I had the BEST experience at Madeleine's. I can't thank Sherri and Misty enough for their help with finding the perfect dress for me. They made me feel so comfortable and they truly care about the bride's experience when dress shopping. My experience: I called Madeleine's to see if they had any options available that I could buy "off the rack" because another local dress shop ordered the wrong color dress that I had wanted. Sherri answered and got me in as soon as they could for an appointment. In a stressful situation, Sherri was such a light and helped as much as she could, and the shop had a lot of great options. When I went in to my appointment Misty was a huge help too! Side note, there was a good amount of options for mother of the bride dresses as well. Overall such a great experience & my dress is absolute perfection. Thank you again, Sherri and Misty for making this such a great experience! I will be sure to refer you to others when it comes to dresses. read more

Madeleine's boutique is beautifully arranged with seating areas for your party as well. Booking online was easy! They send you a questionnaire and ask you for your vision of your gown and your wedding. I really wanted a concierge type experience for the first time looking at dresses. Sherri delivered! She made me feel like a queen and encouraged my party to pick out any dress they wanted me to try on. She looked at my pinterest board for ideas, but I really had no idea what I would pick. She gave me tips on dresses and gave me honest opinions. She also had a robe for me inside the spacious dressing room and helped zip and unzip me. She has a very efficient system of trying on dresses, you can tell she knows and loves what she does!! She also didn't force me to go outside if I didn't like a particular dress, she just brought the next one with no judgement. She had a pedestal set up with a brightly lit room, and took the time to really spread the dress and train out so we could fully appreciate the dresss. She also picked out the veils that would match the dress I was wearing with my desires in mind as well. She found out that my ceremony would be taking place outdoors, so she brought me outside to see how a dress I loved would look like in the sun. It was beautiful both outdoors and inside! I tried on a few more dresses but we quickly realized I was comparing it to the one I loved. I had no expectations of finding the dress, but I did with Sherri's help! She encouraged me to put on the dress again and allowed my party and I a moment to be together. The price was super reasonable (much better than Bay Area prices according to my friends). It was such an amazing lovely time spent and I'm happy to be a Madeline's Bride!! Thank you, Sherri! read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about Sherri, the owner of Madeleine's Bridal Boutique. I ordered a custom dress, and when there were unexpected shipping issues and I still didn't have a dress 2 weeks before my wedding, Sherri immediately stepped in and went above and beyond to make things right. She kept me informed every step of the way, offered reassurance when I was stressed, and even helped me explore backup options by inviting me in multiple times to make sure I'd have something perfect no matter what happened. When my original dress finally arrived, there were several issues that added up to it not being what I had envisioned or purchased. Thankfully, because of Sherri's proactive approach, we already had a backup plan in place, and she called in an incredible seamstress (Mandy) right away to make everything perfect. I truly believe that mistakes happen but what matters most is how people handle them. While the shipping delays and inaccurate dress weren't Sherri's mistake, she handled everything with grace, honesty, and care. She made me feel heard and validated, was completely transparent, and truly went above and beyond to make sure I felt confident and taken care of. In the end, I may be wearing a different dress than I first imagined, but thanks to Sherri, I'll be walking down the aisle feeling beautiful and confident. I'm so grateful for her compassion, professionalism, and dedication. Thank you, Sherri! read more

Unfortunately the lady working there was very rude to my daughter before she even stepping into the store. She made my daughter move her car because the light was reflecting off her windshield into the store. That's Ridiculous!! Her special day should not have these type of encounters. A business should be making the brides day a memorable event, not making it a poor visit. read more

