They allowed me to interact with the animals it was such an emotional and wonderful experience. Megan is the young lady that helped me at the end when I adopted a 4year old caleco cat named Purrsy who is an amazing cat a little shy but she is slowly /coming out of her shell. I am in love with her. So if you want a great experience to adopt a dog, cat, rabbit whatever it maybe St. Huberts in Madison NJ is the place to go. Also thank you to the staff at Buddy's boutique they were also amazing. Thank You Giulia

This is hands-down the best animal shelter in the area, perhaps even the nicest one in NJ. The word…read more"shelter" really does not do it justice - rather, it is truly a center based on animal needs. It is a huge facility with a lot of resources, and most employees and volunteers are knowledgeable and genuinely happy to help because of their love for animals. I've worked mostly with the cats at St. Huberts, and while I haven't adopted, I have fostered a handful of times. (A great way to get involved, especially if you're not sure that you want to commit to a pet.) There is a huge support system for fosters like me, and they will even provide you with materials to get you started such as food and litter. If you're interested in animals, it's worth it come out and support this shelter. They're happy to take volunteers if you can't adopt!

After 3 trips to Elite I now understand the "bait and switch" nature of this operation and am…read morerepulsed by the arrogant Soviet-style attitude thrown in for good measure. The largely unregulated pet grooming industry is a perfect hiding place for such scams. I have pulled back my earlier 4 star review and would give Elite a zero if I could. We will never return. It seems to us that the owner trades on her reputation in the show dog world and gives you a quality "first cut" but then pushes less skilled help on customers in her absence. Meanwhile, her minions do a terrible job afterwards, make up all sorts of silly excuses for their failures (usually blame the customers) but continue to charge owner prices. Olga (is she really the owner -- still unsure) has a reputation in the Bichon world as a groomer, owner of show dogs and most recently as a judge. Her reputation precedes her and she prominently displays various awards and show dog photographs on the walls of her tiny house operation in Madison. This display leaves the impression of a first rate business where you can rightly trust that the results will always be to show dog standards. NOT SO! On our first trip, Olga met with me in person but later disclosed that she merely "supervised" her expatriate crew -- and did not do the cut herself. I was reasonably happy with the result so did not complain -- but left feeling a bit annoyed by her unexpected priciness (higher than quoted) and her insistence that my dog be groomed monthly or else she will have to clip him short and/or charge much more for the service. I do not take well to this sort of bullying, but still felt the quality of the first cut was worth the hassle and booked my return appointment with her in advance. MISTAKE! I now see that my opinion of the first service was colored somewhat by my favorable impression of Olga's overall professional credentials. When I returned for my next appointment, Olga's minion (Sophia) greeted me and told me Olga was out of town (in Las Vegas) but that she worked for her, was skilled and would handle the cut professionally. NOT! She butchered our dog and over charged for the service. When I complained afterwards, she booked me for a guaranteed appointment with Olga. To add insult to injury, Olga's staff cancelled my follow-up appointment at the last minute while I was en route to the groomer -- merely saying (unapologetically) that Olga will not be in and not to come. It takes a lot of nerve to play such parlor games with folks who spend half a day traveling to and from the groomer and wait the better part of three hours to have the grooming completed. I know that the show dog world can be a sycophantic place, where egos rule the roost and politics plays a huge role in who gets serviced and how that service is delivered. That said, this sort of exploitation of regular folk who merely take pride in their dogs grooming is inexcusable. This experience helps me understand why a licensing act for groomers in NJ (e.g. Bijou's bill) is probably a good idea and I will advocate for that change in the hope that licensing will create better accountability.

I found Dana & Zoom N Groom on Yelp, inquired for more details, and heard back immediately. Within 2 hours of inquiring, I had an appointment scheduled for the following week and had painlessly texted back and forth with Dana multiple times as she helped me get set up. We have had two grooming appointments so far and will continue to use Zoom N Groom for ever and ever! Here are some basic things to know about Dana and Zoom N Groom: * She LOVES what she does and takes a lot of pride in her business - as she should because she's the best AND her mobile grooming facility is pristine and high-tech. * She LOVES my Rosie so much and will love your dog too. How do I know? She sends me photos and videos of Rosie getting groomed in her van. She texts me later in the day and even the next day to check on Rosie's mood. She brainstorms new strategies on how she can help ease Rosie's grooming anxieties and shoots her ideas over to me so I can better prepare Rosie for grooming day. She has taken the time to get to know my dog and continues to personalize a grooming experience that fits Rosie's needs. * She is kind, patient, and infectiously positive. * Her service price points are unbeatable. * She is truly in it for the doggos and goes above and beyond in every way!

I discussed a few topics with a SEEMINGLY knowledgable gentleman at the cash register. I had an appointment up the road and came back after I was done. I had left a message with my dog's dermatologist regarding a supplement (Adored Beast) recommended by the salesman at Well Bred. I had some questions regarding antlers. My dogs had 2 different experiences from 2 different sources. The first pair of antlers broke after 2 or so weeks. The second pair never broke but have worn down significantly. I mentioned that the previous antlers were whole and approximately 7-8 inches long. He asked, "How large are the dogs?", "Are they aggressive chewers?" A puppy, 35 lbs..., and a 2-year-old, 55 lbs. They are aggressive chewers, in my opinion. The man suggested split antlers in the largest size, "more bang for the buck," he added. I happily paid the exorbitantly high price of $80 and change for the pair. Fortunately, I monitored them while they worked on the antlers. Approximately 10 minutes later, they had each broken huge, pointy shards off the antlers. This is not normal. The price aside, why would Well Bred sell something so potentially dangerous? Why would anyone be encouraged to buy something that could have very well landed my dogs in the emergency room? I called the next day and spoke to a woman I believe to be the manager. She apologized profusely and suggested maybe I should consider a more appropriate chew object for my dogs. Oh really? That's why I came to your store and had a lengthy discussion with your sales person. The last antlers I bought NEVER broke. I was told they are not supposed to. I no longer trust the advice of the sales help at Well Bred on any topic. The star is for a neat and clean store.
