respond and acted like they never saw my multiple emails, even though everyone was CC'd in the emails. They have no customer service at all especially when it comes to upper management. Would not recommend living here at all!!

It's a 1 bedroom and the layout is very open and spacious and even has a kitchen island. I'm not sure if all units have the big bathtubs, but mine did and I thought it was awesome. You don't see those in apartments very often. -As with most of Phoenix, the surrounding neighborhood is pretty hit or miss. Don't be deterred by the gas station across the street or the unsavory complex next door, this complex is a safe and quiet place to live. -The complex is very quiet, or at least over by my building it was. My unit was also on a corner so I had no neighbors on one side. The only time there was ever noise was Saturday nights. Building 7 is next to a residential street and my balcony overlooked the backyards of people who would have loud parties on the weekends. But hey, it was Saturday night so most of the time I was either not home or also partying so this didn't bother me at all. -The grounds are very well-maintained. Walking down the main driveway is very nice. It looks like a little village. The gym is small and could use a little more equipment but it definitely gets the job done. Cons: -There is no grace period for rent. If you happen to forget to pay on the first, you are charged a $50 late fee (that's just for one day late) and your ability to pay online is revoked so you have to go and get a cashier's check, which of course takes time and costs even more money. I think this is a Greystar policy, as every other complex I have lived usually has a 1-3 day grace period. I ended up in this situation only once while living here, and it was especially crappy because at the time I worked 10 hour shifts 7:30 am-6 pm) for State Farm Thursday through Saturday as well as Monday. I had to get out of work early on a Thursday in order to go to the bank because otherwise I would have had to wait until Tuesday, my day off, to pay what would have surely been a ridiculous fee by then. Shit happens sometimes and people should be allowed at least a one day grace period. -The pool is visually appealing and nice but it's honestly not very relaxing. There are only lounge chairs on one side of the pool and it's the side by the walkway to get to the gym, package room, and front office. This area is heavily trafficked by both residents and front office employees who walk by constantly, rattling keys, struggling with the pool gate and talking on the phone. You can also hear people trying to get in the front gate, which entails the machine calling the resident and you overhearing their whole conversation, buttons being pushed, and people getting frustrated when they can't get in. It made me a little anxious. I know there is no room for them, but chairs on the other side of the pool away from the hustle and bustle would be nice. Also note the pool is not a place to party, it's definitely more for families who will take up the all of the chairs and occupy the pool stairs (which are only on one side) so if you are not in their party, you will be left to perch alone by the deep end, feet dangling into the water until you finally decide to leave. -The corner units don't have sliding doors or screens, so forget about enjoying the weather in the winter months unless you want your pet to escape or bugs in your apartment from opening the balcony doors. Minor cons aside, this is a great place to live and I would definitely consider living at this complex again once I relocate back to Phoenix...provided I can afford it since prices seem to keep going endlessly up.

(the third transition since I have been there) So one day in late August, early September of 2025, I called and asked if they could clean the carpets because they were really dirty when I moved in there were clear dirt marks upon moving in but I didn't complain even though it really upset my allergies etc, and they said no they don't, but I can pay to get them cleaned myself. The carpets were soooo bad when my mom came to visit she said she would even call and ask if they would clean them...I said to her, no thank you. Anyway fast forward, I was in the process of a move out because my lease was up and not only did they try to give me an ILLEGAL eviction/5 day notice, the office (Madeline Thombs) was caught doing clearly Illegal housing law violations. The reason I am even writing to you is because you need to know about management at 4225. I was specifically told by their manager Madeline Thombs not to go to court the day of because it was cancelled, and she said she cancelled it ( I'm like how do YOU cancel court the day of? u aren't the court system or a judge??) and BOB, if I hadn't gone anyway to COVER MYSELF, I would currently have an eviction on my record with this predatory ass company & complex of yours and and be out of thousands of dollars and have my credit go down etc. Greystar was in violation for even trying to fine me in late fees etc, The "case" was thrown out by the judge and dismissed. Not only did they try to charge me over $800 in fees for court etc and they tried to keep my $350.00 full deposit and return only $76.00 of it. Blaming me for your dirty carpets when I moved in. Not only did I feel discriminated against, by Madeline and Audrey but they were going out of their way to make sure I paid something to the residences at 4225 upon my exit and be predatory purposely because I won court. Anytime I had to go in the office to speak to "management" there was a constant attitude upon my in-person communication with Audrey AND mainly Madeline Thombs. The time had FINALLY come for me to move and I thoroughly cleaned out the apartment and left nothing dirty, or not on its original condition upon my arrival and I took pictures AND video for proof..... Unfortunately, I was charged a re-painting fee of $120, a heavy cleaning required fee of $165, a required carpet cleaning fee of $60.00 and a smell treatment fee of $75.00 there were none. After these applied fees, I was sent an email stating my return amount is $76.00. Thankfully I have moved on to bigger and better but if you can, please don't rent with Greystar OR the Residences at 4225, the managers are terrible. The apartments are secure in separate enclosed buildings and the neighborhood is really nice. The best part for me, though is the management. Josh and Sheena go out of their way to help every resident. They have just the right type of dispositions for this business. I'm also paying $500 less than my previous place in Scottsdale. Even after moving out due to relocation, the customer service continues to be amazing. I recently contacted them almost two years after moving out and spoke with Ferman about something I needed assistance with. Ferman quickly agreed to help me and within 20 minutes, had sent over the information and forms that I requested. My entire experience with Proxy was and continues to be positive. I have tons of natural light and can even see the sunset from my apartment! The entire building is new. Everything is literally so clean (even the trash room smells good LOL). It's a non smoking building so that's a plus! The leasing staff puts together a ton of "events" for the residents. Like catered food for first Friday, smoothies every Thursday, movie rental, etc. oh and you can even rent a bike (free). The mail room is also great. You can pick up a package at any hour of the day (3am if you want) because of the Parcel Pending service they have. Super convenient...you just type in your code and boom, your package is there. Perfect location. Walking distance to so many restaurants and coffee/tea shops. As well as first Friday is literally a block away if even. Pool area is super cute...rooftop is nice too. Have proof of paperwork. Sent me an email saying that I broke the lease. And charging me more than court orders. I also have the court papers saying that . Virginia decided to reinstate my lease and not take the other payments. Please do not rent here. They will screw you over. There are other better apartment complexes. This place will mess with your residency score. Updated: as of March 8th of 2025. Still have the email. Which is not fair. I have proof statement about Virginia denying my payment after we had an agreement before court. I will post more updates later.