I purchased my wedding dress from Madeleine's Bridal Boutique, and what should have been one of the most exciting parts of wedding planning became one of the most stressful. I got engaged in May 2025 and started shopping early because I knew dresses could take 6-8 months. I said yes to my dress on July 5, 2025, over a year before my July 31, 2026 wedding. Yet, through issues that were no fault of my own, my fully completed dress did not make it to me until the week of my wedding. I live in San Diego but am originally from Fresno, so I specifically chose to shop there to have the experience with my family. My first appointment with Misty was wonderful. I found my dream dress but wanted the champagne underlay changed to ivory. After being told this could be done, I returned July 5 and officially said yes. I specifically asked if any additional measurements were needed because I had my wedding shoes with me and was returning to San Diego the next day. I was told no. The very next day, Misty contacted me saying Sherri needed a hollow-to-hem measurement. I had to make another trip to Fresno on August 9 specifically for it. This measurement was especially important because I am 4'8" and my gown had significant detailing along the bottom that could be compromised by traditional hemming. In December, I was told my dress had arrived. The fit and ivory color were beautiful until I looked at the length. It was extremely long, even longer than the sample. We immediately asked whether my hollow-to-hem measurement had been included. Sherri and Misty said they had it, but I was never shown the order confirming it. Because hemming would compromise the gown's detailing, the dress had to be reordered. Communication afterward became extremely frustrating. My mother made repeated calls, left voicemails and sent texts asking for updates, many of which went unanswered. We also discovered the balance in the portal differed from our original invoice and had to provide our printed July invoice before being told the original amount would be honored. By June 6, 2026, less than two months before my wedding, I returned expecting to finally take my replacement dress home. The replacement was now TOO SHORT. I was wearing the exact shoes used for my hollow-to-hem measurement. My measurements had not changed. The front of the dress was above my ankles. While I was wearing it, Sherri partially unzipped the back, pulled the dress downward and said, "There, now it is not too short." Except the dress was now sitting incorrectly and was uncomfortable. I was then asked to walk around. I explained that I was walking carefully because I did not want to scuff my wedding shoes. Sherri responded, "Why are you walking like that? Walk straight." She then asked whether my ceremony was outdoors. When I said yes, I was told that because it was outdoors, it was "fine" that the dress was short. That was incredibly upsetting. I did not order my wedding dress to be "fine" because my ceremony was outdoors. I ordered it according to measurements specifically taken so it would touch the floor in my wedding shoes. Thankfully, their independent seamstress, Mandy, was incredible. She explained what she could do to let the dress out, but she would not return until July 23 the week before my wedding. My options were to take the dress to San Diego and desperately find someone else or trust Mandy and make an emergency trip back to Fresno. I chose Mandy, and I am so grateful I did. She worked a miracle. She made the dress fit as beautifully as possible, the front finally covered my feet tastefully, and the bustle was beautiful. For the first time during this process, I felt relieved and happy with my dress. Mandy deserves every bit of credit for that. Because I flew to Fresno for the fitting, my mother and sister-in-law arranged to pick up the finished dress and bring it to San Diego. On July 28, the week of my wedding, my sister-in-law went to pick it up. Given everything that had happened, she understandably wanted to check the dress and veil before driving several hours to San Diego. Later, Sherri called my mother complaining that my sister-in-law had been rude and wanted to "take apart" the dress and veil. She was simply checking that we had received the correct items after TWO dresses had already arrived with problems. My mother finally explained how upsetting this entire experience had been: the poor communication, incorrectly handled measurements, and the lack of partnership throughout the process. Only then did Sherri apologize. Yes, my dress ultimately turned out beautiful. But it should never have taken this much stress, anxiety, travel and uncertainty to get there. I found my dream dress more than a year before my wedding specifically so I would have plenty of time. I trusted Madeleine's with one of the most important purchases for my wedding day. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend them. The dress was my dream dress but the experience was a nightmare. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Misty and Sherri. From the moment I walked in, they made me feel like family. They were warm, welcoming, and so easy to talk to. They truly listened to what I liked and didn't like, and somehow just got my style right away. They made the whole experience so comfortable and special and something I'll never forget. They were incredibly helpful and patient, never pushy, and they made the process feel fun and exciting instead of overwhelming. On top of that, they offered us champagne and water, which was such a sweet touch and made the moment feel even more like a celebration. I honestly can't imagine saying yes to the dress with anyone else. Misty and Sherri are amazing, and I'm so grateful they were part of such an important moment in my life. My stylist match me perfectly in dresses to my style and my body type. She was amazing and kind and patience with me.

