The food is similar to how it's always been, the metal steam tables go 20 feet deep, with the line of food about 12 feet deep tapering off towards end. Seeing a full 20 feet would be too much goodness in one deli. I think the patrons would be blinded from the light. There's a good chance you'll see some workers drinking silly, many locals eating there, but I always take out. And I would imagine you would too. Of all those listed which I have tasted, I always wind up getting the grilled chicken wrap. This wrap is my favorite with only grilled onions, pickles, cheese. You can have it prepared any way you like to preferred taste, but this is generally the way I like it. The chicken is perfectly grilled to a tenderness with slight doneness and generously seasoned (not sure of what seasoning they use), adding grilled onions, a few bread and butter pickle chips which give it a little sweet and tanginess and layered with melted American cheese all wrapped in a pressed grilled flour tortilla. I will have it no other way, it is simple and goes down well with a mango flavored vitamin water (chew, gulp & burp). A local neighborhood deli that is worth giving a try. Good service to customers of all kinds, well known staff to almost everyone who frequently visits and is consistent with it's good food. Try it if you are passing or nearby.

I walked in and a guy hanging out opened the door from the inside, it turned out they guy is well mannered and wasn't a panhandler. I greeted the person at the cash register and he replied, I found my way through the narrow aisle, giving way to other respectable customers as they did in like manner for me. This is your regular Bodega, so that sums it up to what's inside; coffee, smoothies, sandwiches, etc, etc, etc,... I grabbed 2- 50oz bottles of Essentia. The were nice and cold. Took them to the register and I was surprised that they also had a sale on water of this size. Their promotion was 2 for $8. Eyes popping out. I repeated in a confirming tone $8, and the guy confirmed in a reassuring tone $8. I looked at him and thought in my mind, I need free water. I spoke a loud, I need to start drinking from the river. However, the one drawback that I seem to always have is that the chicken is somewhat chewy in the dishes I get. I know they are trying to cook fast to get people on their way, but I'm always nervous.
