I stopped in trying to find stuff for a costume and came up short, but was able to place an order that will arrive in a few days on the kiosk. It's a little sketchy in that anyone standing behind you can totally read all of your personal information, including your credit card number, but they'd have to be pretty ambitious to memorize it over your shoulder. One thing that drives me bonkers at Party City is their insistence on playing weird, Kidz Bop-style covers of songs instead of just a regular soundtrack. As a music nerd, it might as well be nails on a chalkboard for the duration. There is no party in soulless remakes of perfectly good pop tunes. Party City is a good stop if you need supplies built around specific colors, or are throwing a theme party (especially one for kids). For more creative endeavors, not so much, and their costume supplies are barely there in the non-Halloween seasons. If you're shopping last minute you may be left in the lurch (or rather left to go to that great mom & pop costume shop/pharmacy a few miles east your instincts told you to start at), but the kiosk is there for you if you've got some time.

They have plenty of supplied that meet many needs - i would hate to have to boycott such a valuable resource. For now, they are on probation with me. Be cautious - know the policies and ask questions if you think you may need to return something. They might not give you all the details without asking. Also, FYI, their Twitter account was responsive to complaints. They had replied to me, but after my return was handled. I don't think they played a part in it, but I appreciated their concern.

And what do I find but this amazing horror movie prop house actually open to the public! We were greeted right away with an overview of what was in the store. I asked him about taking pictures and it was OK on that visit to take pictures as long as we didn't aim through the shop because there were several confidential orders being worked on. Anyone can actually buy items from the store or from their website or place orders if they are interested in something special for spooky season. You could certainly find some items in the store that you won't find anywhere else!

I haven't been to this location for a year or so and today was the first time I had stellar customer service worthy of a review. The first associate I encountered was a guy stocking shelves with witchy decor, he was lovely and cheery, it was a good interaction, he seemed so nice. Then when I had fabric cut, both of the women at the counter were lovely and the one who cut my fabric was fast and also kind and lovely! I realized my fabric choice was on major sale $13 down to $5 per yard, and asked her if I could have the rest of the roll, which she enthusiastically helped me with. Truly the only downside was a grouchy lady who jumped me in line, but another customer and I chuckled it off. There were a bunch of places where prices were missing or same signs were up with no label for discount in them. But I would prefer kind customer service to everything being perfectly laid out. The crown jewel of the store was Annie, who was the brightest light of my 2 hour journey at Joann. Annie was funny, kind, interacted with me like we were friends, scanned everything while I grabbed a few reusable bags and then when I spotted another larger reusable bag up high I wanted on the other side of the registers, she went and reached up to get me a few of them. What a gal. Annie, don't ever change. You are making Joann a better place and my day is better for having interacted with you.

I had $30 worth of JoAnn gift cards to use that was a Christmas present from a friend. When I saw they were going out of business, I decided to go to the Janesville, WI location to use them and picked out $115.00 worth of products. I went to the checkout and myself and my husband and I were shocked that they wouldn't honor them!!! We told the clerk to take a little over half of my items back because the company accepted the money for the cards and wouldn't honor them. That is beyond unimpressive and is taking $ from purchased gift cards and not letting me use them. IT IS ROTTON AND COMPLETELY WRONG TO TREAT A LOyAL CUSTOMER LIKE MYSELF! I, iniitially, felt sad about the business closing and now I think they royally deserve it. Thiefs are running the organization and their prices went up atronomically! Return window closed before my item even shipped out? Makes tons of sense!…read more I ordered a costume on 10/22. I paid for expedited shipping to be delivered by 10/26.. It did not arrive until 10/30, 4 days after it was supposed to for expedited shipping. I also can't return it because the return window was closed before it arrived. Customer service was terrible. No refund, as their return window has already closed. BEFORE my order was even shipped out. Amazing.