I am absolutely heartbroken over the owner, Sherri, losing my wedding dress after dropping it off for cleaning and preservation back in 2022. Not only has it now been two years of trying to work with her to help locate my missing dress, she has ignored me numerous times, made empty promises to help and never even reimbursed us for the payment for the cleaning and preservation after saying that she would. I felt we had become friends during the process of my wedding which makes me feel even more hurt and heartbroken with this situation that she has created. I have even offered to help locate my wedding dress, skirt and veil. I have been very patient with her but I am completely crushed by the way she has handled this situation, the lack of care to help me, no responses, lies and the loss of an irreplaceable dress, skirt and veil from my special wedding day. The last time we spoke, she told me that she needed more time to check her storage even though we are now at two years past when it should have arrived to me. I still am holding hope that these items are found as they are irreplaceable and something my husband and I want to pass down to our kids one day. My hope is that others don't have to experience this with their special wedding dress. PLEASE, if anyone had their dress cleaned and preserved around the beginning of 2022 from this place, please double check that you received the correct dress back. I'm attaching pictures of my dress, skirt and veil in case anyone received it by their mistake. read more

I found a dress on the EddyK website Sherri worked so hard to get delivered to shop for me to try on! & I loved it. I ended up saying "yes, to the dress" at Madeleine's. UPDATE: I've now put one star unlike my original review due to the harassment ive receive from the owner once you post an HONEST review about your experience. As for the comment about it being a fake review, feel free to scroll to other reviews which basically say the same thing. Trouble with delivery date. Not coming in on time. All that. When an owner of a store goes out of her way to track down the contact info of a customer to try and harass them she's obviously bad business. If her business is so great, why does one review matter so much? Feel free to scroll to the bottom of the page to unrecommended reviews to see reviews dating back several years all with the same issues I have. The Jeff guy who messages every person who gives a negative review is also associated with Sherri. So honestly she keeps making the situation worse for herself I'll start off by saying I do love the dress I bought for $2,300. But that's all I can really say, and the only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one. I've been driving past Madeline's in old town since I was a young teenager. I enjoy supporting local and their shop seemed wonderful. It's relatively clean, has a good selection all that stuff. But the problem is well.... The owner Sherri. I ordered my dress in April of 2022. Almost 10 months before my wedding. I was told it would arrive by July or august. Unfortunately my dress did not arrive and when October came, I called and asked if it had arrived since no one had communicated with me since the day I bought the dress. I called and was told my dress WOULDNT EVEN BE ORDERED UNTIL NOVEMBER 26. As in she was trying to order my dress during the holiday season, six weeks before my wedding when I had bought it literally 6 months prior. I was extremely upset but the fun thing about this place, good luck getting ahold of Sherri. She is "either out of town" or unavailable...... and by unavailable I mean I saw her hiding in the back refusing to see clients. When my dress did finally arrive in early November, after I threw a fit back in October, I then Had to wait two weeks for Sherri to be in the store! Uhm... why? I was told Sherri had to be in store in order for me to pick up my dress so she could suggest alterations. So I waited two weeks and when I arrived Sherri wasnt even there. No one recommended alterations either. So I'm genuinely confused. Not that I would have got them done there as their pricing became more and more clear to me as overpriced and not worth the drama or stress. Considering this is supposed to be the dress for the most important day of my life so far, the experience was disappointing and disheartening. A few things about this place: 1. When your order your dress beware. I've heard from vendors that she literally CANT place the order for your dress because she's behind on her payments. So you might not get your dress until a few days before your wedding. While I cannot confirm this, it's disheartening to hear regardless that orders are not being placed by n time and therefor your constantly stressing about arrival time. 2. When you do finally receive your dress just go pick it up. You don't need Sherri for literally anything. You paid for it, so go get it. 3. She trash talks her employees in front of customers. If you work for her or have worked for her.... I'm so sorry. Making comments like "yeah she had a miscarriage. Isn't kharma a bitch" is so unbelievably disgusting. Like who says that???? Honestly if you want to buy a dress and have an amazing experience go to Ivory Bridal or Cinderella Cellar. Actually just go anywhere else. Screw supporting local. If you want to support local there's plenty of other shops to go too. Just out of spite, I'd highly recommend Ivory Bridal. I hear it's run by a former employee of hers. I did actually have an appointment at this shop, and had I known all this information I know now, I would have never supported Madeline's. A disgusting business ran by an even worse human being. read more

We honestly had a great experience with Sherri and her staff; everyone was quite nice and pleasant to work with! When we originally ordered the dress in the spring, we were concerned that it wouldn't arrive in time. We were reassured that the dress would be here in early October - and that's when it came. Sherri was also able to connect us to this lovely seamstress named Samantha, who custom made the sleeves and also did alterations on the dress. Despite the quick tight turn around for alterations (as my wedding was early November), Sherri and Sam pulled some strings and we got the dress ready for the big day just in time.
