Firstly, ALWAYS check the "__ other reviews that are not currently recommended" on Yelp. Those are…read morelinked at the very end of the displayed reviews. Yelp has this absurd AlGoreithm that automatically and mindlessly dumps perfectly valid, legitimate reviews into this "not recommended" bucket for no good reason. They generally seem to be from commenters that only have one or a couple reviews, but that is not always the case. Those "not recommended" reviews do not count in the overall star rating. Here, all those 9 reviews are solid 5-stars that clearly contradict and offset the two outliers. As will mine. I needed transportation from the hospital after an outpatient procedure. Just a car ride home. Hospitals have become very picky and obstinate about this and in these times there is nobody around. People have jobs, kids and commitments to deal with. In this sw suburb area there are virtually no options. The last local outfit I dealt with now refused to help. I was lucky enough to find Home & Hearth Caregivers after an extensive search. They were very helpful in arranging this non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) and at a very reasonable rate. But wait ... there's more. After I got to the hospital, ready for the procedure, already lying on a bed hooked up to an IV, they suddenly and unexpectedly informed me that I MUST have someone stay overnight. After substantial resulting chaos Home & Hearth came through and found somebody at the very last minute. Truly above and beyond effort. Caregivers and staff were wonderful. Very nice, polite and helpful. Couldn't ask for better. As for rates, they are typical for the area. I did compare. Billing came through clearly presented and accurate. They get my highest recommendation and should I need such services in the future, they are my #1 choice.

Grace Point Place has been my 95 year old dad's home for over a year. My dad has dementia and I…read moretried having him in my home, and neither of us was successful. The staff are always very friendly and are always happy to see my dad. My dad is very lively. I have seen the wonderful staff, sing dance and lately take him on outings. Latrice is in charge of resident outings. She has been gracious enough to allow my dad to participate in baseball outings and now takes him bowling. My dad was a great bowler. He may not remember that evening that he bowled in the morning, but in that moment, the joy was there. I am so grateful for these kind-hearted souls that have made this their life passion. Everything went perfect, I highly recommend them. My caregiver was right on time, took immediate charge from surgical recovery area, getting instructions from surgery nursing staff, to our transpiration back to my home. She was wonderful, very personable and polite and caring, was almost like having a good friend there with you and accompanying you home. Avoid Oasis Hospice at All Costs…read more As POA for my 81-year-old mother with dementia, I trusted Oasis to provide compassionate hospice care. That trust was completely misplaced. Despite promises, no care plan was ever created. I never met the doctor, CNA, or lead nurse, and repeated requests for communication were ignored. My mother developed a UTI that went undiagnosed for weeks until I demanded testing -- after which she improved drastically. Staff blamed her behavior on dementia instead of doing their job. Worse, Oasis kept her heavily sedated without my knowledge or consent. One nurse falsely accused her of swinging -- then retracted it when I challenged her. Only one nurse, Ms. Latrice, showed professionalism and followed up. The rest? All talk, no care. This isn't a place of compassion -- it's a cold, careless business. I wouldn't recommend them under any circumstance.
