I heard they have some of the best crab Rangoon in the city, so you know I'd get over here…read moreeventually. (Actually, they are on the awesome crab Rangoon database, https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1QSQhg2_bTPApajJmPVewjtMe0A3QmIWnms3-CccL7vM/edit?gid=0#gid=0.) And my review is partly skewed toward that crab Rangoon, though I had a really good experience all in all. In a strip out front of Meijer, easy access and parking. Opens at 11 but they were open a bit before that today, which was nice. Super friendly and efficient service the whole way through. Dark inside but not gloomy; cozy. Lots on the menu, and I had a hard time deciding. Went with the Rangoon, of course, and a lunch special: 3 sushi rolls. That comes with soup or salad, and I had the miso soup, pretty darn good and with more tofu and seaweed than most. The crab Rangoon came out next and: oh my. Perfectly wrapped little packages of goodness. Beautifully plated, nicely made, and filled with cheese and a good amount of crab. Tasty, nice texture contrast between the filling and the thin crunchy shell, and served with a slightly-spicy homemade (I am guessing) sauce. Then the sushi trio. Again beautifully plated. I got eel and avocado, spicy tuna, and kani. The kani was my favorite, then the eel, then tuna. Best sushi around? Nah. But pretty good, and a really good deal. Fair sized rolls. Nicely made. The eel was tender and flavorful. The kani was good. Spicy tuna was just okay. I'll be back, for Rangoon and probably entrees. Out of my way, but glad I came today. Enjoyed the whole visit.

Went there for lunch, friend recommended…read more I went there once before, it said open at 11am, and...is not So this is the second time, giving them a second chance. First of all, if you never been here before, you just going to keep on driving, even tho is located in a plaza , big parking lot, but if you look at all businesses in the plaza, all are signs "open", welcoming, here? Is all super dark, windows are all cover, more like a sign saying "go away" we closed When I walked in, I just stood there, no one greeted me, no host by the front. One of the server saw me and told me to take a seat anywhere. I'm only there for lunch, so I look at the lunch menu. Now here is the thing. I believe every restaurant should only serve one type of food, meaning if you want to serve Chinese food, Chinese food only, if you want to serve Steak, Steak and Lobster only, don't do Thai and so Italian or Vietnamese and Gyro, this place is Chinese and...Thai, and they got a Mexican serving me, okay, is like so what are you? Friend of mine told me they also serve Vietnamese coffee, I asked, he said only Thai coffee, okay, no big deal. Ordered a drink, asked for a a straw, nope, don't have it, asked me if I want a to go cup, a restaurant don't have straw? Thats your only one job, order everything you need for the "restaurant". To me, that's a very poor management, because when you owing a business, you do not and never wait until everything is out to reorder, when ever your products are running low, not out, you reorder Poor experience

My usual locally owned Korean restaurant was closed today so I searched for another nearby Korean…read morerestaurant. I went to a chain called BIBIBOP Asian Grill nearby. This was my first visit to this chain. I walked in and saw it was a cafeteria setup. They had many choices but not my experience before which would be in Indianapolis and A-1 Win-burger across the street in Pickerington. But I am not reviewing that one. The one I am looking at was the closest one to me. I did decide to stay. In a cafeteria service setting I was disappointed but thought I would try it. I picked yellow rice, Kimchi, broccoli, Garbo beans and something resembling chicken. I only received a medium sized bowl and I received slightly more than a tablespoonful of Kimchi. I was so disappointed by the small amount of food AND the charge of $17 and my drink was water. So I didn't receive any additional help once I found a booth. The quality of the food was poor and the portions were not up to a charge of $17. I will wait for A-1 Win-burger to reopen on September 17. That one (Hill Road across from Capital Pain) is the only Korean restaurant I will patronize from now.

While my choices weren't "life-changing," I think if I had ordered better, it might have been a five-star experience. Service with a smile for our larger group, no complaints. I think our apps. might have been the best part of the meal, ESP. possibly the BEST crab rangoon I've had anywhere!! I was tempted by the special wonton dish, but it wound up being a creamy, alfredo-esque dish that I should have skipped, saving a few $$ and probably a calorie or 500!! My spicy noodle entree, which included chicken AND shrimp, and a few veg. was ok, but too salty. I am a HUGE fan of the Chinese spicy eggplant dish, which I **should** have ordered as my entree (rather than take it to go...) but it was WONDERFUL, and if I return, that is what I'll get. Wish SOMEPLACE here in the "Field of Springs" offered this... All in all a fine experience, well-worth the nearly 1 hr. drive to get there, for the company as well as the food. Super reasonable prices, friendly service, and old school eats... Yum!!

LOVED the food at Kay's, a food stall located inside the Saraga market on S. Hamilton Rd. Ms. Kay,…read morethe owner, is friendly and goes above and beyond to provide excellent service. I have to admit that ever since moving to Columbus 6 years ago, I've felt that great soul food is hard to come by here, but hers is definitely the exception! Came on a Sunday afternoon and tried the stuffed salmon combo. You are allowed to pick how many sides you want, and the price increases accordingly. I opted for mac n cheese and collard greens, and the greens were some of the best I've ever tried at a restaurant. Also was given a huge portion well worth the price. She was kind enough to let me sample her turkey and dressing which were delicious too. I'll definitely be back!

First, if you're not from Columbus (like us), the place is inside the International Marketplace…read more Now with the housekeeping out of the way, let's get to the goody ... After a really rough day on the lanes, we were hongry (yes, I spelled that correctly) and wanted soul food. The soul food place we'd visited the last time we were in Columbus closes at 6pm. It's a little after 7. So trusting my fellow Yelpers, I searched out soul food and Kays was very near our hotel. They, the Yelpers, as usual, got it right. Those of you who know us, know that we go in hard. Especially when the place has good customer service reviews. Our fellow Yelpers did not lie. The place is a kitchen staff by Kay herself and a young lady whom I'm assuming is her daughter? Nonetheless, her booming personality and jovial demeanor made us not care about what was cooking in her kitchen! We wanted it. The hand written flipboard menu was nothing less than charming. Made me feel like I was at grandma's where she put a note on the refrigerator saying this is what's for dinner. Don't spoil your appetite before then. Not an expansive daily special menu, which was cool, because when you haven't eaten since breakfast, you tend to go hog wild at the mere thought of food, and typically can't settle on anything. Pimp had pork chops, rice and gravy, and greens. I had the catfish and macaroni and cheese. When I say the silence was palpable when Pimp started chomping that chop ... He completely left the building. Him, pork chops, rice and gravy were in a different ethosphere. He did wish there was more gravy though. Greens were tender and well seasoned. My catfish was rolled with hands that had done family reunion fish frys for a long time. Well seasoned, coated and fried to perfection. The macaroni and cheese had the creamy, stringiness that you like to play with before you fly it into your mouth. It definitely had personality. But the coup de grace was indeed the service. I am completely angry, because we need to eat in this woman's kitchen at least once a month, and Columbus is 3 1/2 hours away from Detroit! The Saraga International Market is interesting in and of itself, but I'll post a different review on that. Kudos Ms. Kay. We're looking forward to them oxtails on our way home tomorrow and to many visits in the future.
